Jeff and his team at the Plainfield store provided coffee and pastries for our residents ar the Quin Apartments. Great coffee, service, and delish homemade pastries. These folks always try hard to please and be friendly whether I drop by myself for a caffeine fix or they cater one of our Coffee Grab-n-Go events. Love their coffee and their attitude!

Great coffee ☕️ shop next to Dairy Queen 🍨. I had the quiche and it was completely delicious. The prices were reasonable and the service was excellent. I wish it was cool enough for me to sit outside in the front section of the shop.

Coffee was spot on. I tried the special, lavender latte! Very tasty! We also shared avocado toast with egg. Yummy!! Will definitely go back!

Do not understand the rave reviews of this place at all. I tried this place for the first time and ordered two lattes and it was extremely underwhelming. They were easily the worst lattes we have ordered- very burnt.

Cosy spot. Nice atmosphere. Lovely people. My wifes espresso-based drink was awesome. We did not eat lunch here, but had a few desserts which were good. The only disappointing thing was... the seriously weak drip coffee (think: diner level weak). Maybe I had a bad batch? Will be back and adjust stars.

Expensive and bland. Disappointed that my $7 dirty chai was lacking in flavor :/

I worked close by and, to be honest, the highlight of my week was to go there to have lunch in Friday’s. Absolutely loved their soups (always creamy and flavorful) and their sandwiches. The mango mouse is a must try!

I DO NOT believe these rave reviews after the experience I had. The iced coffee was absolutely disgusting! I have no clue what people order from here, that would make them come back. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Probably one of the worst coffees Ive ever had besides donkin donuts...and I drink a lot of coffe throughout the day in different parts of NJ...coffe was clear color Ive talked to the guy. He told me its a medium roast...throw it away..it was medium urine....on the other hand triangle banana pastry was really good....

Ive been meaning to stop by since The Coffee Box is right up the road from where I work. Im a coffee nerd and love trying out different coffee houses as each one is different from the next. I opted for a pour over and an order of avocado toast. The coffee blend I chose was the Rwandan blend and it was made to perfection. I also ordered avocado toast and that took was very good. From the looks of it, they bake everything onsite which is nice to see. Now that I know that the quality of the coffee is what it is, Ill be going back.

I was really impressed with this coffee place. I had the ice coffee black and it was very smooth. It was strong enough to overcome the ice which was good so I could enjoy it slowly. They had a nice system set up where you order at the window and pay and then wait for your name to be called. It made social distancing easy. They also had outdoor seating under umbrellas so if you wanted to stay you could do that too. We didn’t but there were enough seats that we could have if we wanted to. The people were very nice. The person taking my order was quick and courteous and signed me up for the rewards program too. I was very happy and will come back if I’m in the area. Not sure if I would go out of my way to get coffee here but I would consider it.

A shining example of small business at its finest. Incredible food, charming and welcoming customer service, cute decor and great ambiance. I feel like this will be our new Sunday brunch spot.

Theres something that draws me to smaller local coffee shops. Often times its the exceptional service, variety of drinks and treats and the overall environment. The Coffee Box knocks all of these out of the park. This is my new favorite cafe in all of Plainfield.

I love this place! Small, intimate, urban! Pre-covid and now during covid they always go above and beyond. Very professional and friendly personnel. The food is always so fresh, you can taste the love they put into it when making it. The coffee is one of the best I’ve had. I always call and order ahead because now due to covid they appear to be a little busier. Just call and place your order, they have it ready in minutes.

Wow! Delicious fresh baked treats and coffee, and relaxing, stylish space!. Nice team and close to RT 22. I started coming here when a friend recommended it, his architectural team created the space. Now, I meet with one of my clients here every two weeks and brainstorm ideas, and develop strategies. And I bring home desserts for everyday desserts or special events like todays 25th wedding anniversary! Highly recommend!

Lovely spot and staff! Owner is active and quite personable. Coffee is good and goat cheese salad with smoked salmon was very tasty. Could be considered pricey but definitely gives you NYC class with Brooklyn swag vibes so its worth it!! Enjoy!

I had high hopes but was quickly disappointed. I ordered a regular drip, along with avocado toast and a poached egg. Coffee was just meh. Nothing special, just OK. It was given to me lukewarm, not hot, so I asked for another. What made this experience very disappointing was the avocado toast. What I got was one slice of avo toast with a bed FULL of salad. The lettuce overpowered the presentation of the avo toast. For the price I was expecting 2 slices but what I got was one slice and a bunch of lettuce! Dissatisfied to say the least.

