I purchased my car from Courtesy Ford and have had all service done there. I finally said, enough is enough!! They have no idea what an appointment is. I made an appointment with Midas for my routine oil change. They had my car in the bay right at my appointment time!! Also, rotated my tires and topped off all fluids. They were done within an hour. The guys were so friendly, kind and professional. They, have a new customer for life!!

Went in to get an uber inspection on my Jeep, these inspections are a 20 point check which should take about 20 mins. The moment I mentioned that I was looking for an inspection the owner got extremely combative with me. Told me it would be $25 (its 20 at les schwab) then told me its a 2 week wait.He then proceeded to tell me how this wait time was an uber problem, and he has had to deal with drivers expecting to get the inspection for free, and basically shoved all of his displeasure with uber on me.I told him, that uber drivers usually burn through 30 to 40k miles per year, and that if they have a 2 week wait for an inspection, its likely they wont want to come back for tires when they need them if this experience (getting yelled at because of someone elses actions) is thier first experience.He then told me Dont tell me how to run my business, have a good day as he walked away.Very unpofessional, not a shop I would ever want to deal with again, insane wait times for simple and quick issues, rude interactions, just a total s$#t show.Do yourself a favor and go to any tire shop but this one, Les Schawb and Discount Tires have always treated me great, wish I would have not wasted my time, but I learned to never go here again.

Jason and Roger were amazing. We took a car in for a pre-purchase inspection. Unfortunately, several problems came up with the car. The good news is that we were able to use that as a bargaining chip when we negotiated the price of our car (and fortunately, we were later able to get a lot of it covered under warranty). I appreciated their offer to bring us back to the shop to hear the audible problem with the rear wheel bearings and the see the dirty oil that needed a change (among other things). We felt confident returning to the dealership to bring all of this up, and they knocked several hundred dollars off what wed already negotiated. We came here because it was open on a Saturday and we didnt want someone else to buy the car. They were fast and so thorough. I trusted their opinion and am happy with my purchase in the end. Peace of mind for $140 bucks, and we made that up and then some upon our return. Thanks guys!

Roger had the best customer service! I had my brakes done at this Midas and I was amazed on how thorough Roger was and that he gave me options! I was totally expecting to be told my car needed all these things and to be given one big price for it all but Roger gave me several options and let me decide what to do based on what they found. I was able to get what i needed done and i will be back for all of the other things he suggested later. I really appreciate the transparency and customer service and i can not recommend this shop enough!

I came in thinking I needed new brakes. They gave me an honest inspection and said I easily have 15-25K miles or more to go on both front and back. They could have said yep spend money on brakes you dont yet need. I will continue going back.

These guys went out of their way to get me on the road and off to work. They were short handed and it was overly hit and they still came through. Mad respect.

I was a bit stunned when I called to check if this Midas carried a specific tire. The at the time courteous rep went sour when I mentioned I should contact the Michelin man website that directed me here, since this Midas doesn’t carry this tire that the website claims is here I thought I would save someone else the time. So instead of sending me on my way with a friendly salutations. He utters......” sounds like a lot of work” and then just hangs up on me. If you can imagine that left me with the worst feeling. The time was today 8/18 @10:02 am . If you have cameras you can pinpoint the time and who pick up calls at that time. That person could be bad for business & should not be dealing with customers, maybe only tires. Who knows how many other customers he’s left feeling like that.

I’ve been taking my vehicles to this shop for years. Honest, direct, friendly service from these guys for over 10 years. Highly recommended. Both the managers are extremely pleasant, attentive, and looking out for their customers. Excellent shop. I do all my factory recommended maintenance here rather than the dealership for my Dodge charger

Brought car in for cooling system problem. They quickly diagnosed that the thermostat was incorrect size from previous fix elsewhere. Replaced with correct part, needed genuine Ford part, not aftermarket. Checked all fluid levels. Reasonable priced repair. $180.00. Staff friendly, thorough, knowledgeable. First time visit. Will return for future needs.

Ive been a Midas customer at this shop since it was located on 82nd ave, Ive had new tires, shocks, brakes, oil changes, etc; for over 12 years on different vehicles. Roger and Jason, as well as Joshua and others in the shop are very competent and professional at this location, and thats why Im a repeat customer!

