I shopped around looking for a cockatiel. I went to several different places but none compared to Birds and then some. For starters everyone had an amazing attitude from start to finish. And the price honestly surprised me. I had looked at The Arizona bird store and the price was way more and they were very rude the entire time we were in the store. So it was night and day coming here. They showed me all of their baby chicks and I waited about 2 months for him to be old enough to come home. Because he was handraised he was already comfortable with my hands and was very friendly. And if I have any questions I know I can always call or ask through their Facebook and get quick answers. I truly feel that they care about the animals and about their customers experience. I was able to get my new baby, food for nearly two months, and millet for the price I expected to pay for just the bird. And Ive had him for months and hes perfectly healthy and a joy to have around. Thank you so much Birds And Then Some! I couldnt imaging my life without my precious baby in it!

I went to many bird stores before finding this one. The store is a gem! They found the perfect bird for me, and he is the BEST. So happy and friendly, and he hangs out with me while I work from home all day. The birds at this store all look so happy and healthy. The staff is extremely friendly and they genuinely care about their animals. They answered all my questions, and really helped me get everything I need for my little man. Thank you!

Cute family owned shop. Very knowledgeable staff. Great selection of quality food you wont find regularly at chain petshops. Large selection of cages and accessories. Great spot for bird lovers and anyone considering one. They are bird lovers themselves and can answer just about any questions you may have. They spent 20 minutes talking to a couple families about recommended breeds and temperament while I was browsing.

They are wonderful and truly love birds. You wont be disappointed.

There are 4 associates for helping choose your new family addition, like we did. Birds being so popular, theres always a fresh batch. Tammy, the owner, does wing clipping and if very good. We travel 30 mins for their expertise. We love it there.

I got my own parrotlet from this store. Theyre super helpful and are wonderful people to talk too. Id definitely recommend getting a bird from here. Its a bit of a drive for me but its worth it!

Super impressed with how sweet the birds in this store are, and how welcoming the people who work here are. Made me feel comfortable to look at the birds and hold them, and it seems like most bird shops make it seem like a burden if you want to try handling several birds. This place was very welcoming and almost all of the birds are hand fed and super sweet. Fairly expensive I think, it was $120 for a lovebird, but I’ve never seen such a sweet bird, so definitely worth the price! The bird also came with a couple of pounds of food included in the price.

We stopped in to get an idea of costs and what was needed to add a bird to our family. We were very impressed with the owners willingness to answer our questions and hold a couple of birds. We werent sure what we wanted until this visit! We will definitely go back.

I got my cocktail here. The owner let me know when the 9 week olds would be available. I was able to get him on his first day in the store. Hes the sweetest bird. Prices are fair and the owner was very helpful. You can also hold other birds. Always a plus. Get your bird here.

We are currently in the process of purchasing a green cheek conure from this particular store. The owner, Tammy, was happy to answer my dozens of questions over the phone. The prices are fantastic for durable toys, perches, and play equipment. When we showed the owner our cage she was concerned about bar spacing and even offered a loaner cage. If we had purchased a bird somewhere else (with a less thorough and helpful owner) our baby could have died. We were able to replace the cage in ample time before his adoption.Our bird is currently still at the store so the owner can be absolutely certain he’s eating well (he’s newly weaned). We will likely pick him up this weekend. Thankfully I can feel like we will have all the resources we need to take great care of the newest addition to our family because of the kind and knowledgeable owner of this store. Absolutely would not hesitate to recommend Birds and Then Some to anyone I know.

I absolutely love this place tammy has the best birds hands down in arizona yes sometimes you might pay a little $$$ but trust me its so worth it.

Im impress family own. Indian ringneck are tame already. Workers take time with the birds. Makes a difference take a bird home that will not bite often. Babies have to stay a week or two they let people come play with their birds. I recommend this bird store for everyone. When you take the bird home they know who you are.

I went in to buy a bird from the understanding you are able to finance and make payments. After putting a payment on him 2 weeks later he was sold to someone without knowing. I went in 2 weeks ago to pick him up and they tell me he is no longer there and they do not hold birds for that long but we could sell me another bird. After telling them I had no interest in another bird they pretty much refused to help us after that. The only reason why I have my bird now is because of another customer hearing out conversation.

Tammy is so sweet and passionate about the birds. You can really see/feel the love put into raising each and everyone. Planning on getting my cockatiel with them and Im really excited! I would recommend them to anyone.

At the time of my visit, plenty of different species to choose from and they had a couple of birds already sold. And the enclosures were all clean. A great selection of toys! And other accessories, as well.

Amazing shop! We went to Tropic Zone birds first, but this place blew it out of the water. We bought a baby bird (9 weeks) and got to play with every bird in the store until we found just the right one. They have great toys and food all for really cheap. Way better than Tropic Zone. Would recommend to anyone!!

Ive been meaning to write this review for awhile now, I got my sweet baby cinnamon green cheeked conure here back in December/January and it was the best thing I couldve done! Staff was always very kind and extremely helpful.They allowed me to visit as much as I wanted so I could bond with my baby while my he was weaning. They have a great selection of food, treats, toys, cages, and of course the most beautiful, healthy birds. I live about 45 minutes away but I still drive here for food and toys because I love this store that much! I recommend coming here to anyone who has a bird or is interested in purchasing one, you wont be disappointed!

This place is awesome. Super clean. We just purchased our baby cockatiel there today. This baby is beautiful! The owner Tammie was super helpful too. She was more than welcome to hold the baby for us while we travelled there to pick him up. She even clipped his wings for us right then and there. She gave us awesome advise and tips as we are new bird owners and didnt talk us into getting something we didnt need. Tammy has a decent selection of products, always has great birds for sale, and charged us a small boarding fee to watch our birds for a few days while we had our wedding. Friendly, outgoing, and honors the concept of a military discount.

Birds and Then Some.....SUPER friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Reasonable prices on nice, healthy, quality birds. The owner, manager and employees spend the time needed while hand raising their babies so they are truly tame and confident. Some people just feed them and dont handle and talk to them individually every day; thus they may become hand shy and flighty or bite hard. Her babies are good sized and come in a variety of colors / variations with beautiful plumage.Tammies store is kept very clean and the SELECTION of toys is awesome! Her prices on bird necessities are probably one of the lowest in town. Shes also willing to order some things she may not keep /have in stock, including SPECIAL ORDERING BIRDS. They also DNA test their birds for sex upon request for the lowest possible price of $25 (pretty much their cost). And turnaround time is usually a few days for a document with your birds band number.I really enjoyed my time there, and it was hard to choose which baby to put a deposit on, lol. There were so many beautiful, sweet babies. But I finally decided, after hours of being there (and shopping) on 1 or 2 babies :) Im in love and have confidence because Tammie, Jason and Cookie are there for friendly support and tons of experience 7 days a week!My thanks to everyone at BIRDS AND THEN SOME! I will be a long time customer from now on, even though I drive all the way from Mesa :)

Even though I didnt buy a bird today, I highly recommend this place, and may be back as soon as tomorrow to purchase. I went in with a budget more suited for a cockatiel but fell in love with a pineapple conure, so needed to leave and think about it. The owner is amazing, didnt make me feel bad for taking the time to make sure its the right decision. This shows me that she cares about the birds AND her customers, that it isnt all about the sale. I cannot recommend a bird store in Phoenix area more highly than Birds, And Then Some!
