I have always had a place in my heart for the ol Busy Beaver. Even if I cant find what I want or the selection is lacking, the straightforward no-frills atmosphere is a comfort. Its a place where the employees always ask if you need anything with sincerity - which is far more impressive than any experience Ive ever had at Home Depot where finding help turns into some kind of epic quest. I have no complaints at all aside from the unfortunate color clash combination of red and khaki you require your employees to wear. That uniform is a crime and your employees deserve better.

Busy Beaver of Crafton said they had hoodies for sale and most of the hoodies didnt even have hoodies on then and the pull cords were missing also!!!!

Busy Beaver is a great local place that has many of the items you look for and need it quick. I like the people who work there and have gotten to know them by name and they are always really helpful. Beats driving out to another place.

Cashier Vanessa was very unprofessional and didnt seem to know what she was doing with something as simple as typing. however the store and everybody else in it was very helpful and very delightful. I just wish there was a different cashier.

They have no inventory that is a joke store I would highly suggest do not visit they have nothing they had no common plumbing parts shelves were bare I was very very disappointed they need to close those doors

They are a little more expensive than Lowes but they are super close they provide excellent customer service and even the mgr comes to the floor to help on the floor when its busy and they have a pretty big selection!!!!

Most of the outdoor flowers are dead currently. I dont think anyone waters them. Looking for someone to help you is kinda impossible.

Fine enough selection, but terrible service. If you dont know exactly what youre looking for or where it is, go to Lowes where youll actually get some help (and pay less for it anyway). Also, special warning against trying to get an install of any sort as well. Ive been waiting about 6 months since first making the initial payment on a screen door. Still no screen door... Avoid this place.

A small hardware and lumber store that is convenient for locals but doesnt have the variety, volume or low pricing as the larger chains. The staff there, the minimal amout they have are very friendly and helpful. There is often just one register open so there is often a wait to get rung up. However, for the locals, it beats having to fight the traffic at the shopping centers where the larger chain stores are located.

I go here because its close, not because there is a great selection of quality anything or for the prices. Over the past year or so this place has been regularly understaffed and has less and less items for sale. It looks like its going to close any time now. I will say that if you can find someone working to help you they are friendly and help as much as they can with the limited stock on hand. Great people, but a C- store.

The ppl are friendly and helpful, but the cashiers are slow, there is always only one, and you end up waiting 30 minutes to get 1 item.

Doors going in should be self operated i have power wheel chair very hard to go in otherwise great store

I have to know, how do you stay in business?I go into this location yesterday and the place has this going out of business vibe, most shelves are not stock and the place is filthy. All across the store I see stock siting on the bottom shelfs below the hooks not stocked and covered in a thick layer of dust. I go to another part and see items stocked in the wrong locations and again covered a think layer of dust. It also feels that a lot of their inventory has been siting there for awhile just by the condition of the packaging, incorrect prices and again...the dust. The employees also avoid you and when you manage get their attention they are not very helpful and quickly disperse afterwards or leave you waiting. Not a good experience at all.The cashiers were both very nice however which is why Im giving a two star.

We live close by and in the middle of a project its nice to pop in to maybe find a part.But the store has been a huge mess items on floor if your lucky to find a sales associate on the floor theyre very rude and never have item in stock.There is just a nice cashier whom a young lady with glasses, but everyone else the past five visits,( given chances everyone has bad day,) is extreamly rude and store us a mess. They need just to hire a person to keep stock accurate and clean up and the whole team needs customer service class in manners.We will be going the extra mile to Lowes .

There is a True Value sign on the outside. Got keys cut, found door rugs. Lots of outdoor decorations too.

Things are never priced and it is always a mess.

I stood at the lumber department for 15mins waiting to speak to Bob the assistant manager to buy some lumber. Even though he was with someone at that time, he still didnt recognize me as a customer.( I dont know Bob. Im speaking as customer service.) He didnt pause or ask someone else to help me. The worse place to go and shop as a hardware store. Customer service is very poor. I recommend Lowes.

I want to be able to say great things about this store, but it is dirty and poorly laid out and worse stocked and I couldnt find any staff to help me. But, once I found what I came for, the deals were better than fair.