Brought my vehicle in for a second opinion on a suggested brake job. Midas technicians were courteous and found issues with the brakes the other shop missed. Which if they had not been found could have lead to a serious safety risk. Will bring my vehicles here again in the future. I reccomend bringing your vehicles here for service.

I went in for a brakes rotors and oil change my car was fine when I brung it in when I drove out of town that Saturday my car started smoking I brung it back in and now I have a coolant leak that all of a sudden appeared. Very disappointed at this location I’ve been going to Midas the last couple of years and this by far is my worse experience with them.

The staff at this location are wonderful. From the first interaction with getting my exhaust fixed to having to come back because my new brakes weren’t quiet right (although Midas did a wonderful job on the rear brakes the first time) they fixed a wrong that another company made a few months back (I will not be returning to the other guys). I’m grateful for this location as they have made this car fixing journey easier and keeping me safe on the road. So thank you Halsey team! You guys are great and I will be back for more auto care soon.

Jason and the team at this Midas went above and beyond to help me and every other customer I saw come in during my visit. They were extremely friendly, accommodating, helpful. Wow, I am shocked. Went for a brake job. These guys inspected them and everything was sill well within specification and just needed some cleaning and lube. $50 and I was on my way. Quick and fair. Plus as we were waiting another customer told us he had been coming there for years and had only positive things to say.

Honestly wish I could write a better review. Took my best friend to drop his jeep off for an oil change at 930. Well call in half an hour they told him. His jeep wasnt finish til 1230 and personally I think $80 for an oil change is BS to say the least. Go elsewhere, safe money save time.

Went in for a routine oil check, scheduled an appointment online two days ago, and I was in and out in under 30 minutes. They did a complimentary inspection and gave me a heads up about something that I may need to fix in a few months PLUS a price check so I can start to think about that now. Nice and fast service!

Went for an oil change and turned out there was more things needed to be done but they did not upsell me, they let me look at the issue up close and it was indeed an imperative problem that needed addressing. They let me choose what i wanted done with prices quoted for each one. I left with a safer vehicle and I am thankful for their services.

I go here for oil changes and have always had good luck. They do a good job, it doesnt take too long and the price is fair. I would consider using them for more involved repairs if needed.

I went to have my brakes checked by Midas today at the Halsey location. They showed me pictures of rotors that were scratched and cracked and said all four rotors and brake pads needed to be replaced. I didn’t think this could be possible as I’d just had my front rotors replaced at Les Schwab one year earlier. I left and went to Les Schwab to inquire about the warranty on my rotors and told them what Midas had said. At Les Schwab they took me out to the bay where all my tires were off and they showed me with a very bright light that NONE of the rotors had any cracks or significant damage and that the only thing I needed replaced was my front brake pads.

August 2016 I moved to Portland from Denver. On the trip my car developed a wobbly, noisy rumble. I brought it to Midas on NE Halsey and they replaced my front hub assemblies and tires. Jason was very helpful and patient as he clearly explained what was wrong and what they were doing to fix it. Even as a laymen, I felt like I understood what was happening and left a satisfied customer.Flash forward a year and a half, December 2017, I start getting the same wobble. I take it back here, tell them its only been 8,000 miles and less than 18 months since the hub assemblies were replaced. Jason confirms the information and replaces them for free. Even showed me the hubs afterward and how they had failed.Ill continue being a customer here because they took care of me once and then made it right afterwards. Shout out to the mechanics there and specifically Jason who embodied the spirit of the holiday season.

The manager here was excellent. He really tried to meet the clients needs within their budget. It was a busy day and one lady left. He was clearly upset that he wasnt able to get to her. She should have been more patient. It seemed like a good honest place. I came in for brakes. He showed me that I needed tires - breaks were ok. Made customer service call to someone. It sounded like he was going out of his way to help her. Id go back.

Rolled in for an oil change and radiator flush around 1300, took about 2 hours and $140. Jason the master tech was friendly, courteous, and honest as he also provided suggestions for DYI solutions to other issues my truck is dealing with.I am impressed. Despite the age and mileage of my vehicle the post-work evaluation form is not checkered with any superfluous/unnecessary suggestions for further work.If there is any reason that I dont give a full 5-star grade its that the lounge TV didnt work and there were no snacks. ;-)This is a good shop. I recommend it.

