Ive tried a few detail places here in Portland and by far Freeman does the best job. The pricing is on par for most places doing detail work. I was able to get the inside leather conditioned and outside washed, waxed and clay finished. @Tosha T took great care of both of my vehicles, scheduling and turning them around in a half day each.Freeman specializing in high end used cars and they can make your car look like new. The work performed on my cars was outstanding. There were no swirl marks on the paint, the attention to details in the crevices were impeccable.Freeman owned a new customer today.

Freeman Motor Co Service center and auto spa is second to NONE. They are incredibly knowledgeable, trustworthy, communicative and professional on all levels. I recently had some damage to both the front end and back end of my BMW; they worked with my insurance company, helped arrange a car for a ride, and most importantly made my car look brand new.Please take my advice and give them the opportunity to, at least, detail your car inside and out...you will be amazed. Fantastic customer service. Very clean area. I came for an oil change and it was my first time. I felt welcomed when I called in and when I showed up, they were very friendly. They cleaned my car as well. If needed, they can also drive you to your destination when you drop off your car.Call for a quote on your car. As of this writing, I paid $130 for an oil change. Car wash was included, as well as a ride to your destination if needed. They take care of you and your car.

Most recently, their staff repaired a significant issue with my vehicle’s turbo system. Client Representative Maija spent considerable time advocating for me with my warranty company, arranging for transportation, obtaining parts, and explaining the repair process. I bring my 2001 Mercedes E320 wagon here for any kind of repairs because of the work quality, as well as the great customer service they provide, even though this place is much further from where I live than some others. Highly recommend Freeman, especially for European cars, old or new!!!

I needed the oil change and general maintenance for the my Range Rover. I was truly impressed with the service I received - it is just so rare nowadays to get good service. Maija explained me all the details about what repairs my car needs - and in the way that it was easy to understand for me and I didnt feel any pressure . I needed to leave the car in the shop for a couple of days and they called Lyft (no extra charges) to get me home. Excellent service ! I am glad it still exists .

This is my favorite detail shop in Portland. The quality of work cannot be beat and the staff is amazing and helpful. My car is over 7+ years old, but since I started getting monthly details with Freeman - multiple people have asked if my car is brand new. The work they do is Phenomenal and always ahead of schedule. I am always asked if my car is brand new, when it is actually over 7 years old; this is because of the amazing detail work they do. 10/10 I highly recommend.

Took in for diagnosis of a problem that seemed like a clutch on my manual transmission Audi. They confirmed that it was. When another shop found the root of the problem, which was unrelated to the clutch, Freeman offered to refund my diagnosis fee. While I still had to pay for the towing, I appreciated their offer to take responsibility for the missed diagnosis
Made an appointment with Tosha for an ultimate detail service. Super professional, offered my wife and I a shuttle service back to our home while the car was being detailed, then picked us up when the car was complete. The work was timely and very high quality. Service beyond compare. I look forward to having Freeman take care of all my car detailing needs from now on.

Fast reply, i was interested in a vehicle e-mail Brad about the availability he e-mailed me back within 30 minutes and called. I told him i would get back with him the next day and next day comes the vehicle is sold.......If the vehicle was sold in a matter of 12 hours thats my luck. BUT if the dealer is posting fake vehicle with fake pricing, they could be phishing you to come in to see other cars... disappointed

The unexpected happened during service (an additional part broke) and Freeman quickly communicated the issue and offered options on how to resolve it with least inconvenience to me. I didnt have anything complicated - just a complete inside/outside detail on my Jeep Grand Cherokee. I dont think it looked that clean when it was sitting on the showroom floor. Freeman did just a wonderful job. I live in the neighborhood, and was offered a ride home when I dropped the vehicle off, and could have been picked up but it was a lovely day and I chose to get some exercise and walk - but it was good of them to ask. Ill be back at Freeman again.
Autospa did a wonderful job on my LR3, it is literally cleaner than it has ever been. Everyone at Freeman is friendly and professional, and I don’t think you can find a better value in Portland. Highly recommend.

