A very friendly, customer oriented place.They did aDEQ check for me very quickly at no kick up from just going to a DVM sponsored test facility.I would take my car there for service based on what I experienced but mine is a Toyota and they only service most German cars. So I recommended trying them if you have German Iron. That said this is only based on their attitude since I did not actual have any repairs done.

I cant speak to any repair work, but if you need emissions testing for the DMV, I recommend stopping here. They were fast, courteous, and didnt even charge me (other places may charge a fee). I will definitely be back.

Feel very fortunate to have tried these guys out. I was apprehensive going into it as I had been using the same shop for quite a while but had moved away from that area of town(also, I am a little obsessive about my car). I stopped by for DEQ Too test and it was extremely quick and easy... as in the whole thing took less than 5 minutes. From the time I left the house until I got back home was less than 15 minutes. If it were possible to rate higher than 5 stars, the service deserves it.

Very nice shop located in beautiful southwest portland. That office manager was very nice when I went in to get my DEQtoo check done. I felt very comfortable giving her the keys and was in and out within 10minutes. She even had a prepared step by step incstruction handout on the next steps. Would definitely go back here if I had to do it again.

While they were very quick and friendly, I chose to come here based on the reviews saying their DEQ testing was free. It was not. It was $10. So yes, no lines, but seeing as I chose this place because money is very tight right now, I was disappointed. AFTER I had already paid, I was given piece of paper that explained their DEQToo service and that it (and the $10 fee) was completely separate from the DMV renewal and not required. But it doesnt say that on Marques website. Wish Id known that BEFORE coming in! I would have rather waited and saved my money, especially considering I work just a few blocks from a DEQ facility!

I went here for DEQ too! services only because they were close. Boy was I happy with the service. I didnt need an appointment. It seemed a little busy when I walked in but I was greeted immediately and then they took care of everything for me. I barely had time to open my email on my phone! They walked me through what I have to do from here to get my stickers. All in all an incredible service and so much better than driving across town to sit ina long line.

These folks are great! Found them on the DMVs website as a place to go in lieu of the DEQ. Searched other locations but this one only charged $10 for DEQ testing whereas the others were charging 20-40. I showed up and was greeted by an apprehensive looking but ultimately attentive shop dog that kept me busy during the ensuing 90 second wait. A friendly gentleman noticed the paperwork in my hand and intuited the reason for my visit. He asked for my keys and we went to the car. I thanked him for being cheaper than the competition by $10 and he looked at me inquisitively. I told him the website said he charged $10 and he waived this off, saying he didnt charge anything. What a pleasant surprise. If I ever win the lottery and buy an Audi, Ill take it here to get serviced for sure ;-)

Went to the shop for a DEQ certification. They were fast, friendly, and did the test for no charge. Said they do it for free as a service for their customers, even though I have a Subaru and they dont service Subarus. Almost makes we want to go buy and Audi or Porsche so I can be a customer here.

Easiest DEQ experience I’ve ever had! Customer service was great and I was in and out lightning-fast. The only member of the front office staff who was a bit on the slow side was the very short, furry guy named “Niko”. I was told he had just eaten a bowl of kibble for lunch and was ready for a nap under a chair. Seemed like a bit of a prima donna to me. (lol)

I made an appointment to have my 911 looked at by Kurt on Jan 13th, 2014. My car is a Targa and I didnt bring the folding top with me as I thought the car would only be there a day or two, max. When I told Kurt I didnt have the top he acted like it was a big deal because space in his shop is limited. That is why I made an APPOINTMENT! Ive had this car rebuilt from the ground up, where Kurt did a lot of the work including engine rebuild and suspension upgrades. Over the past 10 years since Ive had this car, I have spent over $20,000 with Marque Motors. After spending that much with Kurt, I thought the least he could do was maybe move my car inside if it started raining, as he had done in the past. Kurt Leipzig just seems to be an unhappy, unpleasant personality with mediocre customer service skills, at best. Im surprised Marque Motors continues to be in business. Kurt, maybe you ought to think about retirement, get out there and enjoy yourself, have some fun. You need it buddy.. There are plenty of good Porsche service mechanics in the Portland area. Go to any of the others before going to Marque Motors.

