Bought a catalytic converter 9 months ago and just now finding out its faulty when trying to pass E-check. Its the reason my check engine light is on. The check engine light never went off. Even after it was fixed. They even tried to delete the code to see if that was the problem. Sure wasnt. Just a bad catalytic converter. Thanks a lot rock auto, thanks a lot for nothing. Now I have to pay twice as much for the same problem. And during covid when lord knows things are hard enough. Im disabled and live off a very tight budget. It was hard enough paying the first time let alone now. Shame on you guys. And not even in the return window cuz we didnt know thats why the engine light was on. Another time where good people get ripped off. Wow....thanks

I have PHYSICAL proof on VIDEO of the delivery driver not dropping off the package they claimed they “sent”Even the FedEx postage fact sheet states that the box was wayyyy to light to have product when Rock auto never even supplied the package to FedEx, I have tried to get into contact with Rock auto to figure everything out and “Jen” from “customer service” told me they can’t do anything even though I payed for product and have proof, they have since ghosted me and will no longer respond to emails to figure this out, they did not send, product and basically scammed me.I wouldn’t waste the time or headache with this company, it’s a nightmare getting into contact with anyone as it’s all online and they can easily ghost you… it’s very sad I have to go to these lengths of writing a review in hopes to finally get a response…

It has been nothing less than a NIGHTMARE with this company…Never sent product I payed for,Tried to get into contact with “customer service” they have ghosted me after sending them physical proof that package never arrived and that it wasn’t possible for the package to be sent anyways as it’s way to light to have all the parts I ordered. I also have video Evidence of part not being delivered and Rick auto has ghosted me and will no longer reply. Save your time and headache with this company.

It’s a great service when it works, but two things to keep in mind:1. when your shipment gets lost they ask you to wait a month before they even look into it... if your car repair can’t wait that long then you end up back at your local parts store.2. When a part breaks under warranty, depending on the part you might have to pay for the return shipping to get a replacement, which can cost more than the part itself, and again you end up at your local parts store.I’ve had many good orders from RockAuto, but I can say after a few bumps in the road that I haven’t saved any money shopping here. Now I still sometimes order maintenance parts (oil filter, engine or cabin air filter, etc.) when I can well ahead of time... anything that’s for an immediate repair, back to the local parts store

This company is pretty terrible... I got three bad parts in a row. And they tried charging me for shipping the items back. Thete is no way to talk to a person. And the email help is pretty useless, it takes them forever to get back to you, and all they do is accuse you, and will suddenly close the case and if you try emailing them again you get an automated message saying the case is closed.... and thats it.... this company needs to be shut down....

If I could rate this 0 I would. I ordered a pulley over a month ago and it hasnt shown up. Every time I go to report a problem it they tell me to be patient. Theyre now telling me it wont be until the end of February. Cant get my money back this place blows

Sent me a belt that wasnt the right one for my truck, wont let me return it because I put it over the pulleys loosely(it was way too large). They have no real customer support and just direct you to their FAQ regarding any questions you have. Would not recommend using this site to order auto parts.

Ordered rims 2 years ago and now theyre defective with the urethane peeling off the face of the rim, contacted RockAuto and they said they dont want to do business with me anymore, got all my documents that shows they have a lifetime warranty, in fact they even sent me an email stating that my rims had a lifetime warranty on them and I should go through the manufacturer who made them. Claiming they dont deal with that manufacturer / reconditioner but yet they sell the same rims on their site only from a different company there are many companies that make this reconditioned rim if you have a lifetime warranty by law it has to be honored so onward and upward with the New York State attorney generals office the Federal trade commission the better Business bureau consumer frauds and of course small claims court and will be blasting them all over social media, when Im legally right I fight, I dont want them right I always win. And when Im done with them I will post all my winnings with all the agencies and documented on every social media I have with more than 800,000 followers. Tried to screw the wrong guy

Ordered a Power Window Switch through Rock Auto. Ive never used them, but heard through a friend that they had decent prices. Well, I order the switch on 2/23 and it shipped on 2/24, with a 2 day guarantee I purchased through Fed-Ex. Well its now 2/26, and the item is not arriving as promised. Fed Ex apparently had some form of a delay, which I understand, but when I asked Rock Auto to credit my account for the shipment not arriving on time, they said they would not. My problem is I paid $16 for 2 day shipping, and instead I have no idea when the product is coming. I could of paid only $3.25 for ground shipping and the product would have been here around March 1. My point, Rock Auto should have credited my account, and they should have dealt with Fed Ex themselves. Everyone knows, because this is there shipper of choice, they would have credited them if asked. Good, luck Rock Auto, as you now lost another customer, and I will continue to bash your poor customer service to anyone who will listen.

Rockauto listed the wrong part windshield wipers for my car, I bought the wipers and they do not fit. When contacted, Rockauto told me I should have looked at the pictures before purchasing and not rely on its parts inventory selection. Refused to take the item back unless I paid for postage. After that contact, Rockauto refused to continue speaking with me and just ignored my follow up email. This is the kind of customer service that you can expect.Update: Rockauto has reached out to me after I posted a complaint on their Facebook and they have rectified the situation.

