Besco offers mower sharpening at a great price! They have a surcharge if you bring in the whole mower instead of just the blade but I feel thats reasonable for the extra work and possible liability. I will be back every year for blade sharpening for my electric mower!

Awesome service! I took my Mclane reel mower in for sharpening and told Cory it was running OK and just needed sharpening. After Cory started working on it he noticed the bed knife was off by about 1/4”. He adjusted that and decided to inspect the engine. He discovered the teeth on the jack shaft were worn down and replaced that using a good used one he had in the shop which saved me a lot of money. He noticed the air filter was clogged (oops- I thought I replaced that), the gas tank had grass & goo inside it and I can’t remember what else.He fixed all that and also threw in a new spark plug and oil change for no charge.I didn’t know they had free pickup and delivery until he offered to drop it off at my house! Nobody else does that today but I sure do appreciate it.While dropping it off, he told me about a better choice for gasoline instead of auto gas which I now have on order. The mower now runs and cuts better than it has in many years. The folks at Besco have better customer service than any place I have dealt with in a very long time and their prices are reasonable and competitive.I will be returning here for all my equipment service needs.

First visit to this establishment, 5 star rating appears to be well worth the wait. Very cordial and professional staff at the counter and on the phone. It did take 2 weeks to get my mower back but that was the timeline I was given when I dropped it off. They are extremely busy and full of equipment in the shop.Shop was easy to find using GPS from street and easy to get in and out of.If I need this type of service in the future I will definately return. I will also be happy to recommend them to any of my friends that inquire.

Not too many shops in the Valley still service reel mowers - fortunately these folks do! After a multi-shop runaround (with the mower in my Jeep) I finally ended up at Besco. A friendly guy helped me to unload the equipment and gave me a very reasonable quote for a complete tune-up and sharpening. The job took a little longer than expected (these guys are busy!) but they delivered it for free - and it purrs like a kitten and cuts like butter! When I had the pleasure of meeting the actual owners (they delivered my mower) it was obvious that they took a lot of pride in their business. If you have a reel mower - this is the place to take it.

I went into this shop in a dress 6 sizes too big driving a junk car. My mower was carefully lifted from the car. I probably have never been treated with more respect than these people gave me. And a price that was cheaper than any Ive ever come across. I would recommend them to everybody. Then I definitely would go back there again.

If I could start by saying the guy I talked to was extremely rude. In the middle of my question I was cut off and talked down to. I have worked in customer service my whole life, its the up most important thing to run a business. Based on just a phone conversation I rate 0 stars. I would recommend not spending any money or any time with Besco Equipment company. And good luck to Besco if all your employees are the same! I will make sure to put this experience on all my social media sites as well.

Avoid this place at all cost!!! This guy is a scam con/ rip-off artist. He sold me the new Briggs & Stratton motor and convinced me it would be so much better than my 1970s motor that I wanted to have rebuilt. it started with me using it one time and then having to return because the motor didnt work on my second attempt to mow my lawn. The guy claimed it needed a tune-up already. This happened three times in a row before I discovered he was only replacing the air filter. After about 10 uses total the motor seized up on me. The same motor he recommended. Do not go to this place whatever you do! youve been warned!!!

Dropped off a line trimmer for repair on 09/03 and the gentleman let me know it would be about 10 days to 2 weeks. Ok, no problem. Called to check the status after 3 weeks, and the lady that answered the phone let me know it wasnt ready but would be by the end of the week (I called on a Monday). After a month of radio silence, I finally went in and picked up my equipment that still hadnt been touched.Dont waste your time here. Theyre either too busy or just dont care enough to fix your equipment in a reasonable amount of time.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Our lawnmower was picked up from our home, which was nice and convenient. We were told it would be 7 days till it was ready. On the 7th day, we had no contact from Besco. My wife contacted them only to hear that they are backed up and our mower would not be ready for at least a few more days. When pressed about it, the person was rude and indicated he would put in a rush for our mower. Well how can it be a rush, when it was promised on this day last week??? Today, they actually checked the mower and advised it was beyond repair and not worth it. He then advised that normal there was a $150 minimum for pickup and drop off, yet our original quote was for $95. Worst customer service experience Ive ever had. Save your money and go elsewhere.

