Small shop with decent selection. What do you need from a liquor store besides booze and a few mixers. They have a variety of things, and there are better prices and selections out there. If you live close or it’s on your way home for gods sake why would you go anywhere else.

Great little liquor store tucked into N Portland. Definitely have a few gems here and run by a tight-knit group of people (family?). Definitely a clean shop with a good selection of mixers and bitters and a pretty good selection of everything. Scotch and bourbon are my go to picks but their rum and tequila selection had some goodies. I havent tried to get a rare bottle from here yet but I will in the ear future and will update my experience then! Definitely check them out.

Remarkable selection of spirits given the small space. Prices are reasonable and staff are friendly. My only complaint is that you have to hand staff your card to pay and they dont have sanitized their pens (although they do have have sanitizer handy for after the transaction).

Great little liquor store with tasteful choices to fill the small space. Aside from liquor you can get wine, bitters, and a few bar tools. They are doing an excellent job of only allowing a few people in the shop at a time with floor markers for distancing.

Surprised to find black walnut bitters... What a good selection of items. Clean too. Very nice people working there. Will make it my go to place when in the neighborhood.

Listen, Oregon liquor stores all have access to the same liquor. But a staff that recognizes your purchasing habits and provides suggestions based, and further asks questions about suggestions for their own purchasing is amazing. I recently discovered the amazing world of Scotch, Whisky, Whiskey and Rye, and the staff at North by Northeast has been their to help build my collection.

Convenient. Local. Clean. But I dont tend to frequent local businesses whose default position with regard my bike bag is that Im there to steal from them. Their all bags MUST be left at the door sign is not welcome in Portland. Our community are not a bunch of thieves and I will not patronize a business whose default position is that we are.

Such a great place. The owners are incredibly personable and knowledgeable... they schedule interesting tastings and provide good product information in a no-pressure kind-of-way. Even when Im not drinking spirits, I still head here to get my ginger ale just to say hello!

Great new liquor store. I was looking for a smooth whiskey that I hadnt had yet and the clerk made an awesome recommendation based on what I was trying to find. Just a perfect little place for the neighborhood. I hope theyll be a staple on the street for years to come.

Tried to make a purchase and was denied because my (real, valid) Oregon ID wouldnt scan. Even though it has my DOB on it and is a valid ID. Had to come back with my passport to prove my DOB.The store itself is fine, and the clerk wasnt rude at all, but the system database clearly needs to be updated more often.

Staff is very helpful, selection is excellent, and prices are in point.

I live a block down the road so this is my go to liquor store. Ive never once been in this place when the staff hasnt been extremely friendly and knowledgable. Really a great vibe and good selection.

This place is fantastic. Many choices for every occasion and knowledgeable employees to help you pick out exactly what you are looking for. I was shopping for christmas presents and they helped me find what I needed for everyone. Ill come back here every time!

These folks are the greatest. We visit them often *whoops*. We are always greeted with smiles & offers for help. When assistance is needed they are prompt and knowledgeable.

Very limited selection. The staff dont seem to know anything about spirits either. I kept having to ask the delivery person for stocked items and recommendations. I asked the desk person for a cheap but decent bourbon (I know its a tall order but I did my research and found five Bourbons under $25 that received decent reviews, none of which they had in stock much less heard of). He directed me to a $45 bottle of something in the case right in front of him. I dont know if it was laziness or him not paying attention but $45 isnt cheap and he didnt even seem to try.There are way better liquor stores in Portland although they are a bit further away. I would recommend the liquor store in Kenton or the one on 9th and NE Broadway.

Prior to my 1st visit the owner bent over backwards to reply to my questions via Google. The store itself is clean & well organized. However the staff was very curt & pretentious upon seeing me choose their least expensive whiskey. A $50 buy.

Your customers keep parking in the driveway to my apartment. So I have to wait for them to leave before parking my car. Its a huge pain the a@s to deal with, especially when I just want to get home.