Ordered an oil pan a while back. The site said that it fits a 2018 Yaris ia. It is not even close to being the proper part. I double checked to make absolutely sure I odered the right part. The pan fits older Toyota Yaris models made by Toyota, not the 2018 ia made by Mazda! They sent the wrong part with the wrong information on their webisite, and then chargred me to ship it back. Even after I explained the situation to them. I will not use them again! I would rather deal with an honest company and spend more money if necessary!

Update: after having many issues with my order, customer service finally got back to me and issued me a refund past the normal time frame. No issues with the refund- quick and accurate. Would consider buying from here again, but only if I was certain it’s the correct part.Infuriating customer service. No phone number to call. Return process is tedious and confusing. Had a question on a second order and they refused to answer it, stating I needed to reach out to customer service AGAIN with that order number to get a response.

We Are doing some work on our vehicle we called rock auto to enquire about a special parts, we ordered the parts but about 10 minutes later after we checked with our mechanic, we called back to Variefied that it was the correct part that they were shipping to us, one of their representatives told us that they did not have that part in stock we immediately canceled the order, we were told that the order was cancelled and that the money would go back to my credit card and that it had not been shipped, It has been 4 months the money was not returned to our account or we receive receive any parts we had to get our parts from our mechanic.Be careful of these criminals.

If I was able to give 0 stars, I would !The website labeled a part as compatible with my car but it was not. The return process was horrible and when I reached out via their service email, an employee gave me instructions to follow. I did as so which resulted in me not having the parts nor my money back. When I reached four as in in that regard, another employee responded saying pretty much “oh well”. Completely unsatisfied and will never use this site again. I suggest going through other ways rather than this site.

Used to love rockauto and ordered all the time. Have big collection of there magnets. But last time I ordered will be my last !! I was never so frustrated with the return process... this is absolutely ridiculous!! I received somebody else order!! Had to answer million questions. I was expecting to receive two parts but received only one and it was not even my order... I request a replacement and theyre expecting me to return two, TWO items and I just simply dont have it... because only one part was received. So I send back one! Whats now?...

The best prices you will find anywhere on the web. Just remember know what youre buying for youre vehicle because return are a pain and take time. Never had any problems with these parts cause I know what Im ordering. Stores sell these parts 3 times the price. Rockauto you not paying anything. Ordered 4 headlights from them. Their “guaranteed fit” parts for my VIN didn’t fit the receptacle, and wouldn’t have fit without cutting or filing a ridge off the bulb receptacle. They claimed this was MY mistake, and I’d have to ship the lights back at my expense. When I shipped all four back, they credited me for 1 bulb out of the four. When I asked where the rest of my money was, their response was essentially “this return has already been processed and we can’t help you any more.”I’m out 50 bucks and had an enraging customer experience, and still need to buy new headlights. Avoid Rock Auto if you can.

REALLY BAD EXPERIENCE! If I could give these people a negative score I would. They are horrible. I bought some parts and the parts didn’t fit my car so I asked for an exchange and when I did the exchange they sent me the incorrect part again. I asked for a refund and they said they would give me store credit. I declined the store credit and told them I just want a refund. Never heard back from them about my refund and now I’m stuck with a part that I’ve got no use for and they kept my money. DO NOT BUY FROM ROCKAUTO!

I buy all my automotive needs a Roc auto. For basic car maintenance. You can find the same item here as any other automotive store except its probably 35 to 40% cheaper. You have to wait a couple days and pay for shipping but if you know in advance what you need is actually no reason to go to an AutoZone or pep boys and pay such a large markup

Worst experience ever. Paid for part and checked out. Shipping option said would arrive by 10/13. 10/13 comes and customer service tells me I need to wait a full week “that part has shipped”, even though FedEx repeatedly confirms they never received. I am now awaiting a refund after wasting two weeks. So annoying. Zero ability to call anyone and emails just come back with same canned response saying how the tracking info is wrong on the FedEx side. Never again.

So I order a car part from RockAuto.com $135 with tax and shipping. Part never arrives. Contact rock auto. Fedex didn’t deliver due to “covid19 restrictions in my area.” Fedex sent part back to rock auto. {side note: I’ve gotten a few deliveries from fedex this past week from other shippers}. Rock auto refunded me only $120. They charged me the shipping to me and the shipping back. The part never even made it to my house; had to order the part from someone else and I get screwed out of a full refund? Customer service didn’t care when I asked for my full refund. Hope the $15 was worth losing a customer and a bad review!

B. add another ships from C. but if you were to delete one of the first two. magically the one at C is available at A.why dont you just be honest and ship them from one location if its always been available at the one location?

Avoid this business by any means. They sent me a fuel filter which was not in new condition. Had residue and smell on it. They want me to pay return shipping and refused to respond to emails after asking them for a prepaid label.