I wish I had of read the reviews online before I took my pressure washer and for them to service it. 3 months later after the replace the pump on my pressure washer the compression went low I called them and told them they told me to bring it in and we will have a look at it then later on they call me and tell me that is not under warranty because I use it for commercial use if thats the case you should have told me that before I replaced the pressure washer they found every excuse to say my warranty was no longer valid and tried to charge me another hundred and fifty to replace it

Glad I didnt spend any money with this guy. I went in thinking he was a friendly old school lawn repair shop and received the complete opposite. You know its bad when a shop is right down the street yet youd rather drive 20 miles away to have good service. He was irritated that I asked him a few questions about my lawnmower so I decided to just leave.

This place is awesome I took my 27 year old craftsmen mower in to BESCO with little hope of it being fix after going to 3 other shops and was told to trash it by all (guess they didnt wanna work on the old thing ) but pulled up to besco and was greeted with a smile form a big guy he walked with me to my truck and took one look and said he would fix it and it would look new after he was done I asked how much would it cost he replied 95$ for all the work (carb job, spark plus, air filter gas, oil, blade sharpened and cleaned) was told it would be 7 to 10 days. I was called back in 5 day by cody saying that she was ready to go I rushed there and OMG it was like it was brand new all over again it runs better then ever I will bring this old girl back every year just to keep it going best deal for the money hands down telling all my friends and family about this small family shop

This company is local to my area so I decided to give him a try. He tuned up my Weedeater and my Leafblower for the amazing price of $ 85.00 EACH...I used my Weedeater just 1 time, then it would not remain running..I took it back for him to fix it and he proceeded to tell me I cannot leave gas in it and that it would cost me ANOTHER $ 75.00.. I am definitely calling B.S. and will not be taking any more of my equipment there EVER again..

Equipment: May 9th 1977 McLane 3HP Reel MowerProblems: Ignition system failure, Pull start system failure, carb gasket failure, choke linkage missing, blade clutch rod missing, belt guard missing (destroyed belt), blades dull, bed knife dull, oil filter dirty and plugged up, oil change neededQuote: $350.00 - Parts and laborPayment Method: Credit Card - VISAPurchased an old McLane (1977) that BARELY ran from an older couple out in Sun City. After messing around with it for a few hours, I decided to hit up Best Brothers for replacement choke linkage and a few carb gaskets. Long story short, I was sold the wrong parts, and lose $30.00, needless to say I wont be going back there.Disheartened, I sought out help on the almighty Google, which lead me to Besco. Later that day I have Besco a call to see if they could help me out, I lady with a very nice voice answered the phone, informed me that they work on mowers like mine almost every day, was very straight forward and reasonable with the price quote for a tuneup AND also offer pickup and delivery.Besco came out and picked my lawnmower up the very next day. I decided to swing by the shop to say hi to everyone and drop off a few extra parts I had laying around, the shop was easy to find, and everyone inside was very personable. After a few minutes of chatting with the gal up front, she had me come back and talk to Charlie.Charlie greeted me with a smile, and asked what I was looking to have done on the mower besides the tune-up, I said I want this thing to look and run like as if I bought it back in 1977., Charlie let me know that the services required to make that happen were going to raise the price but that he can and will do it. Price ended up being a little extra, we shook hands and a week later Charlie calls me to let me know hes going to drop it off and that it runs perfectly now.Id like to also mention that I could not come down to the store to make my payment so Charlie willingly took the payment over the phone with my VISA information, seamless, ultra easy process. And Charlie was right. This old 77 runs on the first pull every single time. The mower is powerful, cuts evenly, doesnt smoke, and most importantly, now has all the linkage it needs to run properly.I highly recommend Besco Equipment Repair for all lawn mower/small engine repair needs. Charlie and his crew went above and beyond with this one, I cant speak highly enough of them.Bottom Line: Worth every penny
