My front tires were wearing out so I went to Port Chester Mavis to see if I needed a wheel alignment. Cecil told me the problem was actually my lower control arms were worn and needed to be replaced. Then I also needed a wheel alignment. He was able to get the parts quickly and got me back on the right back on the road. Cecil treats the customer with respect and he shows you the worn parts so you feel like he’s being transparent and not trying to do work that you don’t really need. Cole is also very professional and courteous. I will definitely return to Port Chester Mavis for my future auto repairs. Thanks Mavis of Port Chester!!

I purchased rear brake pads via online to get the specific ones i wanted. Went to this place and dropped my car off. Was quoted at $130 just to swap out the pads. Seemed high but i agreed. I was called 3 hours later and informed it would be $200. This is just to change pads over after making me wait 3 hours. I declined and picked my car up. Never will i go to mavis again. The dealer chargers less.

I used the online pricing and reservations tool snd wasn’t expecting a smooth experience. Much to my surprise everything went perfectly including my appointment time. Cecil was excellent and fully transparent and there was not one problem.My local mechanic would not have been able to get the tire for several days. I would highly recommend Mavis of Port Chester.

Had to stop by Mavis a few times recently for misc tire issues on two cars. Worked with Cecil at Mavis PC. He took good care of me both times and was honest about the repairs. They moved my favorite manager Cecil once again. But as always I had an amazing experience at Mavis. He was totally honest and professional but also very efficient with time.I never have to worry that Im not going to have a great customer service experience when hes there. I also expected to see some traffic or congestion in front due to the tight entrance but not once. They have a great workflow and sense of communication. Five Stars.

I came here last week to change my tire. It was not done correctly and the tire fell off on the highway and endangered me and my passengers lives. Mavis Discount Tire is taking this incredibly lightly. I called their customer service line and the employee sounded disinterested. I went in person to ask on the status and discuss the matter, the onsite employee was upset with the news and said if they could fire the employee that did this they would because this was not their first incident but refused to escalate this issue. The employee that changed our tire is a liability and they are refusing to act on this. It has been a week and they still have not remedied their mistake, as I am still driving with the spare tire. I do not recommend coming here for any service.

I’m very happy with this shop, and I have a very unique situation. Just recently my mom traveled to PA with my car and she had the unfortunate event of a flat tire being there. Not only she had to change that tire but the other three as well because it was time to get them changed anyway so she went to a near by Mavis and was able to change tires so she could come home safely to Stamford, CT. When she returned and gave me the receipts my husband noticed the new tires were the wrong ones. I called my local Audi dealership to ask if it was ok to drive with them and they told me absolutely not because it can do some damage. So since the car was back home in CT and wasn’t going to go back to PA to get it fixed I called their 1-800 number. I spoke to a regional manager and told me it can be fixed by just calling my local Mavis and they will change it for me at no cost. I first called Mavis in Greenwich but they were very busy and transferred me to a second Mavis also in Greenwich where I explained everything and the conversation with the regional manager but they didn’t have a clue how to do it and even told me I had to talk to the manager again to get it all arranged by him when the regional manager told me I didn’t have to. So I called the one in Port Chester and they were on it right away. Jaime and Christian were super helpful, patient since I really don’t know much about tires, and were willing to help even being very busy. They made my life easier :) I also appreciate that they were very nice on the phone and in person, you can feel their great attitude by the way they talk to you and for me that’s soooo valuable. I hate when some businesses cut you off or are very indifferent with you as a customer, but they were both great!! I had my tires changed and paid the difference of the bee tires cost and labor and now we can drive the car with no problem but most importantly stress-free. Thank you for the great service!!!

I had a nail in a tire and stopped in hoping for a quick repair it it turned out I needed a new tire:-(.Vaughn quickly ordered one, got it delivered and replaced the next morning. He filled up my tire so I could get around. Quick and painless fix!

I went to this particular shop to get my two back tires checked out as they seemed flat. After waiting almost 45 minutes (when I was told it would only be 15) I was told there was NOTHING wrong with my back tires. After hesitantly leaving, while driving home I flagged down by another driver and was told that my back tire looked flat. Worried I would get stuck in an unsafe area I went to another shop. Turns out, I had a nail in BOTH my back tires. I don’t think they even tried to look at my tires... also I called back to complain and they tried to tell me I had never even been there...Overall this place was absolutely terrible and could have harmed me if I did get my tires checked by another place.

