I really liked my visit to The Summit! The food and drinks were all good, however I would say that I feel like they’re trying too hard to make their drinks seem edgy and cool. Maybe that’s just me not loving herbal drink flavors or maybe I just don’t get it, but it feels like they try to add random ingredients in for the sake of making it unique or higher class. Again, I really enjoyed myself but something about it felt a little forced. Love the hot cider for fall!

The only reason I say 4 out of 5 is because I didn’t get to try the food, and I am looking forward to going back to change that. From the perspective of enjoying craft cocktails, this spot is extremely solid and innovative in what they share on the menu. I loved their Mezcal drink and highly recommend.Vibes are very industrial but lounge like so you can go on a date, stop in after work or spend time with friends here. All good choices.If you leave and walk a block toward Grandview Avenue you will get a great view of the city of Pittsburgh.Cheers

Of all the places I like to go to while visiting this beautiful city, The Summit is definitely number one. Drinks and Food that not only stands out but is consistently amazing. Cocktails here are my favorite and you cannot have JUST ONE. I am so happy to see that this place is still around after the crazy year we had.

This is my favorite bar in the world. The cocktails are consistently the best I’ve had! The staff is also friendly and attentive, and the ambiance makes it the perfect spot for a date night or relaxed evening with friends.

My husband and I always make a trip to this restaurant when we are in town. Their knowledge of spirits is incredible and all the cocktails are well rounded. During our latest visit, our waitress, Mo, absolutely MADE the night even better than it usually is with her kind smile and genuinely excited personality. I love this place. Always recommend it.

Well curated beer list and nice cocktails. Small menu of mostly appetizers. Did not order food, but everything looked very good.

Such a lovely and cute corner joint. Id say its more a drinx/cocktail spot and snack bar than restaurant or pub. Perhaps more like a lounge, actually. Good music, great atmosphere, fantastic service and the dishes (sized to share) are so bloody tasty. Cant wait to spend more time here once we move to the hood for good. 😍

Really awesome place. Has some of the most creative drinks on their “Kid’s Menu” and a great selection of beers including sours. Highly recommend. We got the anaconda deviled egg app and it was delicious. The Cool Ranch Bloody Mary is fantastic.

I love the atmosphere as soon I walked in.The place opens at 5 pm; it was a sunday and at 5:20 when I walked in; and it was pretty full. That was a great first impression.Really good cocktails, good looking menu options, the staff super friendly and chill. No hassle at any point, and very casua place.The atmosphere was relaxing, and had some bites that make me want to come back.In fact, Ill be back on my next visit to the city.

I always enjoy stopping there for a beer or two. Nice, classy place, with a good staff. You feel like you not in Pittsburgh, and you are, all at the same time.

Cool bar, cooler bartenders. Signature cocktails rotate every two months and are definitely worth a try. Ordered the Bonnie McMurray and Old Fashioned followed by two mystery beers which were paired to fit the flavor profile of each cocktail. Pictured is the Bonnie McMurray.

Favorite cocktail bar in the city! The staff is just absolutely wonderful and take such good care of you. The food menu is limited but fantastic; Ive never had a bad meal here! I come back often, and for good reason!

Fun place for good drinks not the Miller lite specials like other bars. Bartenders really know their drinks. Make sure you grab the giant Jenga blocks to get people playing and mixing it up.

Awesome experience. We had Leila as our server. Friendly, wanted to make sure we were taken care of and provided some great recommendations. If youre a red blooded American, get the noodle bowl and veggie chili. The beers were awesome as well, too many to count. Something for everyone!

Really fantastic local place, unassuming with great food and staff. They were slammed and Mo, our most excellent server she did a stellar job. My first time to Pittsburgh area and it was the best.

All their cocktails were creative and refreshing - special shouts to the Earl Grey caipirinha.

The Summit is my favorite bar in Pittsburgh. I stop in about once a week. They have a tasty menu and a unique cocktail list. One of the servers that works most nights is quite bubbly and fun. She always offers incredible service. All of the bartenders are friendly and sociable as well! I highly recommend this spot.

Found some ultra rare beers here. Food is inconsistent, but great.

The entire establishment has very poor lighting. Cant even read the menu which isnt very exciting at all not to mention way overpriced .Staff was less than enthusiastic and food was bland .We did mention this to the server whom didnt even ask how to fix the issue and or get a manager involved.Went across the street to get some quality food at a affordable price.Dont waste your time or $ at this place

Great bar with an outstanding happy hour! Interesting cocktails/appetizers/small plates. Limited seating so can get crowded during peak times- the nearby parking lot is currently under construction (supposed to be finished Oct.1).Theyre getting competition from a new spot that opened a block away, but this place feels a less trendy. Service is excellent, and its 100 yards (or less) to the Mon Incline and spectacular views of Pittsburgh. Go!

This is an example of Google knows me more than I know myself. we wanted to see the view of all Pittsburgh and this popped up as a place I would like, so I convinced my boyfriend and we went and it did not disappoint. The cocktails were amazing and worth the price. we had the chipotle chicken dip and it was so delicious we wish we could have had more. I highly recommend going up and checking out the views then stopping in for a drink and a snack because it is worth it.

