Olga is an amazing teacher and musician. I studied cello at a university and her knowledge and teaching was far superior than what I received at school and i would often go to her for instruction while preparing for a recital or chamber performance. She has an expert ear for musicality and flawless technique that she is able to communicate to her students in order to help them to achieve their goals and solve whatever technical challenges they may be facing.
I have been subscribing to Olga’s online instruction videos since I began taking lessons with her nearly five years ago. I’ve found that these videos are essential to supplement the lessons, as we cover so much in the lessons that it is difficult to remember. It is wonderful to have the videos to reference back to after the lesson. In addition to this, I’ve found I have been able to accelerate my learning by taking advantage of all of the additional lessons she has available such as arpeggios, scales, double stops, etc - the list continues to grow as she adds more and more videos. They provide a comprehensive, step by step guide to systematically learn to play the cello. Olga is not only a brilliant musician, but a phenomenal instructor as well - and she has built a video repository of unparalleled knowledge and instruction for her students. I am truly thankful to have this unique resource available to me!
Our son started online lessons with Mrs. Olga four years ago. At first as a solution to not having a cello teacher on the Greek island where we live. We never expected such great results. Our son passed first in the music school he is now studying and although he is fully teached there, we are still continuing our lessons with Mrs. Olga and consider her his major teacher. She is doing wonders with him. She really has so much to give. She is an excellent teacher and also has a great talent to communicate through the difficult online environment. She doesn’t miss a thing and she really gets her message through to her student. We consider ourselves very lucky to have her as a teacher and we highly recommend her.
Olga has been my cello teacher for over five years now and she is simply extraordinary. I have taken lessons from her both in person and on Skype and there is literally no difference in terms of quality. She is extremely knowledgeable and patient, dedicated to her students, and passionate about their success. I cannot recommend her highly enough!
Ive been a student of Olgas for a little over four years now. I meet with her once a week via Skype so it is a very convenient method to get instruction from such an accomplished cellist. Olga truly cares about the advancement of her students and I couldnt be happier that I found a teacher like her!
I have been a cello student with Olga Redkina for seven years. I look forward to my weekly lesson with Olga. She is a clear communicator and always finds a way to help me accomplish whatever skill we are addressing. When I started lessons with Olga, i was a complete beginner. Because of her teaching, I am accomplishing my dream of playing the cello and I am proud of my progress. She individualizes her teaching plan for each student, and while she is patient, she is never complacent! She encourages me to dig deeper and to be better, and she gives me the tools to do it. I give virtual lessons with Olga Redkina my highest recommendation.
My daughter has taken lessons via Skype with Olga for over four years and loves it. I love that if she has a question or forgets something in between lessons, we can look it up in the video library immediately to make sure she is practicing correctly.
I have seen Olga Redkina teach cello students of all skill levels for many years. She is a wonderful teacher who gets results - if you are willing to work as a student. Her online cello lesson curriculum is a great way to practice between lessons and performances, and her virtual lessons offered over Skype mean that you can get world-class cello instruction from anywhere in the world. The results speak for themselves, with several students achieving their dreams of joining prominent orchestras after years of hard work and practice. I would not hesitate to recommend her to any musician friends looking to improve their cello skills.
Olga is a wonderful cello teacher. I took years of Skype lessons with her when I lived in Japan - a 13 hour difference. She always adjusts her schedule to accomodate all of her students worldwide even if she has to get up at 6 AM. I currently subscribe to Olgas online lessons - she has so many detailed technique videos on a variety or literature and selects exercises to focus on various bow strokes and left hand shifting techniques, intonation, vibrato, etc. Olga is a terrific teacher and I owe her a lot for everything she has taught me over the years.
It doesnt have enough video lessons. I can find only a few available. Im disappointed. I will not recommend this anyone. cheap price explains it well.
I have been taking video lessons with Olga for a few years and have made great progress. Shes a wonderful teacher!
My daughter and I have been taking online lessons with Olga for nearly two years now, and it has been a fantastic experience! My daughter was only 8 when we started, and we were both brand-new cellists, as well, so I was a little apprehensive about taking lessons over Skype, but Olga has plenty of experience teaching both adults and kids this way, so it has worked out well. One great feature of our lessons is how easy it is to schedule and take them — Olga is flexible and available at far more convenient times than most in-person instructors, and the location (our living room!) can’t be beat. No driving, no keeping my younger kid occupied, and no loitering in a hot car outside the teacher’s house! Just the savings on gasoline alone adds up to a considerable amount over a year. The best feature, though, is how Olga adapts her style to suit the needs of her student; she has worked wonders with my often-prickly young daughter (and my own stubborn self) in coaxing us through the difficult early phases of music lessons without sacrificing rigor. Unlike many other teachers, such as the woodwind teachers I studied with as a child, she insists on building a firm foundation in the basics from the very beginning, refusing to let us develop bad habits that might seem easier or harmless now, but which would hamper our learning down the road. Although meticulous and demanding consistent application of effort from her students, she is nonetheless patient and kind as well, never discouraging us or losing her temper. In short, signing up for lessons with Olga was a fantastic choice for us, and I can’t thank her enough for how much my daughter and I have learned!
I was very apprehensive of trying cello lessons online, but after 3 years with Olga, I have to say its great. Im in Paris, shes in the US, but she doesnt miss a thing -- even though sometimes I wish she would! Martine
