I’ve had the gentleman at Autologists work on two of my vehicles so far. The first being a spoiler in which they had a 6hour turn around and now my 2017 Elantra. The dealer gave me a 4-6 week turn around where the guys at Autologists were able to replace and repaint two new doors and all parts and materials in 6 days and for less than what competitors quoted. I made a BAD CHOICE is using Autologists. Here is an honest review of my experience. I decide to use them after speaking with Chris (the owner) and because of his passion for his work, his guarantee of the quality of his work, superior products and his personal promise, “that I would not need to return.”, sold me. Unfortunately, none of it came true. I thought that during this pandemic, I would give my business to a local, small business in hopes it would help to keep his business open and employees employed. We scheduled a date and time to drop the vehicle off and Chris stood me up and was a no show… which he did several more times throughout this experience. We called several times. Chris doesn’t answer his phone, doesn’t returns phone call, text message or emails. This happened over and over throughout this ordeal. (Unless he’s in need of something) He finally showed up over an hour late with no explanation and no apology. He promised the vehicle returned in 3-5 days, which came and went. He kept asking for more time which we gave him, so not to rush the work and to have it done right the first time. Two weeks later he delivers the vehicle to us in the rain and his work could not be inspected. The following morning all the imperfections of his work just leaped off the vehicle. Nearly every surface he painted had flays were the paint had runs in it. Areas to be painted were missed completely and you could see the primer. There was tape residue left behind. He did more damage to the vehicle than what was to be repaired. They broke the side power mirror from their lack of knowledge in how to remover the “cap” so it could be painted and had to replace it. Damage the roof trim, didn’t protect the inside of the vehicle, leaving it with dirt and grease everywhere and used the backseat area to store old parts etc., leaving dirt on the carpeting. We called and called Chris to bring these issues to his attention, we schedule an appointment to bring the vehicle back and again he stood me up… wouldn’t return my calls or text messages. We finally tracked him down, took the vehicle to him and although he took responsibility to address the issues, it was nothing but excuses for why the imperfection were there. It took him a month to get the vehicle back in the shop. We scheduled another appointment which he stood me up again for the 3 or 4th time. Drop the vehicle off with a turn-around time of 2-3 days. We had to contact him to find out whether the vehicle was ready, which he said it was and could be picked up… then he kept asking for more time because it wasn’t finished, with one excuse after another. 24 hours later they dropped the vehicle off at 9pm and his work could not be inspected until the following morning. The following morning, we could not believe what our eyes were telling us. Although they fixed the mirror and you would have thought, Chris, knowing all the issues, would have personally inspected the vehicle to ensure it was perfect, before it left his shop. None of the imperfections were the paint had runs in it, were fixed and remain, they chipped paint when removing the roof trim, the inside of the vehicle was filthy and they didn’t bother to wash the vehicle, when Chris said, all that needed to be done was to wash and polish the vehicle which he was going to do himself. Chris needs to learn the importance of good communications, customer service, how to delegate and inspect what he expects from his employees and others doing his work, otherwise inferior shoddy work will continue to leave his shop representing him and his business. I should have used a more recognized established, and more dependable larger body shop.

Chris is definitely one of the most honest mechanics Ive met. I have taken my car to Autologist twice now after accidents and they always take care of you like family. They explain the break down of what needs to be fixed and the cost from the very begining; they work with any budget by providing several different options for you to choose. No matter what needs to get done, you are guaranteed that your car will look brand new in the end.

I met Chris a few years ago. He is a humble and a good person all around. Always lending a hand with out hesitation or worry if he gets dirty. We discussed my project a few times and came up with ideas on what to do and how it will look better completed. It was a long 3 month process but the result was more than what I expected. To start, I needed some rust fixed around the third brake light so it wasnt leaking inside... first gave me a price..that changed three time.. Quality of work is poor... turn around time took over a month...they broke my back window ..replaced it with a non heated window that now leaks really bad...where they replace the metal around the third brake light leaks .they just put any kind of metal in.. an there no way to seal it. Theres primer on my door panels an dash..gave me my truck back was cleaned inside at all there was broke glass all over the back seats an behind them

Complete rip off. Was recommended by my manager at work who had seen some of his body work on Instagram. Had my car for over a month and a week after my insurance called me to tell me my 30 days on the rental were up there was no answer on the phone (he rarely ever answers) I drove up there to find that he had barely touched my car in 30 days. After the insurance company didn’t agree to extend my rental he then said my car would be done on Friday. After this he continued to give me the run around every day how it would be done one day and then when that day came it’s tomorrow morning then it’s come after you get off work then it’s the next day and the day after that. Honestly gave me every excuse in the book how he didn’t have enough people how the insurance company didn’t pay him enough. Finally when he said my car was ready to be “picked up” it looked like a 2 year old slapped it together . He put the broken tail light back on my car and when I noticed it he said oh my bad I put the wrong one on and grabbed the new one from the back. My car was far from mediocre and I was not accepting it. He was also supposed to replace the trunk liner and did not do that after saying something he then put it in after the fact. After telling him how unacceptable this was. He had my car for another whole week. which I had to ride my bike and take Uber’s Everywhere and finally when he said it was “done” I went to pick up my car Notonly was the body work and paint mediocre at best my car will not drive straight at all and I have a flat tire. Then forced me to pay out of pocket for work that should have been completed in the first place.Complete scumbag wouldn’t wish him on my worst enemy. So glad my car is out of his hands so I can take it to a real body shop. PLEASE TAKE YOUR CAR ANYWHERE ELSE BUT HERE. SCAM ARTIST wish I could put less stars
