My Dad celebrated his 60th birthday by getting a tattoo at Grand Avenue Tattoo. His tattoo artist, Spider, was professional from start to finish. Spider worked with my Dad to develop the artwork and find the positioning to hide a scar. The tattoo process was smooth, you can tell that Spider is skilled! Dad was happy with the result and - just a few days later - the tattoo is already healed up nicely. Dad used the After Ink skin moisturizer which seemed to work well, plus Spider did a great job of tattooing without brutalizing skin. Now, Im thinking about getting another tattoo... :-)

This is my second time coming back in for two tattoos. I recommend grand Avenue tattoo over any other tattoo shop out there. My tattoo artist was Tone Chee, if you want excellent native tattoos he is a must or any other tattoo you choose.

I had a dolphin tattoo from many years ago. I wanted to add add a beach scene to it. Because of where I had my placement of my dolphin tattoo he explained that it wouldn’t look like it was suppose to be there. James provided me with my options and I chose to cover it up. James was able to make my beach scene and cover up my dolphin tattoo. It turned out very beautiful and he added extra details like going from a sunset to nighttime with stars in the sky. James is very creative and really listens to what you want. I am definitely coming back for my next tattoo. He does a great job!

It’s a good spot I recommend it. I got a chest piece there the other day it turned out really good. It’s a decent location with good parking which is a plus. It’s a chill environment with comfortable seating and a good stereo which won me over.

5 star experience with the good brother Tone Chee... this dude absolutely crushed my rose filling on my sleeve. I’m somewhat new to the area. I’ve been in and out of multiple local shops and diving into IG’s of local artists who had the style I was looking for. I found 2 other guys but they were booked for weeks out. Mr Chee was VERY responsive from the get go and I was able to book within a week. The dude is respectful, didn’t rush a minute of the tattoo, and obviously a master of the artistic craft. Talented! He’s got a light hand, good attitude, and a veteran. I found my local go-to tattoo artist. The shop was a little far as it was the south Phoenix shop and I live in North Phoenix but unquestionably worth it. If you’re looking for a REAL humble artist then look no further, RESPECT BROTHA.
