This is a no frills grocery store, no free bags for your purchases (bring your own bags or purchase them at the register for 99 cents each). Aisles are not visually pleasing and wares are awkwardly stacked. No staff in the aisles to help you find things. No staff to help you get your purchases out to the car. Few shopping carts. Prices are very good for some things but not as good as Publix or Winn Dixie for others. Meat selection is slim. All foods are off shelf brands. I attempted to purchase some frozen chicken from the center aisle freezer and realized at the register that it was soft, nearly defrosted. While the expiration date was a month away, I didnt want to take a chance on frozen chicken that wasnt being kept frozen in the grocery store. Every single one of the packages of the 6 cheese Italian in the dairy cooler were split open at the bottom. Cashier was very nice. Lots of ethnic foods, primarily Latin and Caribbean. I understand the store is no frills but not keeping frozen foods frozen in the store before I buy them is a real turn off. For that reason, I wont be going back here.

Ive shopped here for along time and enjoyed getting great deals on quality meats and produce!They always HAD what I was looking for!The store WAS always clean!They HAD a store manager (Mike)That was always available, friendly & helpful,With awesome cashiers ( such as Diane) that never kept you waiting!Well as you can read between the lines those days are gone!!NOW the store has a manager that is never on the floor, employees couldnt even tell me if they had tamales in can or where I could find them if they did;The RESPONSE I got when I asked was-- oh I dont have a clue while leaning back against the register with no intentions of helping me look or paging the manager to find out!

I came here around 3:15pm to get my daughter baby food today and while I’m checking out the cashier name love proceeded to tell me there was insufficient funds on my card. I told her that every time I come and purchase items off my wic card it denies my card if she don’t scan the item one by one. I already was told from an employee that when using wic, all item must be scanned one by one or it will deny your card. She then told me that she’s not going to scan each item one by one, leaving me to have to purchase what I can, cash. I am very dissatisfied in the poor customer service I experienced today.

This is my go to place for a lot of my shopping. Every time I walk in Im warmly welcomed by the workers. Theyre really nice to talk with while checking my purchases. Great job guys to all the Save-A-Lot team!!

A lot of people give Save-A-Lot a bad name because it is normally in or areas its not top shelf what you can find wonderful deals hear the meat is actually good Im surprised and you would be paying a lot less than you think so I have to say highly recommended

Not a great selection, cash registers are slow, 9/10 times the line is super long. Its almost like a large convenience store, prices are ok, sometimes too high for the product. I dont know why anyone would shop here as their main source of groceries. Theres better options. I only go here because its very close to my house, just outside of my neighborhood and I feel like most people who shop here are the same. Their fruits and vegetables are sad.

I been shopping here for years its sort of clean sometimes but a few days ago I seen a big ass rat run across the aisle and sometimes you can find rat droppings on the bottom shelves like behind the boxes. It was a store full of people and it had no shame so you know it (and others) have probably been there for a while...Dont do it.

This place has great prices. There is not much staff, if you have questions, but once you learn the store, there is money to be saved here!! I am on SSI, and could not survive without this store. If you are a first timer, remember the prices from your regular grocery store. You will be pleasantly surprised here.

This store only has maybe 5 shopping carts left out of all those shopping carts this stare once had. Someone walked off with them and a lot of them are around the area of the store. You think the store thought about having someone pick them up? Nope! People have to wait for a cart or hold their stuff in hand. Or use dollar general shopping cart. If you coming to pick up a few items make sure you find yourself a cart first. Its not many and youll have to walk the park-in-lot to find one or go inside the store to see if theres an empty cart. The store needs to get better shopping carts so this doesnt happen the one in pompano has a lock on the carts so nobody steals theirs and they also got new carts. I just dont get it but if nothing is done about this Im going else where. Because Im not the only one complain when I go here bout the carts.. Alot of others complain about the issue as well and nothing is being done.. Like nobody really cares.

I tried to call store 4 days in a row 3 times about half hour apart and no one answers. I live in lake worth and other save a lot closed near me. I dont want to waste time going all the way to pompano for nothing. Workers need to answer the phone.

