The pep boys at 27th and Bell road with Chrystian and Louie treated me well I would not choose another pep boys to work on my vehicle I was also offered a ride for convenience while they work on my vehicle I never had this much kindness and experience with pep boys until I came here if you need your car worked on and you want a great experience come to this pep boys and ask for Christian. Jeff and Konrad was also helpful I will really really suggest coming to this pep boys Im going to tell my friends about it they also recommended further services they might be needed on my vehicle I will definitely be coming back to this pep boys

Don’t bother writing a review through their email. If you provide a poor review, they will reject it and refuse to post it. I went to this location last week. The guy at the front desk knew nothing about cars. I asked if they could fix my rear view mirror while changing my oil. Instead of asking a real mechanic, he attempts to fix it himself. He was placing parts in backwards and upside down. He clearly did not know what he was doing but wouldn’t ask for help. I told him to just forget about it and just do the oil change. After over an hour of waiting (they were late on my appointment claiming to be busy but there were barely any cars there), I got my car back. After driving it around for 6 days, my “change oil” censor came on. Not even sure if the oil change was done but I paid for it. Again, no point in sending in a bad review, the company will refuse to post it. Extremely shady business practices here and clearly don’t hire people who know what they’re doing.

Made an appointment for an oil change and FREE tire rotation. Was quoted $106.14 for a Synthetic blend oil change. I agreed, but after 45 minutes no one had started on the vehicle. The doors to the store were wide open on a 112 degree day because it was cooler OUTSIDE than in the store. It is outrageous that Pep Boys allows their workers and customers to remain in an unhealthy environment.Wasted an hour, but leaving was the right decision

We were on a long trip and needed an oil change. They took me in quickly. They were to perform a tire rotation included with the oil change and did not perform it. They failed to put a reminder sticker on windshield. The mechanic did not use a funnel and spilled oil on the engine compartment and the parts below of course. It smelled and burned for a while. Very annoying and a lack of respect for the customers vehicle. I cleaned some of it off when I got back to the hotel. Also did not use floor mat or seat covers to protect my interior. I keep a very clean vehicle inside and out and do not appreciate the lack of attention to others property. I also question if I received the correct oil as there was none of my type on their rack they dispense the oil into the jug. Only a concern, not sure. I did ask and was not offered a chance to be shown the oil container.No wonder Pep Boys is closing stores. Not exactly customer focused. I will pick another supplier next time.

Pep boys is a real good place to buy air fresheners, auto parts, but I definitely do not think Id have those monkey wrenches working on my car! This is just my opinion, I take my vehicles to mechanics that are ASE certified and seem to be a little bit more savvy and better!

Lies, Lies, lies. Told me the check engine light was because the oil change wasnt done. There is no such OBD2 code. LmaoTheres one for low oil pressure or wrong type/weight. Then they said yeah, that one. 🤣🤣

The evening of 6/7 around 530pm, I called, spoke with an employee whos name starts with an L and scheduled for my car to be aligned on 6/8 at 12pm. I have a lifetime alignment. I showed up for my scheduled alignment 15 minutes early as my whole day was planned. Jeff informed me it would be 2 hours. I asked why, becuase I had scheduled the alignment the day before. I was informed I had no appointment. Jeff handled the situation like a pro and told me I can come in on 6/9 at 1130 and I would be in and out. GREAT! 6/9 I show up to my appointment 5 minutes late only to find there are several people in front of me and will take several hours. BRO, I scheduled my alignment for 1130. I was told it would be in and out. Your employee from 6/7 already wasted my time. 6/9, day two and my time is wasted again? Two days in a row? Thats exactly how to not retain a customer.

Would rate them higher but they decided to park my lowered car on a stump. Had to rush there to pick up my car before 8, I called because Id be cutting it close. I was told if I dont make it through the door before 8 they cant give me my car. They did Mount and balance my tires for a great price though.

I took my car in for an oil change on a Friday. When I approached the counter the assistant manager was not wearing a mask, and was watching a video on his phone so it took him two minutes to even notice I was there. They say they performed the oil change. My check engine light was on and they told me what needed to be fixed according to the code reader. The assistant manager said he wasn’t familiar w that error so he’d need me to bring it when a master tech was there. Because he was not knowledgeable about my particular issue, I decided to take it elsewhere for the repair. Prior to me leaving I noticed they NEVER topped my fluids so I asked for them to add windshield washer fluid. That should’ve been my first clue nothing was done. On Monday, I took it to a trustworthy auto repair shop familiar to me. I was shocked and disgusted when they called me asking me if I was sure I had an oil change on Friday. They said in addition to the sensors I needed replaced, I also needed an oil change. They wouldn’t feel comfortable based on the condition of the oil and oil filter if I didn’t have that completed. I paid to have another oil change not even 72 hours after I took it to pep boys. I will attach photos. I cannot believe that such dishonesty exists. I know how new oil and a new oil filter should look. See photos. Shame on this companyI will make sure EVERYONE knows not to take their vehicle there!

