Friendly staff and the coffee is even better. A cute, hole-in-the-wall location with only a few tables. Busy morning rush but mostly grab-and-go customers.

Theres always something delicious to be had here, whether its the Bake Shop pastries or the seasonal drinks or just a drip coffee. Katie is really sweet and hardworking, and (I think) Johnny is the one who always plays really fun music. My only gripe is that it can be hard to find a place to sit on the outdoor patio, but that just goes to show how well-loved it is!

They make really good coffee. Always smooth and the staff was nice.I stayed here for several hours while working on my laptop. A huge hit to this place is no outlets.I also bought two bags of coffee to grind myself. Each back of 340g was $18. I would say overall the price is expensive.I would go back and recommend the coffee shop to a friend.

A pretty nice place. The coffee is fairly priced, and they also sell breakfast burritos in addition to their coffee. Their seating isnt actually inside the same room as the bar that sells the coffee, it is in a more public area shared by the other businesses in the building. The seats are just hard wooden benches and chairs, but the woodgrain aesthetic is chill and very nice. The place is a bit dark if there isnt a lot of sun out.

So the coffee is good and really really hot. All about the coffee without a show. What a relief. The store itself is like off to the side in a hallway it shares with a cool furniture store. There are tables in the hallway out of the cold and damp and you can bring your dog.

The coffee here is good, but not the absolute best Ive found in Portland for my tastes- (see other reviews!).I hate lines (which says the coffee is good here), and each time Ive been there is a line.. it was worth the wait! The outdoor seating is a nice spot to sit, drink and contemplate the world going by.Give it a go, it is worth it - it is good, and may be more to your taste than mine!

Staff is super chill, knowledgeable, and helpful. Menu is pretty minimalistic, but everything they serve is really high quality. Honestly a bit disappointed by this place. It was a nice space with a cool atmosphere, but the espresso was just alright and the chocolate croissant wasnt warmed up (the barista didnt ask if I wanted it warmed), with the result that the chocolate was essentially a brick-hard layer at the bottom of the croissant.

I went here for the first time today expecting an average cafe experience. EXPECTATIONS EXPLODED. I do not normally go online and rate services so this should not be taken lightly. First I was surprised by the adorable little heart made on top of my beverage, but then I took a sip of this delicious creation and my eyes nearly popped out of my face. I have never tasted better hot chocolate in all of my life. Thank you Barista!

Id been told to go to Barista for a good latte. It was definitely a good latte, in fact it was the best latte Ive had in my life! I normally put a sugar in my lattes to assist in the flavor. The beans in this were absolutely delicious. Kind of sweet and just enough bitterness to leave you wanting more. So so so good. GO HERE!

Truly great coffee, seemingly never a place to sit. Seriously, 5-Star coffee, third-world breadline vibes to get it. Still, it was my go-to for to-go coffee because of their rotating bean menu, paired with the consistent drink quality told me that it wasn’t just great beans, it was great barista-ing! Sadly, their move to bottling their cold brew jumped the Stumptown shark for me and I quit going there. If I’m going to wait five plus minutes in line, I want more than someone opening a bottle and handing it to me in less time than it took to take my money. Bottling the cold brew took away that unique rotating bean experience in my opinion. And I don’t want to have to ask for - and be charged extra for - a cup of ice when I order their cold brew.

Im not kidding, and Im not exaggerating: best. coffee. ever. anywhere.Dont take a coffee newbie here: its expensive, and they wont appreciate it.Dont take your friend here if they say oh, maybe Ill just get a tea... no. You get coffee at Barista. The best coffee you have ever tasted.Personally, I like the Mocha. Its is the only place in Portland, and probably the world that I would order a sissy-coffee drink like that. You see, their mocha isnt milk chocolate sweetness, its a dark, hard-hitting, bitter concoction of amazingness. You know that scene in the movie Elf, where he walks into a coffee shop and says you did it!! Worlds best coffee, congratulations!! ... thats what I want to say every time Im here.

I got a drip coffee and when I put the cream in it it seemed grainy. So I asked the baristas and they politely said the acid from the coffee curdled the cream and its fine. So I tasted it and it was really sour. So I put a bunch of sugar in it like 4 spoons ful and it was still sour like sour milk. So I threw it away. Ill make myself another cup at home. Will avoid in the future.

This is probably one of my favorite coffee joints in Portland. They do not roast their own beans, however they have a selection of the best coffee from around the USA. You can choose from 2-3 espresso roasts, get a drip or do a pour over. Small interior and exterior space to hang out and do some work.
