Pretty sure this store is run just as a hobby or as a front for something else. Open 7 hours a day, 5 days a week. The staff, who seem to be all related, are a bit curt, if not outright rude and snotty. I now go miles out of my way to buy my liquor.

My favorite liquor store when I was in college. Fin selection of bitters. The broad price range has a few great finds in everything from the bottom shelf to affordable mid-range bottles. Counter staff is always helpful and fun too. Heck, I just upped my review from four to five stars because I had so much fun writing it.

Open late when others are not. Staff was friendly and helpful. Good location to grab your bottle and still be in the locale of many venues.

The owners are always there and are always pleasant and professional. This store also has the Best selection of liqueur that I have ever seen. Its a tiny shop, so thats saying a lot. They sell limes 10 for a dollar... Other liquor stores dont exactly do anything like that. Another store that I frequent sells them for a dollar each... Just sayinI dont normally post reviews but I am particularly fond of this joint.

This is one of the best selection liquor stores in Portland. For whatever reason this store has a much more varied selection of liqueurs and top shelf liquor. The OLCC search engine is the way to find exactly what you need, but Ive had good luck finding bottles here. For example my local store stared at me blankly when I asked about passion fruit liqueur. These guys had two different brands (Giffard and another).

Really chill place to find an amazing selection of bitters and flavors. With an excellent liquor selection to boot! (no beer, wine, or smokes though)

A fairly average liquor store. We had to walk all the way around the outside to find the entrance dont believe the signs the entrance is in the middle of the square. Good selection neatly organized stock. Everything from vodka to tequila. They do not sell wine and beer.

Theres a 78% chance youll be asked to buy booze for a homeless guy if youre within 50 yards of this store. That said, theyre very nice. The people at the store I mean. Not the homeless.

Staff is great and it seems like half the times Ive been theres been some new distiller offering samples. Pretty fair selection.

The staff here is always very helpful and friendly. I came in today with a list of items I needed: some specific, some not. I was helped find items that fit my budget and given honest recommendations. There was no pressure to spend more than I liked or buy things that I wasnt interested in, which was critically important to me. I always feel very comfortable and welcome in this liquor store and will definitely continue visit it even if I no longer near as close as I do currently.

Lots of liquor to choose from. great employees. Prices seemed very reasonable. the inside feel of the inside feel of the place was that of one in a shady neighborhood that suffered from multiple break ins but I dont know the area. And the staff was very friendly to our drunk a$$as. No complaint from me

Its hidden away, I like this store because of its location but also they seem to have some really good deals on some of their bottles. They o ly have liquor and no wines or champagne, however the convenience store right outside sells beer and wine. Helped when we really needed some champagne.

A lovely little hole in the wall liquor store. Its compact, but features many options of liquor. And at the time of my visit the staff were friendly. If youre looking for beer, youll find none here. Otherwise take a step inside, for liquor to imbibe.

One of the best liquor stores in town, and more convenient than the other downtown liquor stores because it offers off-street parking. The new owner (since summer 2012) is as friendly and helpful as the original owners (Elsie & Dorsey). Make sure to ask for recommendations and hell occasionally pull out some limited quantity items from the back room.

Friendly, unpretentious staff that doesnt care if you dont know a thing about liquor - theyll gladly help you purchase something based on what you know you like. For those that enjoy liquor a bit more, they also offer expert recommendations on what to find within your specified price range and can suggest great choices for you.

Awesome people working in an excellantly stocked liquor store

I just watched them kick out a 50+ year old tourist because he didnt have American ID. The guy was completely reasonable but confused. Im 40 and they didnt card me so i know they dont have to card everyone. I usually dont jump to conclusions but it seemed pretty xenophobic to me.

I have shopped at PCL for some years and would have rated it highly until yesterday. My wife, 75 years old, bought over $100 worth of liquor there and was treated shabbily. The clerk was loath to help her find a particular brand, grumbled about her credit card, and let her carry out a heavy box of liquor with no help, not even so far as to open the door, so that she had to put the box down on the floor, open the door, hold it with her foot, pick up the box again and carry it to the car, some distance off. We will think very carefully before shopping there again. I hope the owner stops this sort of behavior by employees and continues to be successful.