Stay away from this place. I brought my wifes Nissan Rogue for a NYS inspection and was told the car needed brakes and rotors to pass. No problem, I OKd the work. Upon getting the car back, there was a clicking noise that you could bet money on that youd hear when slowing down between 15-10MPH. Multiple phone calls and trips back to Mavis and they say they cant hear anything. Mavis also stated they took a second look at the work they did and everything was OK, and that it must be the way my wife is driving and that she must have a heavy foot. Clicking noise continued. Back to Mavis, they again say everything looked OK, but they went ahead and re-did the work and replaced the parts. I doubt they replaced the parts because they were adamant they did work properly, but OK. Clicking noise continued. On top of that, the steering wheel began to violently shake when applying the brakes. Called Mavis and they had an attitude like they were tired of hearing about it and also said they have already done everything they could. Decided to take the car to Nissan to have the work re-done. Nissan told me that the rotors were warped and needed to be replaced, and the brakes were a third-party brand, which is fine, but genuine Nissan brakes have a pin in them that prevent that clicking noise. An additional $400 to have genuine Nissan parts installed at the dealer, have the work done correctly, peace of mind that my wife is driving safely, and a lesson learned to never return to any Mavis.7/19/21 Edit: District manager and a new store manager provided a full refund for the work they did. Im happy they made it right on their end.

Von was an absolute delight. He was honest and transparent in his pricing, and gave me, worst case and best case scenarios. He was thoughtful, patient, and forthcoming with all the information I needed to feel comfortable with the big purchase I needed to make. I brought him a quote from a dealership on the work that they recommended needed to be done, and he made sure the pricing from Mavis was exponentially better. I had my two front tires replaced, as well as all four brake pads and rotors (I know, I need to drive less aggressively). HA! Thank you, Von, for making me feel at home with Mavis. I will be returning for my oil changes and whatever other work needs to happen down the line! GREAT PEOPLE!

The guys who we were in contact with were curious and Covid friendly.Said that it might be 2 hours to change the 4 tires. I got a phone call an hour later to pick up the vehicle.Very pleased.

Would give them zero stars if I could. Went here to get my car inspected, first appointment I got there and was told the inspector wouldnt be there for an hour. They make appointments when the inspector isnt even there. I gave them a second chance and made an appointment for the next day. Even with an appointment Ive been waiting 2 and a half hours and counting. They do not care about their customers AT ALL, do not give them your business

I called them (Mavis Port Chester) two weeks ago to make my appointment for Saturday but when I got there on time the employee went to check the schedule and noticed that they hadn’t actually set my appointment; I still left my car there to be fixed. I asked the guy to replace two of my tires and my four tire sensors located at of the back of the wheels. I left thentwo wheels with him and let him know I left the 4 sensors inside of my glovebox. The guy later called me saying the sensors I brought didn’t fit and offered me new ones which I bought. After 4 hours (the job was supposed to be done in only 1 hour) I went to pick up my car; the next day I opened the glovebox to return the set of 4 sensors that had not fit and I realized that was only 2 of the 4 sensors there. I went back to the store and I asked the guy to check if they had misplaced the other ones at the shop. Luckily he found one still inside of it’s packaging but the other package was empty. He told me that one of the guys who cleaned the area had probably thrown it away in the gabarge. I was forced to close my refund without it and lost $37. Unfortunately this is my review of my experience.

Terrible. I am not writing the review because this is a one off experience but rather, they are consistently bad the last few times Ive taken my car. This past experience was far below even past negative experiences. First, there was no communication or updates about a fix that was to take longer than expected. They were unable to do a basic repair and then three days in to the repair, the mechanic didnt show up for work so they had no mechanics on staff. Not sure how they stay in business but will not return and do not recommend.

Numerous brands of tires in stock for my car when I arrived. Got 4 new tires, balanced and installed, alignment and brake fluid service without an appointment in 2 hours. Staff were courteous and professional.

I left my car for service and when I picked it up I discovered my mirror control switch was broken. I take excellent care of my car and know for a fact it was not like this when I left it. The shop will not take responsibility or return my calls.

Talk about life savers walked in and was greeted by a very profesional gentleman name Jaime. I let him know about my situation where my tire blew out on the exit on the 95 and as fate had it Mavis Store was near. It was close to closing time and Jaime took me in and stood to help me get back in the road. I did end up needing a new tire which he did go over my options and worked on the price for me. This kind of customer service is what keeps businesses alive. 1st time at Mavis and will be happy to do my business here when needed. Thank you Jaime again and thank you Mavis.

I hit a pot-hole today on I 95 on the way to Massachusetts and needed a new tire quickly. My car has unusual tires and most dealers do not stock them. However, I knew that Mavis sometimes does. This Mavis had the tire, replaced it and got me back on the road in 35 minutes. Excellent, professional service. Cannot speak highly enough of the Mavis team at Port Chester.

