This poor store has so much potential. But you can see they lack help . There is one girl t who has been there now much longer then the others who came and went..Half the time she is the only one on so nothing else can get done. She definitely needs a pay raise. During the summer there was a new manager who appeared to be turning the store around...in a good way. Everything had a place. No boxes on the floor. She drove from New York somewhere, took her a few hours to get to this location. Also had a few good helpers. Now they are no longer working there. Something is terribly wrong. Credit goes to the girl who is there 24/7 trying to stand strong. Im sure the pay is minimum wage unless your a manager. And even then probably a two dollar more then a cashier. Maybe pay more then minimum wage then you may walk into the store without having to open boxes on your own to find what you came for, or without tripping and falling over everything on the floor which then someone is going to get a big check from Family dollar because they didnt have the help to unload their merchandise.

Empty. Really slow. And Cluttered. Could be better. With better Customer Service. Happier Staff. And more Staff on stocking and not leaving the place all messy and things all over the floor where people can get hurt and stuff. They should organize the place a little bit better. Or it would be a lot better store if they did other than that it has a lot of potential if you were to clean it up organize it staff happier and nothing or you can trip and fall and get her and stuff like that cause its so cluttered and unorganized. Thats why Im giving it the 2. Because of the potentially could have other than that its only a one.

Absolutely nothing in the store! 😳 Im not sure how theyre able to afford to keep their doors open.

Disgusting busy store with lots of empty shelves and boxes of product clogging up aisles. Freezer could use a good cleaning. Parking lot is an accident waiting to happen. Foul odor from customers. yuk.

Experience was ok busy, was a lot of customers there. Little hard getting around store, merchandise in isle on floor. Shelves were disarray. Products not priced. Had to keep checking the items myself. But loved the decorations I found for Halloween.

The store in Pittsfield, Ma is disgusting. Its dirty, shelves are empty, no carriages for customers. I couldnt even get a bottle of windex. I will never go there again.

The place is always dirty which is strange because all the free time the staff have. Every time I go there someone is out for a cigarette break or on their phone. Staff can be extremely rude when asked a simple question, like its that hard to answer a question they would know more about. And eating at the register is disgusting when checking people out. I didnt want sticky fingers on something I have to pay for. You dont get this kind of service at rite Aid and they have less staff and they are always helpful and clean.

Good prices, they carry all the household basics. Most of the staff that work there are nice. Its definitely an adventure shopping there to say the least and be cautious of your surroundings.

They have a little bit of everything. The prices are very affordable and they are helpful if you need to find something. Only downside is the checkout line can use improvement. Often, only one cashier for a long line. Otherwise, I love shopping there.

Typical Family Dollar. Decent prices on everyday items, especially if you use their digital coupons. All their stores are messy and dirty because they under staff their stores to Cut costs. Staff is always friendly and helpful, which is impressive since they are clearly over worked and underpaid.

If I could give them less than 1 star right now I would. They just hired a manager who was very rude to me and my child. Because of her I just smiled and said thanks, but please dont be rude so he kicked us out. My tone was low and nice though, his was so rude, I think everyone would have said something. I was too nice considering his tone, words( with swears) and actions. Please family dollar owners be the store you were when you had good employees. They are worth finding!!

This place is a double edged sword. It has just about everything you need and yet it is a cluttered disorganized disaster in there 90% of the time. Prices are great, if youve just moved and need everything one would need, this is the place... Good luck getting to it though. The cashiers are good with good customer service but when there are 4-5 people working and only one runs the register, the line gets long quick. And most people making purchases arent making small ones..... Food for thought.

Normally very disorganized and sloppy, the staff are very friendly though, they have a ton of things you wouldnt expect from a dollar store location so its worth a look.

So many things to buy in this store the people are nicer and friendly, the only thing missing is transportation or a nearby bus but and good propaganda, there could be some commercial polularity wise again its goodplace to have them here because of all the hospitals the color schemes abillboard survives the survey, but its washed away at daytime and there is no enough security and modern commodities to be what its really worth being, the store is always clean and effective, just needs some visual upgrades and other things.

Poor service, the girl didnt know what top cigarette paper was n made a unnecessary comment, l dont smoke thats why l dont know what they are, she asked the same question 3 times, then another unnecessary comment in front of clients, what is it today with everyone with attitude, she should be familiarise with the products u sale, n keep her comments to her self. Sorry but this was my experience today at ur store wish is my favorite for shopping

Store was dirty. I kept tripping on things on the floor. Said something to someone that worked there about how dirty the floor was. She said Well pick up ur feet & learn how to walk. I will not be back!

I was at the family dollar store at 631 North st Pittsfield ma..01201....I was there at the store around 3p.m...on 12/24/16...there was two cashiers checking out. One was a woman and the other was a young man. I went threw the the young mans line. He was very plesent, smiling, he wished me merry Christmas... He was a very nice young man and I feel a asset to that store. The other cashier was a African american woman....my son ( who is Autistic) was waiting for me to pay for my mechadise. All of a sudden I bear this woman( the other cashier) say to my son you just came back here and took money off my register. So I asked my son what was in his hand. He showed me a penny and said he found it on the floor. And he did not go near the register. I apologized to her and gave her. The penny back and told the cashier thaty son has autism and dident mean to take it. The cashier them began to scream at me saying to me in front of all the customers .. Well if your son has autism then you need to watch him in the store! I told her i had been paying for our purchase when he picked up the penny. She then proceeded to yell at me that I wasent watching my son...and to get out of her store.then she was telling everyone in the line in a very loud voice that..he has autism! And she cant watch him?!! ( my son was standing there the whole time with all of this going on in front of him) my son and I have never been so humiliated!!!!! I want something done about this matter and I will not let it rest until something is done about this. I will be calling the district manager of the store and speaking to them about this!! If nothing gets done I will take it a step further unt something does get done about this worker!!! My advice is do not visit the family dollar on North st in Pittsfield ma.... There customer relations s are very poor. I do not understand why this company has a woman like this working for them.

I enjoyed the lady at the register she was very friendly.However it is very crowed in the aisles and several prices were wrong to what I paid for.Unhappy about this I spent an xtra 10 do to this!!

Place is messy and dirty product all over the place still in boxes from the delivery truck. If your walking and want two bags to carry heavy stuff such as a 2 liter bottle of pop they refuse to give two bags saying corporate doesnt allow them to give two bags for a product. Nasty place dont go there.

I come in here at least 3-4 times a week. Both there is always merchandise blocking the isles and never any milk available

I try to avoid going because there is boxes every where and you can barely get down the store aisles.
