Mari did an amazing job with my dress! I bought a sample gown that was roughly 2 sizes too big and has intricate lace work. She was able to preserve the details of the lace and made it fit like it was made for me. She also worked with me to incorporate pieces of my moms wedding dress. Her prices are a steal for how amazing her work is and she had it done in under two months. I would definitely recommend her!

Mari did an amazing job on my dress alterations! I had bought my dress at a local bridal discount store and the dress was a size 12 while I typically wear a 2 or 4. I also wanted to alter the dress from flutter sleeves to a much more simple straps and add a bustle. My dress was entirely lace. She made the dress fit like a glove and you could not even tell where she had hemmed and taken it in. Her prices were competitive, if not better than several others in the area. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for bridal alterations. Mari made me love my dress even more!

Mari did a great job with my dress that needed to be removed. My dress was not easy to change, the skirt is about 10 layers of organza and lace and the bodice is lace. He got the perfect length and after two adjustment! all the alterations of my dress came out a little less than the quotations I got from other seamstresses. It all took three weeks, but if it had not been so demanding, I could definitely have done it all in two weeks!I would recommend her with enthusiasm to anyone. Try them for yourself!

Came to Mari to add full-length sleeves to my wedding dress that I bought at David’s Bridal. Other independent alterations places quoted $500+ with needing 1-2 months to complete, and David’s Bridal initially said they could do it (before buying the dress) and then said they couldn’t do it (after buying the dress)... Mari truly saved my dress, and for only $80 and in less than 1 month! She works quickly (each of my appointments needed less than 30 mins whereas at other places it was 1-2 hours and they got nothing done) and the result is AMAZING! Definitely recommending her to other brides!! She also shortened my sister’s bridesmaid gown for about $60 with 1 week turnaround!! Totally blown away by my experience!

I went to Mari to get a second opinion and they were able to adapt my dress. I went to another place first and they made me feel fat and they told me they could not help. That dress was not for me. Mari said it took a few seconds to think about how to adjust my dress. she said you only had a short torso and I found a different way to adjust my dress. Was so happy! she will continue to obtain my business. The quality of their work is very good. . Magnificent work and very profecional!! Had made here the modifications of my wedding dress? Mari made sure to spend as much time and attention as she could to make sure my dress was perfect for the wedding day. Mari is amazing! She did a beautiful job on the alterations for my bridesmaid dress and she was very fast and reasonably priced. I had an emergency and needed additional last minute(2 days before the wedding last minute) alterations and she was able to accommodate me even though she also had an emergency and was going out of town. I took my bridal dress in to be taken in and hemmed and Mari did a very good job. I wasnt sure what to expect when I walked in, but she knew immediately what needed to be done to my dress as soon as I tried it on, I didnt even need to tell her. Mari did a beautiful job on my wifes wedding gown and she also did the alterations for all of her bridesmaid dresses. She also was very friendly and made us both feel so welcome... She shortened the sleeves on my suit and made a beautiful veil for my wife from scratch. Her prices are extremely fair and she goes the extra mile to make sure youre satisfied without any extra charges. Our wedding was just weeks away and my wife changed her mind and got a new dress and we were looking for a seamstress that could do the alterations within 2 weeks and Mari did a superb job. She really is the best and we cant thank her enough.

If it was an option, I would give Mari 10 stars! She is absolutely wonderful and does beautiful work! My daughters dress needed side alterations a hem and a bustle. We were on a time crunch and having a difficult time with a dress shop in the east valley. Maris turnaround was less than a month. My daughter even needed a cathedral veil. Mari went above and beyond to make my daughters veil. Her dress and veil were absolutely stunning! We live in the east valley and were hesitant to drive so far, but working with Mari was well worth the drive. Her prices are extremely reasonable and I would highly recommend her to anyone. After being disappointed with a bridal store in the east valley, we walked into Maris home and immediately felt at ease. It was very evident that she cared about our situation and that she was going to do everything possible to have my daughters dress and veil done on time. Thank you Mari for turning what had become a nightmare for us into a wonderful experience. My daughter was married last weekend and she looked absolutely beautiful in her dress and veil. She did an amazing job with my dress. She was also very helpful since I got pregnant while she was going to work on my dress. I trusted her with my dress and I would absolutely recommend her to anyone. She was willing to work with my dress a few weeks before since my weight was fluctuating. Unlike other places wanted a set weight three months before. She did a beautiful French something so my dress wouldn’t get dirty during reception. I was very comfortable leaving my dress with her. She gave me so many tips. She also cut my sleeves and used the remainder of the sleeves to accessorize my shoes that were plain. My dress had a lot of detail she kept the integrity of my dress and it fit beautifully on my wedding day. She was also very friendly.

