Our microwave oven tripped the circuit breaker and I could not reset it, leading me to assume the switch was defective. Someone came out and said the switch needed replacing, but he didnt have the correct part. He was on the phone for some time trying to have the part delivered, but then realized that the switch needed to be first turned off completely before being reset. He should have realized this immediately. Now Ive received a bill for $225, their minimum charge for the first hour of service. (This is over 15% increase from what they charged just a few months ago, without alerting me of a price increase.) I was very unhappy about the charge, and called to complain. Their only proposed adjustment was a charge of JUST $150. Ive had other companies under similar circumstances void the service charge. I will definitely not call this company again.

Contacted them about putting in a charger for an electric vehicle. They told me to take pictures of the electrical box and send it to them. I did that and three days later called them to ask if they had any further input. They told me it would take up to ten days to get back to me. Two weeks later I have not heard from them. I wouldnt bother with them. They seem to busy to want to help. Would never call them again

Knob and Tube abatement workI have a 1907 home that needed the KnT removed for insurance purposes.Im somewhat handy myself and could have done some of it but it was a big job and most of the remaining KnT was difficult to access - wires running between 2 floors to service downstairs lights and upstairs floor plugs.For this kind of work you need not only a knowledgeable electrician, but someone skilled in dealing with remodel work and older homes to minimize the wall patching needed after a job of this kind.These guys were recommended to me by an electrician friend of mine and they were everything I could have hoped for.I had thought about this job a lot before engaging anyone and knew the issues pretty well - everyone I dealt with really know their job. They understood and could answer every question I had.Levi the estimator was knowledgeable, professional, thorough, and ACCURATE.Cameron the installer was great. On time, great communicator, very skilled. We talked a lot and he was personable and could answer every question I threw at him. He was very considerate - I saw him take hours extra making difficult-to-fish routes inside the walls where it would have been much easier and faster to cut more holes in my walls.Another testament to their reputation - when the inspector came I was walking him through all the work that was done and I commented on how quickly he was progressing and he said he knew these guys and they do excellent work.Based on my experiences, the owners obviously treat their people well here.I highly recommend them!

I had a frayed ground wire and West Side fit me in between jobs to take care of a potentially dangerous situation. The job was done quickly and efficiently and without a fuss. I have a secure ground now thanks to their care. I will definitely be using this company when I next am in need of electrical service.

We needed to upgrade our electrical panel and get an attic fan installed to help keep our bonus room cool in the summer months. I chose West Side because they had been voted Best Electricians in Nashville Scene. I liked that their owner is a Master electrician and doesnt cut corners. All worked out great and prices were fair.

I had West Side replace a circuit breaker and add ground wire to an old house. The completed work looked very clean compared to what was there before. Also, my interactions with the inspector and electrician were timely and professional.

Westside Electric has come out three times to the church where I pastor. Each time job has been done professionally, good protocols followed and analysis of the issues and each employee has been helpful and courteous. They are prompt and problems were resolved quickly so operations can continue with all building occupants.

After driving around town for almost three hours to find a specific mounting bracket that the electrician told me he needed to hang my lamps after I told him everything that was used to hang them the last time was in the box, I returned annoyed and sweating to find he was hanging the third and final light sans the mounting brackets he had to have! Apparently my time is worth nothing, and he did not feel the need to phone me and let me know he didnt actually need the parts- as I told him he didnt at the get go. Do you think they will deduct those three hours off the labour bill?

In August 2016 West Side Electric in Portland, Oregon charged me $185 for a problem they were not able to solve of sporadic power failures that lasted for hours every few days. They recommended a new meter box for about $1000.00. Another company, Oakley, came with a screw driver and tightened up a screw in the meter and the problem was solved. Westside ignored my explanation as to why I should not have to pay. I paid when a second bill arrived so as not to jeopardize my credit rating.

Estimator was fantastic upon appointment. I was promised a written estimate that would take less than 20 minutes. 2 weeks later, I am unable to get any response from this company. No estimate was ever sent. No return calls. Needless to say, my business will go elsewhere, and I will make sure others know that dealing with West Side is a waste of time.

We had an urgent problem getting our electric hot water heater back in operation after 2 dsys with no hot water & newborn baby in the house. Called fir help at noon & Service Tech atrived at 3:15pm to quickly solve our problem. Great company - HIGHLY recommended!

West Side Electric saved our Thanksgiving Day... I went to change the bulb in our double oven (simple enough right...wrong) After changing the bulb I went to plug the stove back into the outlet and pooof.Electical arc and we were done for. I called West Side in a panic they got an electrician over to us right away. He replaced the 220v outlet and even went so far as to replace the cord from the stove which actually caused the short. With the wink of an eye he was off to the next appointment. Thank you West Side for saving our Thanksgiving.. You guys truly Saved the Day!!

After receiving several bids from other electrical installers for my business needs, I remembered WSE was in my neighborhood. Their bid was much lower than any of the others so I hired them. I was concerned that because their price was so reasonable, I may not be happy with the work, however they did an excellent job, got it done quickly, and were very polite and a pleasure to work with. I highly endorse WSE.