Busy Beaver is a good basic home improvement store. They have everything you need but maybe not all the options. The prices are reasonable and sometimes you can find a good deal in the bargain bins. The staff is always friendly and willing to help.

The cashier Anthony was excellent. But I tripped over a box and twisted my knee and the ladder almost fell on my head employees didnt help

Understaffed and no tint to make paint the color customers want. Had to drive to another Busy Beaver that couldnt believe the other store would let themselves run out of tint.

Always a stop when in the area.for what we need at home.

Great service but had very few of the promo flower baskets that were advertised.

I went in for three items snd left with one. I was surprised at how bare the tool aisle is. Not one hacksaw to be found.

I love this Hometown Store. I wish you could come back to its days of Glory but it cant. Still nice people some great deals selection is a little mediocre. But for paint brushes electrical the things you need for maintaining a house, still great store I wish it well.

Very good homeware store that always has everything I need. I appreciate the staff and how they handled my return of a product I unfortunately bought broken. They were able to process a refund and have a new working product brought right to my vehichle for pick up. Thank you Crafton Busy Beaver you managers do care about good customer service and it shows.

Quick in and out grabbed lumber and a saw blade.

Convenient located but you pay for that. Most items can be bought elsewhere for a few dollars less and selection is very limited. Works in a pinch but if I had a big project I would go somewhere else.

Ive had some great finds here, but the sales can be misleading. They have been very busy this spring and can run our of products.

The place is run down and there isnt an automatic entrance door. Its very awkward if youre buying plants You have to maneuver your cart through the heavy doors to get to the check stand.Some of the staff are helpful and knowledgeable, others arent. Its very hit or miss.They dont dust their shelves. Ive gotten my hands dirty taking items off the shelf.I shop there because its close to my house I wish it was run like Rolliers in Mt Lebanon. That place is awesome. Busy Beaver management should get busy and check out their competitor and take a lesson from a company that does it right.

I give them no srars ask the man for oil for my lawn mower he said yes to 2 cycle oil.....if i would of put that in my lawnmower i would of ruined my mower....you would think they would of known...now they are closed

Awful. Sales person very rude. More worried about talking with associates and going to lunch than getting at least a $100+ sale. Wont be going back there anymore. Will go miles out of my way to one at the other stores.

Busy Beaver is a great little alternative to the big box stores. The staff is usually able to lead you in the right direction, however buy power tools somewhere else because what they have is usually not very high quality. I like BB for the select pine they typically have in stock is straight as an arrow. Something you have to search for in other stores.

I went there on a Monday after work and got in and out quickly after placing an order for custom doors. It was a quick and efficient experience.

The staff is always helpful and the check out is quick and efficient. It is a very customer focused store.

Pretty good prices. Not tons of staff to ask questions, but if you know what you need, you can get a good deal (better than more famous chain home improvement stores).

Stopped in today and bought a gazzebo. Customer service was excellent. We put up the gazzebo but a part was missing. We called and they imediately took care of it. Thank you Busy Beaver!

Our Busy Beaver Lumber/Hardware store in Crafton, PA is just close by. Theyre a bit pricey compared to Lowes, Home Depot and True Value stores. Theyre just close by.

Its very close for me, but sometimes they are out of things. Some staff are nice and some arent so much.

Terrible store. Employees are always miserable and I dont ever fell like they are willing to help you with anything. Pay attention to your receipt, several times i have gotten home and noticed that an item was rung up incorrectly. Would rather go to Home Depot or Lowes.

The employees are rude, slow and unprofessional. The quality of the merchandise is low. I live 5 minutes away but drive to Home Depot in Robinson just to avoid the hassle. I have done 2 home renovations in the neighborhood and cant think of one positive experience I have had there.

I called to ask about their plant selection and they couldn’t tell me for sure even though I explained that I would be walking there and didn’t want to make an extra trip. Very rude and unhelpful.

I lyke that its an alternative place, but I wish they cut wood. Really hard to compete with the bigger brands when they dont do such a service.

If you would like beyond sub par service combined with sub par products this is the store for you. It amazes me how this stores stays in business.
