Seriously.My old PDX house has an old garage with a 16 door that was one sheet of very heavy metal. I had to manually pull it up and down, on giant and rusty springs, and it would frequently jump the tracks and basically threaten my life. It was a monster. My garage also has really low ceiling clearance, so it is a tricky installation for an automatic door.As a general contractor, Dotan was able to handle all of this with ease. He managed the low clearance, the slanted and sloping boards (nothing in a 110 year old house is plumb), and the old death-trap door. At the end of one day, he left me with a gorgeous, lightweight, automatic door that goes up and down with the push of a button. Brilliant.On top of the skilled workmanship, Dotan is also super friendly, flexible, and accommodating. Amanda, who handles the administrative side, is friendly and detail oriented. They communicated with me about everything, from scheduling to installation specifics to invoicing, and were just generally awesome to work with. I would call them again in a second, and I would recommend them to anyone.

I called DBar in order to replace my garage door remotes. Unfortunately my mechanism was very old, and the universal remotes that the tech gave me didnt work well at all. After I called to report that they didnt work, the owner came to my home, replaced my old unit, provided a new belt, lubed the whole thing and charged me a fraction of the cost. Actually, I only wanted a new unit, but he replaced everything which made it smooth like butter! I loved the honesty, integrity and downright kindness of this man! I highly recommend this company!

Wow. I wish all companies were just like D-Bar. I had some issues with my 3 wood garage doors. They returned my call promptly, came out the next day at the time they indicated, and performed the work to get the springs tensioned as well as doing a complete inspection. Honest feedback, no oversell (nothing needed to be replaced). Very professional. Very reasonably priced (better than expected!). Doors work great. Will not hesitate to use them again.

Dotan came to our rescue after one of the garage door springs suddenly broke and trapped our car inside. Not only was he quick to help us out, but did so without any hidden charges, or service call fees, unlike others. He was very competitively priced and we couldnt have been more pleased with the quality of his work and his work ethic. We did not like the way your Tech spoke to us or the way he acted. He showed up with no mask or gloves and said if that bothered us we could put a mask on. That was it and we sent him away. I am not sure if this happened before but we did not feel safe with your company in our house.

They installed a new electronic unit in my garage. They did good work, quickly, and communicated very well.I called them because my garage door would not open and a friend told me that he was sure the unit that controls the door had finished its time because changing the light-bulb or the socket would not help.I called this company because my next-door neighbor recommended them.I talked with Dotan, the owner. He gave me a price on the phone, which I liked because another place told me it would cost something between $399 and $699, which was too much of a range for me, and I dont like making a decision with the seller standing there and waiting.I asked Dotan if he could come the next day because we were headed to a hot weekend and I did not want the car to stand outside and get too hot. He agreed.He came within the one-hour window he gave himself. He was pleasant, friendly, practiced physical-distancing, left the working area clean of all debris, and most importantly, the door works smoothly and quietly.

This company was really gross. They took forever to show up and when they came over they were very sloppy. We were forced into doing the work with you because your tech would not leave unless we paid him. Worst mistake by trusting this mickey mouse company.

D Bar has been a great company to work with. A few years back we had our old system replaced by D Bar and they did a great job installing a new and much quieter unit for a reasonable price. Fast forward to a couple of months ago when one of our springs broke. Not knowing at the time what had happened, I call Dotan at D Bar and he was able to figure out the issue over the phone. Dotan came out and replaced the spring, re-balanced the door, and reset the limits, noting that we had a mold issue on our door and telling us how to control it. After my husband took Dotans advice on cleaning the mold and replacing a weather strip, our door limits were thrown off. Dotan came out within 48 hours and reset our limits for us, explaining how to do it in the future. The visit was so brief, we were not even charged! Thanks, D Bar!

I had just moved into a new home and needed both a garage door opener installed, as well as having the locks re-keyed. Dotan was absolutely the right guy for the job! Theres a difference between satisfied with the service which I probably would have been with D Bar BUT I was extremely dissatisfied with my experience. I am a HUGE researcher before I buy goods and services but this time I didnt because I was desperate and it sounded like a great deal at the time that the $45 service fee would go towards the labor/parts BUT it became a terrible deal when he told me the $500 total cost at the appointment. Excuse me, $495. I take responsibility too for blindly trusting and not asking more questions over the phone beforehand. First time homeowner. And I actually ended up paying a $50 service fee because he didnt have $5 in change. Also, before that, I was given a 2 hour window and he came about 20-30 mins after that. My time is valuable too. But I became even more annoyed with their pricing when I actually did my due diligence and called probably like 20 different companies afterwards and found out exactly what was included in their cost (service fee if applicable, warranty, 1 vs 2 spring options, next availability, ect) for a torsion conversion. I hate nothing more then when the price is jacked up as it is and then they do you a favor by lowering it after calling their boss. Why not charge that in the first place? (I didnt even think of that at the time - my friend did as she expressed her frustration for us). I spent about 6 hours researching to find a way to still save plenty even after eating the $50 service fee cost and I did! Im just glad that I listened to my gut at the time of the service call and ended up going with another company that exceeded my expectations!Ive never been one to do reviews. Even when Im extremely satisfied or highly unsatisfied. I hate reviewing products (and I buy ALOT on Amazon) or services because Im not good with words. But recently I started reviewing and am now motivated more then ever to keep it up whether Im satisfied or not because if my comment benefits even 1 person, then my job here is done!