This is a small cafe with great coffee, teas, and food. The match late is delicious. Their quiches are delicious. They come with a fresh salad and great salad dressing. The bakery is delicious, especially the scones and the banana bread. The staff is friendly. You have to visit this little gem.

I personally love visiting new coffee spots as I’m a huge coffee nerd, and this one in particular has been one of the best coffee spots I’ve been to! Not only that, but it’s so close to my residence. The atmosphere is great, the food is amazing, and the staff is beyond polite and very attentive to their customers. The owner of The Coffee Box is such a nice guy for asking us how we enjoyed our meal and made us feel very welcomed. I definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a healthy quick breakfast bite, and the iced coffee was on right on par. I will for sure be coming back again! Thank you again for today!

He creates an environment where everyone is embraced and celebrated as they are and between him and all of his wonderful baristas it really feels like Im going to a family members home. They are artisans of coffee and tea, pride themselves on exceptional quality and create a community that gives us all a home away from home. Cant recommend The Coffee Box enough!!

A lovely coffee shop in Plainfield. Nice selection of coffees and teas. Excellent short breads; I particularly like the vegan zucchini bread. Their avocado toast and quiches are also very good. Outdoor seating is nice in the spring and fall.

Wonderful local spot with highly skilled baristas. The quality of the coffee/espresso drinks are always top notch, and the food is as well. I work from home and probably come here 1-2x a week for the calm atmosphere, food and of course brews. No gimmicky syrupy drinks here, which I appreciate! They are also very helpful and knowledgeable about all things coffee if you need pointers for brewing better quality stuff at home.

What a lovely place!!! The food is delicious and made with care, the coffee here is so good too its super worth it. My boyfriend and I came in today and we left super duper happy. We had the chai latte (which was super good,) the salmon toast and avocado toast which were really really really really delicious, and we couldnt stop and had a banana chocolate chip muffin AND the BlackBerry fig pastry; oh my gosh SO GOOD 😍. Oh, and you HAVE to get the eggs with the toast. THEYRE POACHED PERFECTLY!!!! PERFECTLY!!!! The ambience and decor is just right :) Lovely place for sure. Wish we lived closer, then we would be coming here all the time! Thank you guys for making our morning beautiful!!

Visiting my old neighborhood, stopped here for a quick breakfast. Best coffee, & my son was thrilled with his swirly topped hot chocolate. Music today was pleasant, & staff were too!

Nothing but great coffee and good vibes here. I got the cappuccino and salmon toast and they were both top notch. Its a little pricey but you absolutely get what you pay for.

I usually love coming here for a different mix than dunkin or Starbucks however I can in for a hot black coffee to go and avacado toast. I got the coffee right away however it took 35 minutes to get the toast so now I’ve just left my coffee is now lukewarm and they didn’t get my toast right, and now I’ll be late to class. Memo of the story stick to the chains unless you want to be disappointed.

Excellent coffee, bake goods, amazing avocado toast. Suggest they address orders on 1st come 1st served basis. Last time I was there for take out, daughters coffee got cold because they served others who came after I placed my order.

Great friendly staff, exceptional Speciality Coffee from Intelligentsia Coffee from Chicago. Small and cozy, wish they had high chairs for that I could go with the whole family. So excited to finally have someone Local that supports the third wave coffee Movement.

Skip the Starbucks and go here instead. I tried the tea, they brewed in fresh in a teacup. Their baked goods are unique and yummy, had a strawberry muffin. After I had sat around there for a while, the barista came around asking if anyone wanted iced tea on the house! It’s not cheap, go to Dunkin’ if you’re in a rush but if you want to enjoy that cup it’s the best place in the neighborhood.

Exceptional across the board! There is always consistency with the quality of service and food presentation and experience. I am officially an iced soy latte junkie! I will never step foot in SBX air DD again! Its been 7 months since my first experience here. What a wonderful establishment and addition! I must admit I have a coffeebox addiction. I havent been able to drink and enjoy coffee since I returned from Italy but here is extremely close!

Great coffees and teas, amazing hot chocolate. They always have almond or soy milk and the baked goods are delicious. All the food is very fresh, the avocado toast is great. The prices are very fair but I wouldn’t suggest coming here if you are on a tight timeline. It’s a small place with just a couple of employees who take the orders and prepare the coffees and the food, so it takes a little while but I don’t mind waiting. The quality is well worth the wait. They have WiFi and it’s a comfortable place to sit and get some work done or meet up with people. Oh and this is one of the best chai lattes I’ve ever had!
