I have been going to Erika for about 7 years now. She started my locs and has maintained them like they were her own. There has never been a time where I have come in and been unsatisfied with the service. Everything from the intimate setting with everyone around laughing and talking about everything from the local events to food shows on TV... All the way to how she handles her consultations and listens to the clients needs and makes suggestions based off not only what they want but also what they need. If she sees any issues or hair problems, both in her clients or consultations, she lets it be known and provides practical solutions on how to take care of it moving forward.And then on top of all that, as people have mentioned before, her hair care products are the truth. Not greasy or flaky, and they smell spectacular... Plus, they actually work in moisturizing and cleaning your hair.All of these elements make for an amazing experience EVERY TIME I go into her shop and make me appreciate her as a natural hair specialist.

Erickas hair products are AMAZING!!!! They arent just for people with locs, its for all natural hair. I use her butter, moisturizer, and glaze. My twist outs always look amazing and my hair is so healthy. Her products are natural and smell wonderful! They also do beautiful work on hair! Because they REALLY understand natural hair, i dont worry about my hair being damaged during the styling process. I drive almost an hour from home just to get her products. If you call her she will ship it to you and it arrives very quickly.

Decided to begin my loc journey and wanted to have a stylist who was familiar with the growing process. Discovered honeylocs on Google and decided to do a walk in consultation. The day of my appointment, Ms. Erika started my appointment right on our scheduled time and completed my starter locs in less time than I expected. Very professional and she made me feel every dollar I spent was well worth it. She even gave me a little extra care and shaped my sides up and my goatee. Had the pleasure of coming here once. She was pleasant, nice, and professional. I scheduled my next appointment one month out because she was really booked. I got a text saying she had to cancel due to a family emergency which I understand. However, she didnt reach out to assist with a reschedule being that her next available appointment was another amonth out. ☹ so thats two months without hair care.All that aside her hair care product is the truth! Ive gone most of my life floating from product to product looking for one to help with my coarse coily hair. The conditioner has been God send and it smells fantastic.

I was so excited to find this business on Google. Website and voicemail said all new clients must have a consult and consults are walk-in, no appt. neccessary. So I arrived on a Saturday at 12:30pm (website and voicemail say she is open from 12-2 for consults). Door was locked and no one was there. I called and left and message and texted her cell phone. I waited around the area till 2pm hoping she would contact me and we could still meet up. I received a text message around 3pm saying she was running late and she would be there until 5:30 if I still wanted to come in. I let her know I was disappointed in this lack of professionalism and have had no response. Nothing to try and make this right. Sad that she treats potential new clients like this.

Wow! I dont know where to start. From the atmosphere when I walk through the door until I am finished and leaving with my hair 2 strand twisted, soft, and smelling good it is a great experience. I LOVE the Free to Swim products! Amazing! I have tried soooo many products on the shelves of beauty supply stores and all of them dried out my natural hair (no locs). After using the Free to Swim shampoo bar and conditioner (which are very affordable) I am throwing away ALL the other products in my cabinet. Oh and my 17 year old son really likes the products as well Thank you Erika. You are a blessing!

I had to wait 3 months for an appointment and then she cancelled, without telling me, because I hadn’t been there recently enough. Once she put color on my hair and walked out of the room to make a personal phone call. My hair started burning. I told her that after she finally came back in the room and she didn’t even apologize. Don’t wast your time booking an appointment with this woman. Apparently her friends come first.

I normally dont write reviews, but wanted to express my appreciation for Honeylocs. When I moved to the North Texas area, finding someone to mantietence my locs was a nightmare. The young lady that maintained my hair for years, moved to Kenya, and after she left I went almost 2 years without having my hair mantienced. Now I did occasional palm rolls, but with a heavy work schedule that was too time consuming. I found a few salons but most of them told me to cut my hair and start over. I had been growing my hair for almost 8 years at that point, and that is the last thing anyone would want to hear. I ended up finding Honeylocs online, and scheduled a consultation that same day. After arriving to the salon, I met Erika inside, and told her what the problem was, and I was expecting her to react like the salons did, salons I had visited earlier that week. Erika took one look at my head, and said your hair is not that bad, I can help get your locs back healthy again. After hearing her say that, it was a huge burden lifted off of me, and ever since that day I have been coming to Erika for all my hair needs. Honeylocs is professional, honest, and intentional about doing a great job. Erika is very talented, and she constantly blows my mind with the amount of styles she can conjure up in an instant. Sorry for the long review, but just wanted to share my honest thoughts about Honeylocs.

Erika is wonderful! I love coming to her Salon Suite to have my locs palm rolled. The indiviual service is what keeps me coming back! Erika takes the time to help educate you on whats going on with your hair. I found her after going theough 3 different stylist and im so glad i did.

You have to do a consultation first before scheduling an appt. I went in on saturday at 1 for a consultation but no one was there. How do they expect to get new clients if no one is at the salon and the phone goes straight to voicemail. Not happy.