LITERALLY the easiest car buying experience ever! I came in pre-approved with a lender letter, already knew what vehicle I wanted, Michael and Michelle, and Theresa were quick, friendly, and EXPERT at what they do. Michael was low-key, Theresa had snacks on hand for my hungry kiddo, and Michelle was able to BEAT my pre-approval rate and get me a top-notch service contract. They helped us put on our new license plate. Although they specialize at European cars, they service on all brands, including our Toyota. Their service personnel are super friendly and patient. The two very nice gentlemen that helped us, Dakota and Peter, were super helpful, and did the job to its perfect!!! Really couldnt ask for more. I will surely come back if any other services is needed for our car in the future.
I was greeted as I walked in with a smile and asked what they could do tohelp. In a short time they had diagnosed what was wrong with myvehicle and I was given an estimate for the cost of repairs. From the time Ileft my car until I picked it up I was kept informed. They did exactlywhat was needed and fixed my car. I needed some quick help and stopped by Freeman Motor Service on a Saturday when nobody else in the area was open. There was a bit of a wait when I walked in(didnt call first) but I was greeted promptly and told someone would be with me shortly. The lobby was very clean and has a good amount of amenities for anyone that might be waiting on their car. Within 5 minutes Rachel came over and introduced herself and offered assistance. She listened to my concerns and made me feel like my potential business was valued. On this visit they just helped me with a simple fluid top off and offered some advise on what I could do to help maintain my car mechanically. Took my Mercedes to Freeman Auto Spa and have some minor body work done. Sean was great to work with and was honest about what could and couldnt be done. Sean was very polite and fun to deal with. Did a great job on the car. Will be going back and will most likely purchase my next vehicle from Freeman Motors.
Recent diagnosis of my check engine light and scheduling of the repairs was handled timely and with good progress reports on time & reason for delays. Provided a rental car at their expense when repairs went longer than expected. Final cost was right on the estimate. All my Mercedes repairs and regular maintenance have been handled here since I bought the car four years ago.
Took my car in for a simple wash and wax. From start to finish, was treated like I was spending thousands there! From the friendly phone call and appointment setup, to the staff who greeted me when I arrived - everything was perfectly smooth. Very professional and timely service. I went in to have to have my cars body damage assessed and find out how bad the damage was. First of the waiting area and facility was so nice, clean and modern. The person that helped me her name was Brianna and I was really impressed with her help not only was she informative of the damage, parts, labor but she broke down the cost of everything. She was strait to the point no BS & that’s something I appreciate. From the shuttle to and from my house and the speed of the repair the friendly and honest staff if I ever need auto services again no question it will be here!
Ive had 2 separate services here for my Jeep (oil/differential change, new spark plugs and front drive shaft u joint replacements). The pricing is good, less than dealerships and the service department was good about keeping me updated, even when they were sent the wrong part. I am happy to find a good service shop in the neighborhood and will be back. Kudos to Dan and Brianna in the service department.
This operation is totally professional. Took my 20 yr old Mercedes in at 8AM as scheduled; repairs were completed at 10AM giving me the rest of the day with a working vehicle. Waiting area is comfortable with coffee and snacks.

Paid $130 for a bumper to bumper pre-purchase inspection. Was given a sheet of the issues, and a surreal amount of attitude from Brianna, when I told her I didn’t want to pay for the items to be fixed with freeman. I just wanted the diagnosis done. On top of that, their garage door malfunctioned, trapping my car inside for most of a business day, interfering with work, while I anticipated a 2 hour diagnosis.A week after my inspection, I started noticing things that weren’t described as issues on the report given by freeman. I called 3 times. First time, I was placed on hold, and hung up on. Second time, I was told Brianna was with a client and asked to be placed on hold for a few minutes. So I waited. For 23 minutes. The third time, I was told Brianna had gone outside with a client, and would be back inside in 5-10 minutes and would call me back. That was at 4pm. When they closed at six, and I hadn’t heard back, I figured that was the end of it.Next day, I get a call from Brianna. She asked how she could help me. I explained that my window was making some severe noises, and not functioning properly. I asked if they check electric windows, and electrical systems during inspections. She said they did. Offered no explanation as to why this wasn’t addressed in the report, no offer to have it looked at again, under the original inspection that I had just had the week prior. So I would have to pay AGAIN to have it looked at when I had paid them originally to do a FULL BUMPER TO BUMPER INSPECTION.Asked me that was all she could help me with. Having not helped me in the first place, or offering a solution that I wouldn’t have to pay for something clearly looked over the first time - I’ll have to say this is the LAST time I ever go to Freeman. I was referred to them by where I purchased my car, and am disgusted by the lack of customer service, respect, and desire to retain customers.Save your time and money, go elsewhere.