I took my car in another Midas for break service and it was smooth and everything went well. When asked to do an oil change they refused for some odd reason. Few days later I smell fumes coming from my vents and I went to this Midas location. Took the car in right away and they test drove it. Opened the hood and the oil cap was off. They cleaned everything off, got their paperwork from the other Midas and gave me a free oil change! Beyond happy with the customer service. Highly recommended.

Some of the work here can wind up being pretty pricey, i havent had much of a problem though. When in my old car I had something blocking my AC drain and water would seep into my floorboards, the manager understood i couldnt pay for a whole AC getting taken out so they sprayed air into it several times for free for me. Other than some of the prices this place has always treated me well!

I have been going to this shop exclusively for years and honestly, I cant say enough good things about them. These guys always, always make up for their mistakes, and they will give you honest advice about what can wait, what is more urgent, and what repairs actually need to be made. One great example of this; I once went to a radiator specialist thinking I could save money and was quoted a steep price for radiator replacement. Midas fixed it for free with a hose clamp. You can trust these guys!

I go here for all my auto maintenance. These guys are great. Roger and Jason always go out of their way to make sure were taken care of.

I brought my old car here, knowing there was probably a bit wrong with it since I have driven thousands of miles since the last check up. Roger was really honest over the phone and told me the estimated amount to fix the issues. He was even nice enough to call my mom in NY to explain to her the issues (since she would likely help me pay for the fixes). In the end, I decided that the repairs were not worth it for the old car, so I will figure out something else to do with it. Roger was very pleasant, he was not pushy and he was brainstorming ways for me to get the best deal before I decided I didnt want any work done on it. They didnt even charge for the check up. When I get a new vehicle, I will surely bring it to Midas. I am so thankful for their help, time and honesty.

Came in for an oil change. Gave me a good courtesy check with mechanic actually checking all areas on the sheet *many shops just say they checked it without any comments*. Was explained the areas found and given recommendations. Good waiting room *free wifi** Enjoyed this visit*

When I took my car into Jiffy Lube they told me that since my car has an odd oil filter that breaks frequently, they did not stock them and would not order any. Why they wouldnt realize that a frequently-breaking oil filter means more $$$ for them escapes me, but Roger at Midas on Halsey said it would be no problem and that theyd order enough that I could always bring it in for oil changes. I really love the vibe here! Sure its a big chain but Roger is really cute and sweet and never makes me feel dumb or pressured about car stuff!

Went the to get my truck look at for the tensioner belt an serpentine belt quoted me over 400 bucks 170 for the tensioner assembly witch I just got for 60 bucks an serpentine belt witch I also just got 40 bucks there marked for almost 90. Tried ripping me off. Thanks a lot Midas happy I didnt go through you to get it fixed. Deffenatly dont recommending anyone to got here for major work.

Roger was very unprofessional, and didn’t have no care that they did something to my car when my inspection specifically said I had no leak til I brung it back after I told them something was leaking and my car was smoking yes your right I didn’t want you to fix my leak that y’all did!

If I could give zero I would. Went in yesterday and this morning has a puddle of oil. Called and got cussed out and hung up on by Roger the manager. I went to Midas where all 68 of him is telling get off this property and threatening me and my wife. Never again Midas. Then we called corporate and they try to transfer me to the store manager for remediation. What a joke

Im not one for writing negative reviews but in this case it was earned. We are from Ohio, and had our vehicle towed to the Halsey St Midas after it broke down during a road trip in that area. We chose this Midas because we use a Midas shop back in Ohio and have always had excellent service. Unfortunately this shop did not measure up. The vehicle came in via tow truck after we lost a wheel on Rt. 5. The Midas shop replaced a wheel bearing and some damage done to the rotor and sent us on our way, giving us the confidence that the car was fixed with them even knowing that we had 10,000 more miles to go on our trip. They even filled out their safety inspection report marking just about everything green... Not even 72 hours later, the same wheel fell off the car again!! Thankfully the Halsey location wasnt our closest Midas location this time. We still had some confidence in the Midas brand because of the excellent service we receive in Ohio, so we had it towed to a different Midas shop. It was given a thorough look over this time. There was a broken control arm and several other issues. We had the broken parts of the control arm and it was clear that there was a pre-existing crack. They did the same safety inspection report that Midas Halsey street did, and amazingly found that there were actually several deficiencies. In fact, there wasnt much green about the vehicle... By knowing about the issues, we were able to fix them and finally get safely on our way- but only through a different Midas than this one.My frustration is not because Halsey Midas did poor work, its because they did incomplete work and gave us a green light on things that obviously werent checked. Because of this we literally endangered the lives of our family and children. It was a serious oversight on their part and one we wont take lightly.We did contact the manager, Roger, at Midas Halsey to try to resolve the issue. He only told us that he stood by his work and it all must have been a coincidence... Hmm, losing a wheel 72 hours after it was correctly and completely repaired. You be the judge.