For all my shoppers out there, if you go to save a lot they always have some sort of secret sale for meat, it varies by location and its not some every day thing but its a great deal

The employees here are great. They are helpful and respectful. I shop there at least 3 days a week.

There was a good variety of items to choose from. Prices were good, I found what I was looking for. However the cashiers are slow and there is oftenly only one cashier available.

Its kinda gross here. Found some good prices but I would much rather shop at aldi. The cashier didnt seem to care that she over charged me for some things. Didnt even say sorry when I told her about it.

The manager and employees are not only rude but disrespectful. At first I wondered how some some people had employment here until I saw/spoke to the manager. I would spend the extra gas or money to go somewhere differently

Doesnt even deserve one star, wish they would let me give negatives. They dont carry most major name brands, the place is filthy and always smells terrible. Produce goes bad overnight if you can find anything worth buying to start with. Their selection on anything is limited at best. Biggest problem of all - BUGS - you have to watch the flour, rice and all products made of such things for those little black flour bugs, sugar for ants and all paper products for cockroaches. Needless to say, I wont be setting foot in there again. Im surprised I didnt bring fleas home to my poor pets or worse, bedbugs home to the rest of my unsuspecting house. Sav-A-Lot is BAD news

They always have one register open with an 76 year old man. And have other workers walking around the floor. Everyone is slow over there.

Great service for the amount of people working there. Very understaffed however I dont think its the people in stores fault, as Save a lot was just bought out.The Store Manager Mike was great, and more patient than I would be with the people that come in.You know a store is understaffed when the STORE MANAGER is on the register, which is sad!!!!!!!!!

Its a great store to save at for my family of three. Ive been to several diffrent ones here in South Florida and I can say they all have their faults. This one on Sample in Pompano however is unfortunately at the bottom of my list. Everytime I go there are absolutely no carts anywhere. Ive searched in the parking lot, cart corral, and inside. Very inconvenient to shop without a buggy to put my groceries in. The produce in the cooler is nice, but there is this whole dark bunch of bins next to it that is almost scary to reach into to look at the root, and veggies. Although the meat department is sort of tiny I do have to admit it is clean and very well priced for some things. However today I witnessed a gentleman inquiring why the two ground beefs were priced different the associates answer was Because its two diffrent meats. and walked away as if she had just been inconvenienced. That is a serious lack of customer service to me. He then came and asked me if I understood why to which I explained to him the difference between 80/20 ground beef and 93/7. He shook his head when it finally hit him thanked me, chose his purchase and walked away. My check out experience was very interesting although very greatful I didnt have to wait in line while one person rings up 10 patrons, my cashier did lack the same customer service as his fellow counterpart from earlier. Since there where no buggies to shop in I had to place my items in my bag while I shopped, which meant there was no buggy to place my purchases in at check out. My checker just rung up my groceries and handed them to me one by one. Its a very uncomfortable and unwelcoming experience here. The good thing is that this is near my home, which is why Ive been here more than once, and I can always prepare myself to feel like an inconvenience or oblivious when I shop here. It has great potential to be a nice experience because it is two doors from a Dollar General ( for all of us on a super tight budget) I just hope management can figure it out.

Only one register open manager walking around on her cell phone another employee came out front then went back in the office. Very poor customer service. Had only a few carts I was luck enough to get the last one. Very displeased. I shop at save a lots all over the US and this is by far one of the worst experiences Ive had.

Very filthy store manager looks as if he never washes his clothes he always appears dirty and is very rude. I had found a pack of steak that had a green mold like spot on it. Me being in the customer service field wanted to just let him know and he was rude and exclaimed to me to leave the store for falsely accusing the store of selling expired meat. I wished I had taken a picture of the pack. The day was 5 days past due.

Not good, it looks like theyre getting ready to close down the place... very little beer, few baskets, equipment sounds as if it is falling apart. Two cashiers, 9 or 10 people in each line, slow movement...customers grumbling at every opportunity.

I wanted to buy some chicken that was advertised.My girlfriend went there and they were out of stock.The next day I called to ask if they had the chicken and they said they did not.I asked if I could come in and get a rain check and they said they do not give rain checks and they were Rude the way that they spoke to me.
