Decently stocked store. Great for maintenance and the essential items one would need for boat ownership. Its about hit or miss with the floor staff on what type of attitude theyll have. On one occasion an older gent went above and beyond to get me what I needed to service my Yamaha 9.9. Ill update his name in this review next time I stop in.

Always a better deal than most anywhere else, and they have more parts, chemicals,,,, you know.Boat stuff.What I grabbed today was about half the cost of the same product at West Marine.Been a customer since they opened down on 84.

Why or how this place is still operating is astounding. Never have any items in stock and must special order- good luck. If the special order employee can be found be prepared to deal with a gentleman who is in desperate need of anger management and overall like coaching. Be sure to not only have make, model, serial number but also O.E.M part # and aftermarket part # for the item youre looking for since he hasnt a clue. Then you may have a slim chance of getting it ordered if not told to basically order it yourself.Staff are bored and miserable- justifiably so. I highly recommend spending a couple extra dollars and going down the road to West Marine if you need an item asap. If not, save some money, and the aggravation of ultimately dealing with the parts employee who acts like hes court ordered to be there, and just buy it on Amazon.

New boat owner. Ive only been here twice. First time was good. They had everything I needed. A senior gentlemen was very helpful in finding me what I needed. The second time I had to restrain myself from giving the person who helped me a piece of my mind. Could not have been more rude and unprofessional. It wasnt the senior gentlemen. It was a middle aged man. Skinny. Gray hair. Very rude. It seemed like my questions werent worth his time. He had a really annoyed attitude towards answering my questions. He pointed me in the right direction to what I needed, but didnt explain anything to me. He just threw stuff in my hands and said Itll work and walked away. This place has tons of stuff on the shelves and are reasonably priced, but service like what that guy provided ruined my experience. This establishment will be my last ditch effort to get what I need if everyone else is sold out. That guy was a straight up jerk.

They wouldnt let me return a faulty float switch. I spend so much time and money at this store, Im very surprised. The management knows who I am, Im a frequent customer. If you guys can fix this I will gladly delete this review. Thankfully there are other boat stores in the area.

Came in with a complicated ( i thought ) problem to which the staff pointed out a much simpler solution. Went to this place multiple times over a few days. Always needing to get one more item or part or piece of equipment. They were able to help us in getting almost everything except for a couple of very unique parts 4 the boat. The staff is very helpful very friendly and always knew where the item was that we needed.

If you have a boat and a reasonable skill set and enjoy the DIY scene this is the only place to go. The staff are more than helpful and the selection is incredible compared with the big national companies.

Everything you need for boat owners at a fair price

Extremely disappointed in the inferior and unprofessional level of service. I purchased $500 in items 3 hours prior and went back to return several unused items without a receipt. The same staff that assisted with my transaction earlier was unable to look up a receipt copy and unwilling to assist in any capacity. I was told to come back another day when a manager would be present. An indecorous first and only visit to say the least considering most competitors prices are 20% less anyways.

Prices are high which is expected from the marine supply, but Ive yet to come across a staff member who isnt miserable. Theyll cash you out or cut wire/rope, but I wouldnt expect them to do anything the dont absolutely have to do.I assume the fact everyone is miserable is because of management.

Agreed with the below about Jim yet the manager is arrogant. If she would lose her bad attitude it would not transfer to her staff. What we need is a third marine supply house as competition which would be healthy and more healthy for the consumer or simply order what you need online.

Did not have what i needed but solid place overall

Unethical. Rude. Abusive. My husband sent me into BOW to pick up buoys and 250 ft of rope. I ran in, grabbed 2 different kinds of buoys for a total of 4 buoys and $650. I was t surecwhat he needed. Having previously shopped here, I knew I could return with my receipt. They checked me out and never mentioned a different return policy for hurricane season. I grabbed the wrong buoys and went in to exchange them, with receipt in hand. Can you imagine my shock when they would not return or exchange because a hurricane hade passed by two days after I purchased them? What the hell? The staff and manager were extremely rude and clearly unprofessional. I went into BOW twice and NEVER saw a sign explaining the new policy- no return & no exchange. The Checkers ( plural- there are two)NEVER informed me of this. The man that helped me carry the buoys never informed me. They are clearly abusing good customers when a hurricane approaches. Thats ridiculous. My husband spends lots of money in there and we are both shocked at the rude, abusive, and unprofessional thievery. Highly unethical conduct and I will not be back.After some research I have found several other marine stores with much better reviews. My business will be directed to the other marine service providers in the future.What a shame. The men at BOW had been so helpful in the past. Such a shame management chose to rip customers off ruining a mutually beneficial relationship. Greed is never successful.You dont treat good customers unethically and stay in business very long.