I came here for an oil change and to get my belts replaced. The oil change was perfect; they did had to order my belts and told me to come back the next day. Originally I was told that if I came by 4:00, that the mechanic would be able to replace them. They said it was going to take an hour and a half. When I called to make sure they received the belts and make an appointment to come in, they did not know what I was talking about and said they would have to call me back. They also said I could not come in at 4 since the mechanic leaves around that time. I had even planned to leave work early.

Needed to have my windshield wipers and battery checked while out of town. Staff was super friendly and quick to assist me even though I didnt have an appointment. Found out I didnt need a new wiper blade! Gentleman stated a nut had come loose and he fixed it right on the spot! Battery was found to just need cables cleaned. I was on my way in no time and not out a single penny!

If I could put a 0 I would. I made an appointment the night prior, arrived on time to be told it was going to be 45 mins because there were 2 other people also scheduled for the same slot as me. I waited for 2 hours! They didnt even touch my car. The helped the person who walked in right in front of me, and the person who came in half an hour after I did. And then the gentleman behind the counter tried exclaiming that my car was next when I requested my keys because I had to go to work and I waited twice as long as his initial estimate.0/5 for this location.

I’ve never had an issue with this place until now: took my car in for an oil change and an inspection because I was taking a drive to Cali. (About 4 months ago only getting around to writing this now because the issues were insane) I had bad brakes that I had to replace a week after my trip (they said they checked them) and less than a month after returning I found out that I had 0 coolant and no leaks. Which means even though they had told me my coolant was bad and needed replacing, they never added more or added very little. It’s getting more and more issues now because of the piss poor level of care my vehicle got. Absolutely NEVER taking it here again. I’m now having to do repair after repair because I drove 800+ miles with little to no coolant because they told me they told me it needed replacing not that it was empty. Thanks pep boys🙄🤦‍♀️

They seemed very overwhelmed in the service center like they need a couple more employees? It took quite a while to be helped. But they took care of me. I had an alignment done here a few months ago and it seems like its off a little bit but they said they checked and said it was fine ? Overall they do good work thoughthe best that he could and Dominic out in the shop is super friendly and super helpful and has helping me out everytime Ive stopped by to get air in the tires or anything like that!

My experience here was absolutely atrocious. I came in wanting to confirm why my engine light was on. I had checked already and believed it to be only spark plugs but wanted a second opinion. A simple diagnosis cost $90 (which is a bit steep but I paid it). I thought the diagnosis would be quick, but it took 2 hours. After that they told me it would be over $800 to fix the problem. I declined because I can’t afford that and they didn’t even give me a list of what was wrong with the car! Just a receipt! I spent $90 and waited for 2 hours just for them to tell me that my engine is not performing well and give me a receipt. If something costs money to fix, that’s understandable. But they showed me nothing to justify an $800 price tag. Absolutely ridiculous.

Pep Boys had my truck for week and put ALOT of extra miles on it. They fixed 2 out of 5 problems and said that they could not order any of the parts that I needed. they did my discs and brakes but did not change out my brake fluid or fix the leak. WAY over charged me on things that they mdid not even look at!!!!!! Took my truck to Meineke and they went out of there way to order and fix ALL the things Pep Boys did not do!!! I live directly behind this location. I would very much caution getting repairs done here. They tried to tell me that my vehicle had an internal fluid leak. Luckily, I was able to take it to the dealership and have a certified mechanic look at it. There was absolutely no orange fluid leaking onto the head, as they described. All I wanted was a second opinion before I took it to the dealership, and you guys wanted to charge $600+ To break down the vehicle. I will never go here again!

The service department here is excellent. I have been going here for oil changes and misc car repairs for about five years now. I have met the same employees there most of the visits so the employee turn over is really low. Gene is a service tech at this location who it seems I have run into most often over the years and he is a great person to work with. The service has been prompt courteous and overall terrific.

Car battery needed to be replaced first thing in the morning before work. Got my car to Pep Boys and within minutes they had my car back in the shop to test my battery out. Showed me a printout of how the battery was not holding a charge and put in a new one. Quick and friendly service.

Went to have tires shipped from tire rack to Pep Boys on Bell. Was told over the phone I would get a call when my tires arrived and they could set me up for an appointment that day. They never called. I just happened to stop by cause I found it weird they hadnt received them by the time I was off work. The tires were there already there. So i proceeded to go home to change clothes and set up an appointment online. I arrived 10 min before my appointment time just to be told, We dont have time today to work on your car. Now that is some great customer service if you ask me.... No wonder there are so many 1 star reviews. Should have never shipped my tires to this shop.