I was recommended Marque Motors for a pre-purchase inspection on a Porsche Boxster in Portland. I dont live in the area and hadnt actually seen the car myself, so the inspection was really important to me.Kurt was great and gave me all the information I needed to make an informed purchase, taking time to explain the report details over the phone and answering any questions I had. The inspection also cost me less than I was originally quoted which was nice!If I was anywhere near the area, Id definitely be going back to Marque Motors for any work my car might need in the future.

Horrible experience. They like doing what they want to your car without asking your permission! I made an appointment and told them i needed them to diagnose my coolant leak, find out why only half the vents were blowing cold air(A/C), and find out why my tail lights kept cutting off while driving. The man on the phone told me no problem. I arranged a ride and left the car with them. I told the woman when I dropped the car off, I am planning on fixing this myself, i just want you guys to diagnose it. She says ya thats fine. The next day a new guy (Kurt) calls me and says its $560. They installed a new part to fix the coolant leak. I told them i didnt want that. I only wanted to know where it was coming from, (diagnosis) he very frustratedly tells me he can put the old part back on. I said yeah please put it back. He is sighing and being very pissy during the whole phone call. I then ask about my A/C issue. He said he didnt know I wanted that done and he will call me back once his tech is off lunch. He calls back and says You can come get your car Im done with it. If I cant proceed without asking you about every little thing its not worth my time. I wont work on your car anymore. SO! HE DID WHAT HE WANTED TO MY CAR AND IGNORED WHAT I ASKED FOR, PROBABLY TO MAKE MORE MONEY, THEN GOT SHITTY WITH ME FOR FIGHTING IT.TL;DR kurt was suppose to find the leak, find out whats wrong with my taillights and air conditioning but he decided to just install new parts instead. He than got shitty with me for not wanting.

So I buy a 928 in San Francisco and drive all the way to Portland before it breaks down. I have it towed to Marque after getting a recommendation from a PCA member. Despite never meeting me...Marque took it in like it was family, fixed the multiple problems and sent me on my way. I made it to Redmond and it broke down again. (It is, after all, a 928.) Though it is unknown what caused one of the fixes to not take and it is not clear in any way that it was any fault of Marque (!)...they paid (in full!) for the subsequent repair at a Bend Porsche specialist without my asking. I will forever be indebted to Marque and hope to again do business with them. They have my highest esteem!

I got a call from Kurt part of the way into the inspection asking if I wanted to continue, he explained the codes that came up on the black box inquiry of the car were less than stellar. We cut the inspection short, saving me some money by not continuing the inspection. A heads up courtesy to me. Thank you very much! I passed on this car and kept looking.I purchased a 997.2 this year and wanting to start fresh, I had a major service to include water pump, belts, brake flush etc. I had a few questions about my car so he brought me into the shop while the car was on the lift and James (the tech working on my car) gave me a good tour of the vehicle.I have always been treated very well at Marque Motors. I always have a clear understanding of what I want and what the car requires when I have maintenance work done here. They have always worked with me on schedules for drop offs and pickups as I work out of town and cannot always get to the shop the same day the work is scheduled. Very accommodating. My car is always waiting my return, pointed towards the road, not buried deep in the lot. Hey, its the small details! Free DEQ emissions test- literately six minutes in and out the door. Exactly what you want to see!

I have a German car and so do a number of my colleagues, friends,and family.I drive by Marque every day and knew a few people who used to go to Marque so I thought I would try them.The first and last time I let Marque service my car, Marque installed the wrong part and they felt that they had done their job for just under $500 ($160 for the part). Some time after, I took my car to another shop in town and they fixed it in half the time which cost me over $600 for the job Marque should have done in the first place. Kurt, the main contact at Marques explanation was that the other shop got lucky and just deal with it. Moral of the story:Marque didnt know what they were doing with this problem. Kurt, wanted to bring in another car that was the same model to service to work on both of them and maybe this would help them figure out the problem. The question is, who is the professional here? You have to keep these guys honest. In this case, Kurt only reimbursed the incorrect part. You decide if you want to go.