Professional, Thorough, Honest, Friendly + AccommodatingOn October 21st I was on my way to pick up my son from his appointment near Macdam when my car screen came on with a bright red STOP CAR! CHECK COOLANT! I immediately pulled over, stopped the car and turned it off. I googled closest auto service and Freeman Motor Service came up. I decided to take a chance and pick up my son from his appointment first and then drove straight to Freeman Motor Service.I was worried about being late for work and having my son with me while dealing with a stressful situation but immediately upon entering the lobby we were greeted with a calm and friendly smile. I explained the problem and within minutes a service mechanic was checking my car for the problem - even though they seemed very busy. While we waited for my husband to come and pick us up we were made to feel very welcome and comfortable. I have a special-needs toddler and the staff was so wonderful (they even heated up his lunch!). We were in a lovely, clean room and there was even a little play area for children.Once they got the diagnostics they gave us the quote and said the car would be ready by the end of the day.Overall my experience was as positive as I could possibly imagine. From the moment the warning light came on until I was back in my office I think only 90 minutes passed. If I could give 6 stars I would - when I picked up my car it was sparkling clean (which was not the condition I had brought it in!). I highly recommend Freeman Motor Service & AutoSpa if you want straight forward communication and prompt reliable service from people you can trust.

She took the time to throughly explain what I should expect for the repairs on my BMW 530i, gave me an accurate timeline and even called when it was taking a little longer than expected. They made some great recommendations without being pushy and let me know how I could save on some labor cost by doing some maintenance work at the same time I was getting parts replaced. I wasnt sure that my modest little car would be welcomed among the high end Mercedes and BMWs and whatnot, but actually the service has been top-notch and the prices very reasonable. This was my neighborhood car repair place before Freeman took it over and I am glad to see it continue. In addition to the friendly, prompt, and knowledgeable service on my car, they offer shuttle service, a really pleasant waiting environment, and a carwash with every service. This place is an asset to the neighborhood and worth visiting for your car maintenance and repair needs

I have brought my Mercedes CLK350 for a repair since my engine would not turn on. They have suggested repairs for $2,496 that I have acknowledged to do. At the end of the repair, they told me that they had not fixed the problem and that the computer of the car had to be changed for an additional $1,100 and when I have complained about the whole situation, their reply was basically. Thats how it works. Bottom line they have charged $2,496 and I still have the exact same problem I had before their service. This goes together with other issues that I had when they had served my car in the past. NEVER AGAIN
I purchased my vehicle from Freeman Motors and had planned to use their Service Shop for all maintenance for my car, even purchasing an extended warranty for this purpose. However, dealing with them is so frustrating I have given up and will be finding another servicer. First, their communication does not include realistic timeframes. I have experienced this both with body work resulting from an accident and with routine work that should only take less than 1 hour. For example, I had an appointment today for an oil change. I show up on time and am told it will be at least an hour before they bring my car back and at least one more hour before it is done. Two hours for an oil change that I had an appointment for? (I left and had it done at another shop as a walk in within 30 minutes.) Also, for a shop with such long waits, they dont offer any loaner cars, which would make the logistics much simpler.I had body and engine work done after an accident late last year, which included replacing the radiator. It went weeks over the initial time estimate. Since then I have been back 4 times because the car is still leaking coolant, each time with long waits, unexpected delays that are never communicated sufficiently. There is no accountability for this, apologies, or otherwise. They treat customers like they are doing us a favor and then stand there an blink like what we want is so unexpected.I will be cancelling my warranty, and removing their name from my car and my memory. What a shame and disappointment.
Came for a clearbra installation after buying a car from FMC and Sean was great to talk to, took good care of me. I am looking forward to bringing my car for service as I am confident my experience would be great!
Scheduled for a simple tune up and talked with Sean, to which he repeatedly attempted to upsell me with other various services I didn’t need or want. Came back to pick up my car.. was told it was being cleaned up and “would be right out”. 2 HOURS LATER (while they were closing).... After MANY other people came and left with their vehicles... and I finished a nap... finally. it was finished.The next day I turned my AC on and it sounded like a jet engine was taking off in my Range Rover. I called Sean, scheduled yet ANOTHER appointment at 8:15am to have it looked at. I was going to be charged $125 just to have them run diagnostics on what was wrong, when I didn’t cause the problem to begin with. It didn’t make the noise until after they worked on it!!! Left my car anyway and came back 4 hours later to find that NO ONE had even taken my car back to look at it. Why even have people schedule appointments??Poor service. Way too overpriced. Don’t waste your time.Long story short, took it to the dealership and they found a screw in the blower motor. They didn’t charge me. Brandon at Land Rover Portland was very helpful
The Service Center staff are very friendly and provided me with a pre-purchase inspection of a Land Rover (which I ended up buying). They gave me a thorough inspection report along with a quote for any and all service needed at that point or in the future. Highly recommended and easy process.

