I purchased an item from eBay from this company. When I placed the hooks in alcohol and then removed them, the paint literally came off the earrings and onto my fingers! This is what Beth had to say via eBay. It is indeed unfortunate that you did that. There is no such warning much like you would not put a warning on them not to place in any other chemical. While we understand that this may cause us to lose you as a customer, we are unable to replace them for you. It is fairly common knowledge that you should never place any painted earrings in any chemical, regardless if you have done so before, without knowing the outcome. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
