We got there real close to closing and was able to make several purchases. They were all very helpful as my sister was in a wheelchair which made things go much slower and they had very good patience as we were probably the last people in the store to leave, they had to unlock the doors to let us out after a last minute rest room visit after our purchase was complete. My sis was also pretty difficult to deal with, so they did extremely well with patience.

Prefer to shop local and support community. Recently product (clothing) availability was limited sure hope its due to seasonal changes. Employees were kind and helpful ( Edna) was fantastic..enjoy my Washington Square location

Never thought I would be fat shamed in a JCpenny, but here we are. Came in today looking for shirts and found a few that I liked, and while on the way to the fitting room an older man who works there greeted me and then saw that I was carrying “slim fit” tees (mind you I’m not “slim”)and then looks me up and down and says “those are slim fit” insinuating that I wouldn’t fit in what I chose.Small comments carry a huge meaning sometimes and this definitely is one of those times.

Never enough check out people, always long, long lines. Store is pretty empty and on-line pick up there is always a long wait.Hey, five stars to the guy that works on curbside pick up!

Typical old fashioned department store, but a little messy

Well this is why we are all switching to online shopping the customer service is horrible all they cared about was they would be closing in 45 min every 10 min we got told they would be closing not a delightful shopping kind of way but that will just teach us for next time

I walked in with my return and was told, returns are done at the shoe department. Having never been there I said, I dont know where that is.The sales lady said nothing. I wandered around the store looking until I found it. Return was quick and easy.

Really nice store. The sales staff were friendly. However they didnt seem to have a whole lot of merchandise on the sales floor. Lots of empty space.

You can see they are struggling but they are doing the best they can with what they have. Sometimes its hard to find an employee and or stock, but they are mostly competitive in their prices but they wont match prices which really surprised me since I 2ould think that getting some profit is better than letting us walk and buy some where else. We have shopped Pennys for decades and Im sorry to see how their lack of leadership at higher levels is dropping the ball. Sigh

One of the worst JCPENNEYs Ive ever been to. The womens plus size and big and tall are away from the other womens and mens departments, upstairs next to the kids clothing. Thank you for excluding me. I am on a knee scooter and when I asked if there was a bathroom on that floor the employee said no but she could show me where the nearest elevator was. I was standing right by the salon and saw a bathroom so I asked if I could go in that one. Another woman said of course, you can use that restroom and the other woman gave her a dirty look. I get that Washington Square Mall is where the higher class people go to shop but I didnt expect the employees to act the same way.

Found a cute too and a pair of blue jeans for less than $20.00!!!

An employee lied to my disabled client about what she was signing up for. Employee told my disabled client she was signing up for a club card to get a discount and 2 days later she was mailed a credit card. Employee told my disabled client that that there was no credit check and signed her up for a credit card. I am filing a complaint with social services and will be in touch with you about this matter. Your employee broke the law

Horrible Customer Service!!!! The womens department representative was rude and put me on hold—never got thru to anyone. No wonder I stopped shopping there—but Dear Mom always shopped at Pennys….not worth the hassle!

The staff at the front desk at Pennys were very helpful. I had figured out a piece of furniture I wanted but was reluctant to order it online. They ordered it for me and I paid at the store.

Its an okay enough store but their facilities desperately need an update. The fitting room carpet is dusty and disgusting. You can tell they dont clean it good enough. The walls have sections where some sort of reddish pink color got dyed onto them. Theres holes in the walls, dust is everywhere, etc. The only decent thing about the fitting room are the mirrors and the lighting. The bathrooms are also in desperate need or an upgrade. But whats more important is that they need to cleaned more. The floor is often littered with toilet paper and it seems that a lot of customers dont know how to flush a toilet

I used to go here first for all my familys needs. Since the pandemic, there inventory is horrible and bare. Next time I need something, I wont even bother.

Jc Pennys is a store with acceptable clothing at acceptable prices with a decent shopping experience all items are about double the price compared to Amazon customer service is good but they are understaffed so youll be waiting on the customer service for a long time overall experience is not good but also not horrible in one word acceptable.

Worst service ever. The associate at the billing counter gave false information to open a JCPenny credit card. I called customer care to find the promotional offer she had explained while opening the account and I was told there was no such offer and very dissatisfied with the customer service as how rudely they talk to their customers. Such a waste of time. I will not be shopping here ever in the future. Wish there was a 0 star on the feedback.

Why did I come to JCPenney to shop? Don’t do it. Only one check out in the whole store which is same as returns so looong line. Had to walk the store back and forth finding a place to take our money to buy something. Ridiculous no customer service.

Solid prices on basic items

I like this store.. it is becoming more and more rare to find stores (in-person or/and online ) with great deals, lower everyday pricing, a wide variety of clothing styles, and home furnishings that will suit almost everyone in the (working class, middle class, and even in no class like me) feel like we matter and deserve to feel and look our best also; with minimal effort expended and treated with respect by employees and management alike. This store has treated me right my whole life and it still has my loyalty now.

Confusing layout inside (like all of their stores really) but that becomes a problem when trying to find your car again after picking something up. And it would be great if the door where pick up happened was indicated with signs around the outside so you could park at that entrance rather than having to walk all through the store. A curbside option would also be nice for those more at risk who still want to be able to purchase items there.

This place was a mess. From clothes strewn on the floor to misspelled signage, to mannequins with Neanderthal limbs, management needs some assistance here.

Pennys has always been our best holiday shopping place. Prices are good, lots of specials with a large supply and assortment in every department. I love NIKE so it was great to receive and easy to exchange my new sweats for a smaller size!

Everyone was so helpful, low inventory so little selection however, staff was more than happy to order for you!

Every year we get family photos. There are more in our group than most photo establishments will allow. Thankful to the team here for working with our group of 13 to get us in and out in a timely manner. Our photographer Clifford was excellent and helped to get a great Christmas photo for our entire family. Were hopeful to have the same experience next year.

Has a great traditional hair salon (upstairs). My 88 year old mom was looking for a salon to get a get her hair set and this was just the place. I brought her to the salon, they took care of her, and called me when she was done. Perfect.

I really dont have much to say about this location. I strolled through here in my way into the mall from the parking lot. It seems like a great store. I bought a pair of shoes. They were on a good sale. I also took advantage of their hydration station and quenched my thirst.