Very nice waiting area that I almost felt like I was chilling in a coffee shop. Freeman patched my 2 leaks on the tires in very reasonable time and charged nothing for it to my surprise! Even offered to wash the car but I felt bad having it fixed for free already...nice to have so close to home!

I just got an interior detail from Freeman AutoSpa. My Jetta was in pretty rough shape and they made it glow! Carpets were spotless, upholstery was thoroughly cleaned and all the nooks and crannies were de-gunked. Brianna was super friendly and easy to work with. I drove off the lot feeling great. I had the worst experience at this place! If you are interested in getting ripped off and treated poorly then I would suggest you get your car repaired at Freeman Motors. One of two things is happening at this place: One- they are interested in lying to you so you will spend as much money as possible to repair your car; or Two- their mechanics do not know what they are doing.Here is my story:Two months ago I took my car in because I was having issues with my car not starting properly (it was making a weird sound when I would start it and would stall out when I was in lower gears), they explained I need a new fuel pump to resolve the issue (cost $900), foolishly I agreed to the cost and repairs. Last week the same issue returned and I took my car back to Freeman, they then explained that it was different issues and spark plugs, valves, and gaskets all needed to be replaced (cost $700), again stupidly I agreed with the cost and repairs. Once the car was returned to me the issue was still present and WORSE, the car broke down on the side of the road, so I returned it back to Freeman FOR A THIRD TIME. They explained to me that I was having a new issues with my clutch and it would be an additional $3000. My question to Freeman is why didn’t you tell me that 2 months ago, why didn’t you tell me that last week? After arguing with the service guys Jesse, I decided to take my car somewhere else.I would highly suggest that you do not take your car here unless you are interested in getting ripped off!!

Its been several months, but I have meant to write a review for Freeman for some time. My review, however, is not for the purchase of a car, but rather the sale of my Jaguar to Freeman. I owned a very nice 2004 Jaguar XJR that I had to part ways with. I did some research of high end dealerships in the PDX area, and came up with 2. Freeman paid me close to $1,000 more than the other guy. The experience was direct and on point, with little to no hassle. I spoke directly to Eric and he agreed to buy my car for what I considered to be a very fair price. I later saw my car listed for sale and was pleasantly suprised to see that the list price was not significantly higher than what I sold the car for. I will return to Freeman the next time Im ready to get back into a luxury car.

I was extremely disappointed with my service experience at Freeman, particular in contrast to how excellent my car buying experience has been with the company. I took my Mercedes SL purchased at Freeman in to check a front suspension noise and brake light failure and Freeman Service:- Claimed they could not hear/find the suspension issue which the very next shop I took it to immediately identified and fixed.- Returned the car to me with the brake/tail light assembly laying in the trunk (a safety issues) I did not discover until after getting home.- Retuned the car with 2 significant door dings that were not present when handed over to them.- Retuned the car filthy both inside and out when it was handed to them clean.While I continue to actively recommend Freeman to friends looking to buys cars, I cannot recommend their service center.
