Just purchased two outboards,Outstanding customer service and extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of their products.

I was in the market for an EU2200i and wanted the model without the Bluetooth and the CO Monitor. Since the freeze here in Texas they are few and far between. Joel had a few in stock and was was willing to ship the unit. He answered the phone personally when I called and was communicative via text as well. I only found out later that he is the owner. He sold and shipped the generator reasonably and quickly. His excellent reputation is well deserved and I would happily do business with Joel again. The bottom line: If you want the best generator; you buy a Honda. If you want the best service; you buy it from Joel at Great Outboard.

I live in Long Island, and after my power being out for a week from the last most recent storm, I searched the Northeast for a hard to find Honda EU7000IS inverter generator. Zero to be had. I called shops up and down the coast until I found Great Outboard. I checked them out, and the reviews were stellar. By some miracle he had the machine I wanted. Joel (owner) worked with me, gave me a great price, and handled all the shipping. I just received the unit in perfect condition. I was a teamster who loaded trucks, and know in what shape this could have arrived. Not even a scratch. I trusted Joel Santiago sight unseen from 1200 miles away with a very expensive purchase, and could not be happier. This guy is from the old school of doing business right. Awesome is how I would describe my experience with Great Outboard!My past experiences with other mechanics have been pretty much expensive and terrible. I looked long and hard for a replacement motor for my boat... Living on the West Coast, nothing was within reach. Motors are like the Holly Grail and cost more than a new boat. So I found one via the internet from Great Outboard. The price was right, the motor was what I wanted and needed but, there were 2000+ miles in between... I took a chance and actually sent a check into the blind (and a hefty one too). I was a bit worried and tracked it all the way... As soon as the check was received and cleared, the motor was packed and shipped. I received it yesterday (IN ONLY 4 TRANSIT DAYS from the east coast to the west coast !!!!!!). HARD TO FIND THIS KIND OF SERVICE THESE DAYS !!!! Not only this is a trustworthy business but, they REALLY know what they say and do. I called and asked for advice over the phone and received it, I spoke with everyone in the shop and they all took their time and explained and answered every question I had... If I EVER need any parts or advice, this will be my first call. Highly recommended and THANK-YOU !!!!

Still looking for a generator? Great Outboard in Pompano is independently-owned and has a nice selection of Honda generators. Joel provides sales and service at the same or lower cost than the big guys. Buy local!

One of the best service experiences we have had in a very long time. We have a Honda 225 outboard, and until recently there was one inconvenient authorized parts/dealer in eastern Broward County.Fortunately, I discovered Great Outboards had moved to Pompano Beach.The owner Joel and staff are stand-up guys, they carefully explained everything to me, the good, the bad, the things that we could run into and the possible costs associated.The communication was great, charges were very fair, service fast, and the boat was ready when they promised. Never had a 4 for 4 in the marine industry and I have been boating for 25 years.I’m dropping off our Honda generators tomorrow, as they are also an authorized Honda generator sales and service center.My understanding is they also service Yamaha, Mercury, and Evinrude and have been in business since 2009.