A must visit when visiting Pittsburgh. Excellent beer selection. Friendly people. And I had an awesome burger.

Came here over the weekend and was expecting pho but was disappointed in everything I tried from the scallops to the jerk chicken spinach dip. I think this place does seasonal and last time I came here it was excellent. My boyfriend swears by the old fashions but for the money I expected better food.

Packed on a Saturday night, but the place has a great atmosphere and is in a really nice location at the top of the incline. Spiked hot apple cider was fantastic for a chilly fall evening!

This place is aptly named. It was the height of my Pittsburgh visit. I took my older boss/mentor here, and he had a great time! The food and drinks were amazing. Some of the best combinations of flavors I have ever had. The bill was also really reasonable. 5/5 go to the Summit.

Ive been to this spot and really enjoyed it both times. The second time better because the music was better. Good beer selection with a great happy hour. The ambiance is great and they open the windows in the warm weather months... great for relaxing with a beer, having a good conversation, or trying to impress a date. The location is one block away from one of Pittsburghs overlooks and one of the inclines. The parking is not always easy, but its worth walking a little.

Hands down the best place to hang in the city. Great cocktails. Better staff. No negative energy. Great place to bring a date, sit alone and meet someone new, listen to good tunes, and not stare at a TV.

I really wanted to like this place more. The drinks and atmosphere are top notch. However, the space is cramped. Its exacerbated by an unnecessary DJ taking up 1/5th of the room...

The tomato toast was excellent as well as the cocktails. Nice relaxed atmosphere and the staff was helpful and enthusiastic with recommendations. Popcorn was very garlicky - tasty, but makes you really want a mint afterwards.

Excellent service, cheese plate and local vibes. When I make it make it back I intend to spend a lot more time enjoying the wide range of beers on tap. Its the perfect way to wind down a Sunday.

Good experience, we came in late after a Penguins game, we were treated with a great experience and the bar staff was knowledgeable about the available products.

Take it from a Mt. Washington resident, if you have not been here, go NOW. Well, they open at 5p every day, so if its before 5, dont go just yet :) Best beer and cocktail menu on the Mount. Great, but fairly small, food menu. Cocktail and food menus change seasonally and are always spectacular. Excellent and reliable service. Summit is a small place, but with the dim lighting you get a very intimate setting. I see a lot of first dates occurring here, if that helps you get the vibe. I always go by myself for happy hour though, so feel free to go alone too. No wrong way to go to Summit.

This is a small place with a lot of character. Everything we have ordered here has been good quality. I also really like that you can get popcorn to snack on with your drinks.

Moe is probably the most fantastic waitress of all time. She has an amazing knowledge of all menu items, and can reccomend anything for your particular mood at the time. The vibe is incredible and can easily be changed for any occasion. Whether you want to dress up, or wear flannels, this is the perfect place to score an amazing array of creative cocktails, or munch on delicious bites.

Couldnt ask for nicer bartenders. Got to try a mexcal drink that one of the bartenders crafted themselves! Great spot for a quickie or a chill session

Oh my!!!! I love this place! Great relaxing and fun atmosphere. Really fun artwork on the walls and in the bathrooms and the best drinks in the burgh. Bartenders are knowledgeable and fun to be around. Every time I go there I have a blast! Also, the clientele has been very interesting. Definitely not your typical bar!

The atmosphere is well done, but the food failed. The waitress recommended the burger, also saying that they do not cook anything under medium well. The burger came and it was very dry, it was tough, the bun was very plain-tasting and rubbery, and even the fries didnt taste right. Maybe they doused the fries in vinegar? The service was great, but the burger was one of the worst I ever had in my life and my stomach was upset the rest of the night (not food poisoning, just awful, like I ate a boot).

The summit is great. The atmosphere is relaxed and classy. The cocktails and beer selection is awesome, and Moe the waitress is 10/10!!

Cozy cocktail bar in Mt. Washington. Cozy atmosphere, jazzy dj, and funky art. I didnt get a chance to eat, but the drink menu is nice. Nice selection of wine, shirts, beer, and craft cocktails. The bathrooms are downstairs and I did not see an elevator, incase your handicapped. Service was okay.

Wow. Just WOW. Great food, great crowd, walk a few hundred feet to the best view on earth, and did I mention Deep House Tuesdays with Hot Honey is the most slept on dance music event in the Burgh. Tried--and loved--the Yinzer Steamed Buns. Also, hands down the best fries in Planet Earth. Better than Potato Patch @ Kennywood. Mic Drop.

If you like hipster things 4.5 🌟. If youre looking for a wide array of craft beer 4.5 🌟. If youre looking for a roomy place well look somewhere else. Seating is not ideal. Burger and fries were 👌. Brussel sprouts were not bad either. Was not thrilled with the service however. Could be been a bad day I guess.

Of my favorite places in Pittsburgh to get a cocktail. Mixologists here are friendly and knowledgeable and drinks are always top notch. Never had a bad drink here! Vibe is relaxed and refined.