Anna, the lady at the front desk is really kind, however her kindness isnt worth an extra $430 to me.I was quoted over $800 at Midas... I took my car down the road and had the work done for $370... yeah let that sink in a minute... Price gouging.. Rip off... Crooked... those are, some things that came to mind.

$1,200 to be told that my car would be fixed and be able to pass emissions on my GM Saturn Car.Drove to Portland DEQ - Failed yet again.$1,200 later, Told that Jason or They dont have the GM License to be able to actually get it passed emissions.Sure. And Pigs Fly.Just waiting for them to reply with some bull**** excuse after this review. Like tossing money down the Toilet?If so - Then Please mam or Sir, disregard this review!

Terrible place dont take your car here. We were quoted $150-250 for full brake service and $300 for full ti rod service. After driving 40 mins total to them to drop the car off on our Saturday, they called us hours later to say it was actually going to cost over $900. I called them and explained the issue, that we went out of our way for a good deal and were already promised way under that amount. I was met with utter contempt, disrespect and indifference. They dont care about you. All they care about is them.

Went in for tune and oil change. drained my oil didnt put new one in. went to coast came back had different shop say i had barely any oil in it. had midas put oil in. never recommend.

Ive always taken my car to Midas. Ive had lifetime warrantied brakes through Midas for almost 10 years now. Theyve always taken good care of my car. I wouldnt go anywhere else.

Experienced & friendly employees got my car in quickly, the problem located and fixed in a relatively short time frame. We have been taking our vehicles here for almost 10 years.

I went to midas on Ne Halsey, not only did they try to over charge me, for work not needed. I was called out my name in a racial way, plus threaten to slap me if I didnt leave the store. When I called the cops, they took the inside of my car apart push it across the street to me and the cops. Roger is the manager very. Very nasty man. Plus ladies please take your man with you so they wont make up charge. They say my car would cost me $1636.00 to get just noise from coolant system. I went to AAMCO, I pay $250.0. I called the corporate office and made complaint. I was so angry, scared and felt so disrespected.

Initial experience was great to good in dealing with brakes and oil changes for both my vehicles. Based on previous experiences I went there multiple times to have a minor issue resolved that they couldnt correctly fix. In regards to this service, which was not correctly repaired, when asking for a solution Roger basically said the only way was to return the car to be inspected again. At this point, Im not interested in wasting more of my time after the initial couple of times they werent competent enough to fix a simple leaky washer fluid bottle. I should be given a refund for the services that have caused us more stress than expected. ***** The owner reached out and we came to a resolution (A free oil change) based on my issue. I appreciate the attempt to make good and hopefully have a chance to have a better experience next time.

Straight up, zero BS, great mechanics

I have been going here since I got my first car in Oregon in February, It was a rusted out 2002 buick. Roger and Jason have been totally great to me and my family!

Made an appointment to have my battery and the cables replaced for $165. Got in fine and work was done close ot the estimate, cant complain there. Drove it to work that night and car kept dying. Wracked my brain for a bit trying to figure out what it was till I looked at the bill.They only replaced the connectors and not the cables, which where the primary problom. In other words, they only did the part of the job I could have easily done at home myself. When I priced the cables themselves, they cost 125 bucks alone.This places price gouges bad.

Ive been going to this Midas for years. Roger is always pleasant and helpful, and Jason goes above and beyond, every time I have a concern.

Their customer service isnt good at all. Got my brakes and rotors inspected but ended up only needing rear brake pads. Would have done it myself but didnt have time. Wish I would have, the brake pads they use really arent as great of quality as they make them out to be. They must not own a torque wrench or just decide not to use it? A couple weeks after they did my brakes, I went to take my coilovers off and couldnt even get the lug nuts off, tried a battery impact and they didnt come off, so I got my air impact, still didnt come off. Tourqing lugs to manufacture specs are brake job 101. Guess anyone can get ASE certified nowadays. Wont be returning again.