Mari at a Touch of Class Alterations was amazing!!! I found her by reading her previous reviews and was so impressed that I couldnt pass her up! I took my dress in and she made the necessary adjustments. Within two weeks she was done! I tried it on and if anything else needed to be tweaked, she did so. I was so happy and she was so sweet! I tried my dress on monthly after she was done with it and ONE WEEK before my wedding tried it on for the last time and I had lost weight from stress. I was freaking out, but emailed her on a Saturday night and she reaponded within 20 minutes and got me in on Monday! She made her adjustments and I picked up the dress on Thursday and it fit like a glove!!!! Her prices are better than anyone out there and her quality and professionalism is out of this world!!! Love her and would use her again in a heartbeat!

I went to Mari based on the stellar rave reviews and was impressed by her custom gowns and her as a person. She was very friendly and professional and I had total faith in her skills. So I was very surprised by the final results. My dress was hemmed to a length that I feel looks awkwardly short. I know this is partly my fault for not insisting on spending more time discussing my exact vision and I probably should have insisted she pin the whole thing instead of just the one pin she did to indicate the length. I was also surprised that she did not iron or steam the dress. Several parts of the hem were flipped up and once I ironed the whole skirt it fell MUCH better-I was surprised that a professional would not want to present the best final product possible; the short hem was much less awkward after a simple iron. One of the main things I went to her for was to have the shoulders raised, and the final result on one shoulder was a completely uneven seem where the fabric edges didnt even line up with the seem. There were also threads left uncut everywhere-shoulders and hem. I feel like if I pay $200 to have a dress altered I should not be cutting the threads hanging off of all the altered areas. I was also surprised at the price: $150 for the hem was the exact same price as Davids Bridal, where they also include a free steam.UPDATE: I was scrolling through photos of my wedding and remembering all the unnecessary trauma leading up to it caused my Mari’s terrible hemming of my dress. Literally nights spent crying over my ruined $900 dress trying to figure out how to salvage it. So I hopped on here to see if my review helped others avoid my pain and lo and behold I see her response. Which is all completely untrue. My dress was not vintage. It was BRAND NEW from David’s Bridal. Where it turns out they would have done the exact same alterations for the same price, but better quality. I showed up in THE BOOTS I WOULD WEAR ON MY WEDDING DAY. And I absolutely DID NOT request a “super short” hem, since I was horrified by the short length-and when I emailed her about it she responded “I don’t know why it looks so short-I took off only one and a half inch.” She clearly has no recollection of who she is referring to. The photos speak for themselves. I am completely baffled by the good reviews that led me to her and all the stress and anguish she caused me. I hope no other bride has to go through such dress drama because of her.

Mari of Touch Of Class did a great job altering my wedding dress. Then I tried my dress on 2 weeks before my wedding & wanted it let out in the hip area. She fit me in and had the alterations done in a week. She knows what she is doing, I knew my dress was in good hands.

I am honestly baffled at the positive reviews Mari has gotten because my experience is absolutely contrary. If I could, I wouldnt give her any stars because I wish I had never taken my wedding dress to her. I never write Google reviews (this is among my first) but I felt as if I could not leave my experience unsaid and risk having another bride go through the same disaster and distress I did.I took my dress to Mari because of her convenient location, positive reviews, and allegedly competitive prices. As a person, she seems rather pleasant but her professionalism is lacking. She works out of her home (which I dont think is a big deal for an alterations business); however, what was disconcerting to me is that she works out of her bedroom. During my first consultation, I was led to her bedroom to change into my wedding dress. I felt very uncomfortable putting my dress on her bed because there was no place to hang it and undressing next to her dresser topped with all her husbands bottles of cologne.I needed two rather simple alterations done: adding an extension to the underarm area so I could raise my arms a bit more (my dress had sleeves) and a simple bustle. In an instant, without writing anything out or doing calculations, she quoted me $200, which seemed very overpriced for such simple fixes. I returned in a week to try on the dress and was absolutely MORTIFIED. She had added loose fabric to the underarm area, making me look as if I had giant, saggy armpits. She took some of the boning out of my dress, which was an action that was never discussed nor necessary, making the bodice of my dress fit completely differently. The bustle she made looked very rudimentary and amateurish. She made three loops using rather thick ribbon that ran through all the layers of my dress (connecting the delicate top layer of chiffon to the heavier fabrics beneath, causing it be weighed down and ultimately damaged) and hooked them onto a button she sewed on. When bustled, the bottom of my dress was not remotely even, with some parts being high off the ground and other parts dragging. The bustle was so poorly made that some of the loops came out before I had even walked out the door! To top it all off, her dogs hair was clinging to my dress all over and in virtually every layer because she allowed my dress to rest on her dirty carpet floor as she worked on it. I was speechless and in tears. She did reinsert some boning (not all of the boning she had taken out) using some of her supplies, because she had already thrown away the boning that came with the dress, and for that I was grateful. However, I knew I still was going to have to take it to another seamstress so it could be repaired and be altered in the way I originally intended.Ultimately, upon seeing how the dress fit and my reaction, Mari said she would not charge me for her services. This came as a relief because I would never dream of paying for such abuse and damage to be done to my beautiful wedding dress. This all happened less than two weeks before my wedding. Fortunately, I was able to take my dress to Lana at Alis Fashion Design and she was able to make the repairs and do the needed alterations at a moments notice AND at a better price!!!!!!! She was amazing and I highly recommend her.I IMPLORE you not to take a chance on Mari. Do not trust her with your wedding dress. I have no idea how she came to have positive reviews but I do see that one other reviewer was also less than satisfied with her work. Save yourself the tears, the stress, the MONEY and go to a professional!!