I went to this Pep Boys to get an Oil change which was handled extremely professionally with proactive communication when the oil change revealed the need to my brakes needing to be changed as well.What set this store apart was when I checked out and casually asked if they had batteries for my FOB. My expectation was just to be directed to the battery display. Shelby and Joseph went out of their way to help me REPLACE the battery. Seems like a small task but it took a bit of effort. Their auto parts store might be okay but the service section is absolutely garbage. I just wanted to have an experienced mechanic to take a quick look and tell me the problem. Its more of an annoyance than a problem. My car is running fine.I understand that there might be some fee but $90 is for what exactly. Oh, it is to run an obd scan and check the codes. I have that in by glove compartment and there is no error code.This shows their incompetence when the most experienced mechanic on the floor told me that they will not be able to fix modern cars unless there is a code. I even suggested to check visually and that could be a good point to resolve any problem. I was out of the place as soon as possible. 😅

Amazing costumer service! I called them in a panic because someone had stolen the valves off my tires (insert a few choice words) not the best timing with it being Labor Day, but they were open. Albert did a phenomenal job assisting me with which valves to buy. In fact, he found out I was a teacher and knocked the price down for me. They also made sure to fill up my tires. Thank you!!

I made an appointment to have a simple oil change completed on my vehicle. Once I arrived they informed that it was going to be 15 minutes to get it in and 30 minutes to get it done, OK I can deal with that. An hour and 15 minutes later I walk out of the store, for an oil change that is crazy. The only reason this is not one star is the guy that checked me in and out was really good.

The Pep Boys sales people stated that Cooper Tires no longer manufactured the tires I had on my car.One quick search on Google revealed that they were less than truthful. I went to Discount Tires and purchased the Cooper Tires that Pep Boys said were no longer available.

Very disappointed, no, actually I am very aggravated with my experience here. I came in for an oil change. I made the appointment last night by phone and the person I spoke to told me it would be $32 and change “out the door” for my 2006 Kia Sedona. “Out the door” means tax and everything is included.I came in today and was told it would take 45 - 60 minutes which was fine. Two hours and six minutes later I am writing this review. I was in the customer lounge the entire time and nobody came to get me. Yet when I went to inquire about my car it was ready and the employee told me he had no idea how long it was ready, meaning that nobody bothered to let me know I was good to go.Then I was told it would be $77! They replaced the cabin filter and the air filter at my request which should’ve cost an additional $33. $33 plus $32 equals $65. According to my receipt tax was $4.70. Once again, by my calculations that should come to $69.70.After questioning the total, the employee then told me it was $71.06. Better, but I’m not comfortable with why the price bounced all over the place.And to top it off I had an appointment at 11 AM which I know missed because of my two hour oil change. I’m hoping management read these reviews and I am hoping to be contacted because I am not satisfied in the least and I don’t think I will be going back unless I hear from someone.

Went to get my battery checked and ended up getting a new one installed. It was an easy and smooth exchange. Why I decided to write a review was I was so impressed with how they handled a very disgruntled customer( not the fault of the mechanics or staff). They treated her with respect and concern. ( I wanted to give her a spritz of water in her face from a spray bottle like you do with a misbehaving cat.) Their customer service with all customers remained top notch during and after. Did an online order, got email said it was ready, when I got there parts were not there and had to be ordered in from another store, went back 7 hr.s later and picked up my parts and tool, 6 am this morning ready to get busy, the tool they gave me is broken, At 9 am when they open I will be back there for the 3rd time to get it replaced, I will update this as to see how it goes, I am unlikely to do business here again as I have to drive by 3 competitors to get there. They exchanged it, then I went back again to get the right one, and in doing so lost my discount for online purchasing, so all in all I lost by being loyal and trying to stay with a place I liked, No more, I will not go out of my way again!

Waited two hours and in the end was told they could not do it. The place seems to have no leadership. The employees just fumble around not sure what do. Hack job mechanics cant even do an alignment properly. Almost crashed my truck with my wife and 2 Kids inside because of this. Then I bring it back and they want to deny that they caused the problems and argue with me. It drove perfectly fine before they installed new alignment cams and did the alignment. I will never go back there again.

Absolutely horrible experience. 4 hours for an oil change. Painful to watch. Charged for alignment and it was not done. Advised $600 to replace brakes. Charged us for wheel studs they broke. Took it back the next day for alignment and then told it couldnt be done but another $800 would fix the problem.Took it to Network Service and they did the alighment for $49 and said the brakes were fine.

I had a nail in the tire of my vehicle and noticed it on Memorial day weekend at 5pm on a Saturday. They took care of it for $12.They are expensive compared to competition of Discount Tire, who will fix your flat for free, even if you didnt buy your tires there.I also asked for a quote for replacement shocks and struts. WOW! Sticker shock! The estimate was $757.12 WITH a 50% off labor coupon! I wont be getting this done at pep boys, thats for sure.Still, I would recommend them in a pinch.Service was friendly and professional.

Worst customer service ever. What was supposed to be a quoted 45 minute check engine light diagnosis (not even a repair job) took 2 1/2 hours of sitting in the waiting room, watching the guys standing around laughing & chatting, taking special care of customers who came in after me, and failing to inform me of when the diagnosis was finished & when my car was ready to take back. These guys refused my business all three times i have stopped by. One of the times they would not inspect my brakes or even let me use their lift so i could do it myself because it was 30 minutes before closing. Never going back.
