My wife and I like to joke that the employees here Ill probably sampling the wares in the back, because they are always in such a good mood! They also have a really great selection and better hours the most other liquor stores in a 10 mile radius. The store is clean and tidy, and laid out in a way that makes sense, with signage everywhere to help you find what you are looking for.

This place packs A LOT of high quality inventory into a small space. Everyone is knowledgeable and accessible, and theyll seek out new and unusual brands. There are at least 10 different vermouth brands, probably more. Im excited to try these two, Ill go for the $45.00 rouge vermouth next time ;)

Everything youd want in a neighborhood liquor store. The staff are always friendly and helpful with recommendations, etc. and they have an excellent selection of various whiskeys including some great bourbon store picks and a fairly extensive offering of scotches. Its my go-to store in Portland.

Second time in this business. A very helpful tall man helped me find what i was looking for.The female with dark hair has no clue about customer service or hates her job so much she cant greet customers or say thank you. Both times this woman wont say hello or anything but that wil be $25 so sad employees dont appreciate customers that choose to shop and spend money that helps pay them to work there. DONT think Ill be going back.Everyone else is real nice that works there!

Most employees are customer service savvy except one...the woman with dark hair never greets or says hello. Seems unhappy working there with negative attitude & energy towards customers.No hi may i help you? Or any pleasant exchange off any kind. Have to ask for a bag and receipt she doesnt offer any help.Thought maybe she had a bad day first time i had to deal with her but three times of her rudeness is enough to go elsewhere for business!😔😬🍷🍸🍹

Never been to this spot before as the neighborhood is a lil rough but It was new years eve and I was close by.Was pleasantly surprised on the great service and good selection.Lady behind the counter made me laugh so hard I passed on that positive spirit at least til 12:10am.

After some dude almost attacked me outside the store, the lady who checked me out told me that she thinks things will be worse when all the illegals come. She was also only wearing a face shield and not a mask.

Friendly staff, they keep some of their liquors in a cooler behind the register so its ice cold when I go to buy. These little ma & pa stores are a dying breed so support your local businesses. Buy more booze! Lol

If youre looking for the run or the mill liquor there ok but if youre looking for any allocated bottles look elsewhere. They hide them in the back of the store and the manager holds them for his friends is what the lady at the counter told me.

I live in Louisville, Ky home of all things bourbon, but there were a couple of brands that were impossible to find. My brother lives in Portland and suggested that I call this shop. The folks there were—Jenny especially—so kind and helpful—they carried the brands I needed, and even held them for my brother to pick up. Next time I’m in Portland I’m going to pay them a visit personally. Thanks Gateway!

They require masks. Whereas most businesses could care less if youre wearing a face diaper, this place goes out of there way to enforce the mask policy. If you appreciate that sort of thing, then by all means mask up and buy some liquor here.For everyone else, I suggest Menlo Park liquor store. They have the required mask sign but dont enforce it.

Solid and consistent selection, same prices as every other liquor store in Oregon, tiny parking lot if the street side parking spots are full, decent beer/wine/cider options, staff is usually friendly and will open a second or third register if a line forms...all in all a pretty good option for your liquor purchasing needs in NE Portland

Never been to a liquor store and they were great. I was able to calk ahead and have it at counter. Lovely and will only come here now.

They were VERY busy but still took the time to help my husband find a new whiskey he would likely enjoy based on other tastes. I felt confident shopping at a place where they were knowledgeable and grateful there are still places that take the time to help a new customer.

I definitely love the people that work here. Its not in the greatest neighborhood so I always end up getting hit up for money or booze but the workers make it all worth the while. I definitely will continue to shop here because its super convenient when I go grocery shopping at WinCo.

Oh heck no! Terrible customer service, the guy here was a major jerk. I have learned that convenience is not worth stopping again, I will go out of my way from now on to get my liquor.

Its a little small. I was accused of drinking too much even though I had only been in there once before months earlier. I had to convince the cashier that she was thinking of someone else. Not exactly what anyone wants to be accused of ever, especially when checking out at a liquor store.
