Overall Rating:Service: Prioritization lacking a bit.Communication: FairThe original issue I had brought it in for was not repaired.Prices: A little highThey charged roughly $600 to replace an oil pan gasket.They are skilled mechanics, however I do not think I will go here again.They left the car a mess on the outside paint, but thats not that big of a deal. The prices felt okay for the most part, not super expensive, although $110 an hour is very expensive. I understand the amount of knowledge someone needs to dive into an engine, but they did not do that. I originally came in for a head gasket leak (at the time, I assumed that was the issue) They repaired some bad fuel lines, intake manifold gaskets, engine mounts, and an oil pan gasket. Total came out to just under $1600, like I said, not that big of a deal. Until I realized that the original issue I had brought it in for was not repaired. I found out that the white smoke coming from my tail pipe was actually not coming from the tail pipe, it was a rear main seal leak.Kind of feels like I got ripped off, Im upset that this was not found until all of these other smaller repairs were finished, I do not understand how they could not find the leaking main seal sooner. I had originally taken it out of the shop after they finished the majority of the repairs, and it was still smoking minutes after I left. I cannot afford the cost to repair a rear main seal leak, they were running me for $800 after I had just spent $1600. I wish they would have found the main issue sooner instead of all the smaller issues.

Honest mechanics and fair prices.

Chuck services all my fleet vehicles. Hes kept us on the road for the past 5 years. I apologize if hes ever slipped me in while working on your vehicle, but when I break down Im out of business, so Chuck is a vital member of our company. What Chuck says it costs is what it costs and he stands behind his work.

They damaged my truck and wouldnt fix it.They said my truck is fixed and ready. I paid and was leaving but had no power steering. It was blowing out power steering fluid in their parking lot. Without looking at it Chuck said Id have to pay for a new steering box.I took it to another shop who found the problem and fixed it. CB Auto improperly installed the steering column coupler which damaged the upper seal in the steering box. I called Chuck and he said I voided the warrantee by going to another shop, he said he never told me the things he told me, and he said never call him again and hung up.I was going to sue him but it would cost $240 to file at justice court and Id have to take off work to file and appear in court. Wasnt worth it.

Took the car in for stalling and loss of power. They promised free diagnostic. They replaced 2 sensors and solved the problems. But they also installed a $200 battery I didnt ask for. When I refused to pay for it they took it out and charged me $95 for the diagnostic. Not cool.

Highly recommend these guys for any kind of auto repair. I was lucky enough to come across this shop after the place I had been using gave me a very high quote on replacing my rotors and brake pads. Saved a bunch of money by going here and received a more professional service from these guys all the way around. Work was done right and done in the exact time they said it would be. They didnt try up selling me with a bunch of stuff I didnt need either which was nice. Will definitely be using them again for any work in the future I may need done. Thanks again fellas!

Guys here are pretty great & know their stuff! Ive been here only twice but theyve done me good. It is a hard to notice from the street though as it is behind another store.

I brought my van in for an AC diagnostic only. When I called back to check he had repaired the issue for almost $300, without any kind of communication or estimate. This left me in a very bad spot financially. I felt I was very clear when I brought the van in that I had very little money to work with.Be aware, in Arizona there is no legislation over the auto repair industry. If they choose to repair something and you cannot pay, they can legally seize and sell your vehicle.I had to bring the van to a second shop the next day because the AC stopped working, and the mechanic there pointed out a simple cracked valve that should have been caught. I bumped my review up to 3 stars because when I brought the van back to CB, they repaired the issue and recharged the freon free of charge.They may have competent mechanics and I appreciate the follow up service, but I would take business to a shop that provides written estimates and has better client communication.

Clean & professional place

Vartan is amazing and one of the best mechanics Ive met. Hes old school but keeps up with technology. Recently he had to bypass the built-in computer security system that locked the engine out. Hes taken pretty good care of my new cars that just passed their 3 year warranty.Twice he has taken cars and raise them from the dead that no one else was able to do. Hes nothing short of a miracle worker. I referred a close friend and he did amazing work for them as well.Vartan is a Master Mechanic. Reasonable prices. Hes very tough mentally and you can hear the toughness in his voice but he is very honest and honorable in his work and probably outside too. :)He will take care of you.Note: Little known fact. I took a 6 month course in Automative Repair in the late 80s at the local community college. I find a lot of things fascinating.----- Old Review Below ------Vartan is a great mechanic and has reasonable rates. Highly recommended.I took the car to several shops. One wanted $500, others wanted to replace this and that.Vartan fixed the problem for $40 and said no parts needed to be replaced after careful diagnosis. Great honest person. He was recommended to me by a trusted person.I think some of the mechanics here are independent so you have to ask for them by name. I will take my business to Vartan from now on.