I brought my wedding dress to Touch Of Class Alterations. I was a bit scared because she does business out of her house. When I spoke to her on the phone she said she would be the cheapest and beat everyones prices, so I made an appointment.When I got there 10 minutes early Mari was rude and in a big hurry. I felt like I was bothering her.The fitting was rushed and I started feeling very uncomfortable. After I got dressed and waited another 10 minutes I was getting even more uncomfortable. So, finally I decided to take it somewhere else, like a real alterations shop.She was furious and said I needed to pay her for her time, even though she was the one that made ME wait. I did pay her $25 for her time because I didnt think she would give me my dress back unless I did.It was a terrible experience.

Mari, is a sweetheart! Even though she runs her business from home, she makes you feel so comfortable and welcome! She takes pride in her work, she listens to you and wants you to be happy with finished product! She did two of my dresses! One was perfect 1st shot and second was my wedding day dress. It is a backless dress so I think is a little harder to fit. When I tried it there were a couple spots that needed a few extra tucks on hip area. She listened and was happy to fix. She wants her clients to be happy! She made the couple adjustments on the spot and the finished result was absolutely perfect! She even gave great pointers/advice on extra lil tips to secure dress and have it look even better! Because it is backless with little spaghetti straps she recommend using Hollywood tape are a few areas! Brilliant! I didnt even think of that! She is very reasonable priced! I had two dresses altered for under $400! And done in two weeks! Wonderful lady! Definitely recommend Mari!

Mari is the fairy godmother youve been searching for when it comes to your dress. Every bit of her 20 plus years of experience shows in her professionalism and skill, but you certainly dont have to pay through the nose to benefit from either.I couldnt afford the dress of my dreams, but found one that pretty much had everything I wanted in a wedding dress. Although I liked my dress, I wasnt in love with it or the way I looked in it. When it came in the mail, it was too big and the bodice was totally wrong. The skirt had a delicate lace overlay over the satin and both of those were too long. Since I was only a few weeks away from my wedding, I was getting pretty worried.All that changed the instant Mari opened the door and greeted me with her warm and welcoming smile. Her enthusiasm for my dress and me personally were so sincere it was contagious. She was friendly, quick, efficient and it was extremely clear--both from the way she pinned my dress and the exquisite bead work found on some of the custom dresses she had displayed--that she would offer not just experience but passion for her work as well. She promised to remove the bust cups from the bodice and fix the sides of the dress. Since I didnt have a petticoat yet, she offered to schedule me in for a second appointment the second it arrived so she could measure the hem.Since all of my bridesmaids and my mom were in another state, I asked Mari if she would mind snapping a few pictures of me in my dress to send to them. She was not only totally ok with that, but even waited for me to change out of the dress--and then back in to it--when I realized I had left my phone in my car. She even took pictures with her own camera and emailed them to me immediately.A few days later, I found out my petticoat would not arrive on time. Panicking, I called Mari and asked if she could build on into the dress by maybe adding a few layers of tulle. She simply said it was possible and it would add about two days to the pick-up date.And sure enough, just over a week later I came to pick up my dress and couldnt believe it!! The petticoat, the hem, everything was perfect. After she was done with it (and pressed it for an EXTREMELY reasonable rate), it didnt even seem like the same dress! Suddenly, I fell in love with a dress I had previously thought was just ok and was excited to wear it.The most shocking thing about Mari was her prices--I was stunned at how affordable all of the alterations, including the custom petticoat--were. I had based my alteration budget on several major places, and Mari did more work for about $200 less than I thought I would need! When it comes to A Touch of Class Bridal Alterations, youre not getting what you pay for, youre getting so much more. You never feel like just another bride with just another dress.

My partner wanted a traditional wedding gown for our ceremony but we needed to keep the cost really low so we chose Maria.