Had a flat and was stranded into he side of the road. I called Mavis and they had several tires in my size in stock. Problem was that it was 4:45 and they close at 5. The manager said that they would stay late for me if I could get it there.A little air and a little luck and I arrived just in time. The whole team treated me very professionally and gave me a fair deal. They stayed a few minutes late and had me out in a few minutes. Would have bought a fu set but I was an hour from home and they didnt have the time to do them all considering the circumstances.12/10. Saved me from being stranded and a solid experience to boot

I took my car in today for a tire issue I was experiencing. I was very explicit with which tire I was having issue with (front driver’s side). They confirmed they would check the issue. To make myself readily available for when the car would be ready, I stayed in the area. After two hours of not receiving a call from the service department, I went back to check on the status and noticed them working on the back tires. When I stopped them and restated the issue was with the front driver’s side tire, I didn’t receive an apology that the wrong tires were checked; I was told that the service department “did me a courtesy” and they would now check the tire that was causing my initial concern. The rudeness and unapologetic actions of the service people working today was appalling. It wasn’t until they overheard me mention I was going to give a bad review that they rushed to find the issue (valve stem issue) and didn’t charge me for labor.

The staff was very courteous. I will Differently return to this location thanks for an awesome service on my vehicle Cole Forrester.

Working with Jamal, a member of the service team was truly a pleasure. He was able to walk me through everything I needed to allow my vehicle to pass inspection, and, most notably, Jamal emphasized how important the work was because of his concern for the safety of the drivers in my vehicle. Terrible communication. For the first time in years I took my car into mavis in september to fix a noise in my car they never let me know when my car was ready and they told me they called me when they didnt. My pads had warranty from that specfic mavis for the brake pads and they told me I wasnt in the system, so I had to show them receipts from 2 or 3 years ago to get a small discount even though it was under warranty. A couple weeks later the noise came back so today I went for an appointment that I scheduled a week ago to fix the problem to find out that they were close for today. Didnt receive a call about it or anything. Didnt find out till I arrived there and was told by someone that works there that they were closed.

Bad service, never again will work Mavis discount, they never do what they promised.

I brought my car in for service November 27 for issues with my breaks as well as inspection at the Mavis in Port Chester, NY. They replaced the break pads and rotors. Since then my car has been making noises when I break. They also forgot to refill my break fluid. I got a partial refund of about $183 for the break fluid from them. Since then I brought my car into the Mavis in Port Chester around 8 times to fix the issue with the breaks. I spoke to the regional manager who back in January said that if they do not resolve the issue then I would get a full refund, the issue was not fixed. It is always temporary fixed and then comes back 1-2 weeks later. For the past 4 weeks I have been trying to get a hold of the regional manager who has not gotten back to any of my phone calls. I called earlier today and the regional manager is refusing to talk to me after I have been promised a call for the past 2 monthsJust to reply to mafia I d9d call up customer service for months. I was told the regional manager would talk to me. After several attempts another manager said it was denied and gave me no reason and refused to put the regional manager on

You think its going to be an easy experience with relatively nice people working there until you get your car/tires serviced and some issue arises with the service, the bill, the folks working there and no matter how much you call to get the problem resolved, they will NOT call back.

When I come to Mavis, Von always helps me with my car . He’s great at what he does and knows how to take care of people!

They quoted me a price and a time.The price was exactly as quoted when I came back at the exact time they told me.The communication was clear and I felt good about it the whole time. The store manager is also a chill dude. I’d recommend going here if you find yourself in the position of needing some tire work done.

This place is a joke, they are so bad it’s sad how you have these people working there, I have warranty on my tires they told me four different prices first everything was covered than they say my tires not so I had to pay 110 the manger tried to make me get the warranty again after I told him 5 times I don’t want it he said it automatic comes with its but I have to pay for it’s what I look stupid to you. Please don’t not go there they lie and just want to hit there quota.

Came in because of a flat tire on Saturday afternoon. The gentleman behind the counter was extremely professional and had to order the proper make and tire size. He advised that it would be about two hours. The gentleman who fixed the tire and installed the tire, also reinstalled the spare and equipment back into the trunk. I was very upset finding out I was misinformed. But my dissatisfaction didn’t last long. Davon went above & beyond reaching out to his superiors to make sure I pay the price I was offered. This was a horrible experience from start to finish. The they told me it was a two hour wait and it ended up being 4 hours. The employees were rude, and Im pretty sure some quarters are missing from my change cup. Really go anywhere else if you can.

Fair pricing, just make sure to ask for a quote before starting work. And that is true for all other shops.

Made a 3pm appointment online the prior day. Arrived slightly early and was told itll be 2 hours or so wait time. Went to park the car in the back as requested and when I went back inside to drop the keys off they then told me they are not accepting anymore jobs today.I was told directly by their staff that it doesnt matter that I made an appointment.I went somewhere else and caution others to do the same to save yourself some headache.

Friendly guys checked my tire for a leak and found the rim was cracked! They didnt charge me. I ordered the rim and will have them put it on.
