The positive reviews convinced me to give this place a try and Im so happy I decided to. My laptop would not turn on and there was no light showing when plugged in to a charger. Best buy told me they would have to send it out (6-8 weeks) and it would likely be the motherboard and the cost to fix it wouldnt be worth it and to buy a new laptop. Its only a year old. I called Phone Repair Philly, was able to drop off same day (Saturday) and it was ready for pickup on Monday. It was a simple fix. Saved so much money!

Had my hard drive fail during an exam week and they were able to fix it the same day! Very fast and responsive, great service. If I have any other computer issues in the future this is where Ill go.

My computer got water in it and they started it up without it being completely dry, causing the motherboard to burn out. They personally took my screen off and I found it cracked, but they denied knowing it was cracked, making it hard to believe. Their negligence caused my computer to never boot up again and I lost $2400 with no evidence to argue with them.The man was not professional or friendly at all, he would only tell me that liquid damage is damage, but I am 100% sure that the short circuit was caused by turning on the machine without cleaning and drying it completely. They should apologize and compensate me for this.

I brought in an old, very very dead laptop to see if any data was recoverable off it. After a weekend of attempts, it was unfortunately declared dead. Im leaving a 5 star review and recommending this shop to everyone I know because even though he couldnt resuscitate my bricked hard drive (which was a lost cause anyway), he worked on it for days and charged me nothing because its our policy to only charge if we can do the repair - which was refreshing to hear. Had a great experience here. I had to get my laptop battery replaced, but the first replacement battery I ordered was a dud and I had to come back in multiple times until it was finally fixed, and they only charged me once. Both Jeff and Jay are great guys and hooked me up.

I got my iPad 7th generation repaired. Service was fast, however, I notice a bunch of white dots under the screen and little pieces of lint.

Great new computer repair shop in U city I found on Google. I repaired my Lenovo with them within a few days and im very happy with the quality and service. Def coming back here again for any phones or computer work!

Very poor service. They took my laptop apart 4 times over. After 2 months it was never fixed and I had to really try hard to get my full money back. He was about to claim that they keep a $40 deposit on any computer the customer takes back. Now, I understand that sometimes not all things are fixable. However, when they returned the laptop to me with the original parts the left out screws and did an unacceptable job. The screen now falls out of the housing, the panels meant to hide all the wiring are constantly falling off, whats worse they actually left out multiple screws when putting it back together.NEVER GO HERE. They are disrespectful to you and your stuff.Recap:1 - went to repair screen2 - They bought the wrong screen and broke some wires in the computer3 - They buy new screen. Screen comes in and now features like touch, sleep sensors, and an array of other things dont work4 - 2 months later they ask me if Im willing to wait more months, but I have to leave the city so I decline.5 - They are about to withhold money form me (supposedly a deposit for taking the computer back with me, a policy they never mention before). I explain that I had paid in full and only took the computer back when they could not fix it. They do give me back the money in full.6 - Now my computer is not just cracked, but is missing screws, wont close properly, and is falling apart.If you want to pay people to break your stuff then definitely go here.

They fixed me phone after I shattered the screen. It took a week to get the parts to fix it. I got my phone back and now the front camera doesnt work and it did before I brought it in. Then to add insult to injury, they kept my SD card from my phone with contacts and other info. When I called to find out where it was, the person I spoke to had no idea what I was talking about. Im take my phone into my SP. Thats probably the best bet vs this place.

I took my Macbook Air for repair to the Computer Fixer. The computer had some backlighting issue, in which you can dimly see the screen, but without backlight. The polite gentleman in the Computer Fixer diagnosed the situation miraculously in one minute and told me that its a LCD monitor issue, so all the monitor should be replaced for $ 385 + tax. Then I took my Macbook to the Computer Wise, just by looking at their Google reviews. It took them 2.5 days to diagnose and they wrote me three options for repair, and none of the options contained anything about the monitor. They told me that there is corrosion on the connection point of the LCD, so all it needed was a chemical bath. They also told me that I would be responsible for just $ 40 if the bath didnt work. Hopefully it worked and I paid $ 200 for the bath, all the repair took 2 more days. Now I am using it without any problem. Therefore, I dont recommend this place for Mac users.

I have not yet taken in my PC for a repair, but so far the team has been timely with their responses and very professional.

I went there for employment verification today. When I asked to make sure I was in the right place, the employee who Ill call Jeff (see below for description) turned around a bruskly pointed to a sign. He took my passport and returned. When he finished, I asked if there was any way I could receive some documentation. He refused and gruffly told me, Youre done here. He said he didnt have paperwork for me, but I was curious about whether he could at least print the confirmation for me. Then he launched into a mini monologue about how youre not listening. Youre wasting my time. People dont listen these days and thats whats wrong with people. Ive done my part and Im not obligated to do anything like that for you. I wont. Youre done.The service was performed, so Ill give him a star for that, but the customer service was horrendous, condescending, and repulsive. I will not be using the Computer Fixer services in the future.For those interested in what Jeff looked like, he was a bald/balding Caucasian man who had a George Constanza-like body if Constanza was taller and had a bigger tire around his waist. He wore a striped polo.Jeff, if youre reading this: Ive read other reviews of you treating others badly. I dont know whats going on, but now that Ive written out my experience, I just want to let you know I forgive you. I took my laptop in yesterday and Im holding on to it while parts are shipping, but service was fast, they really went out of their way to fully evaluate my problem, and when the parts get in I should only be without my computer for a day or two. Ill update when the computer is fixed!

Best Macbook repair in Philadelphia

TL;DR: AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I LOST ALL OF MY DATA WHEN I WENT HERE. Especially if your computer is fixed by Jeffery Sabatini.I went there because the hinges on my XPS 13 were broken; I had trouble opening and closing the laptop, as well as charging the laptop. When I went there, I was told that this was a hardware issue by Jeffery and that he had seen cases like this all the time; I took this to mean that the issue should be resolved promptly. I hadnt backed up all of my data by then and because the hinges were broken, I couldnt open the laptop without breaking it so to speak. I told Jeffery that I needed to download some pieces of data for work whilst the computer was being repaired and he was very hesitant initially, because he had taken the computer apart and for me to download the info, he would need to put it back together again (basically it would inconvenience him).After a while, he relented and told me to only download the key pieces of info that I needed. I rushed to the store and downloaded the key pieces into a pendrive.Fast forward a week later, Jeffery emails me out of the blue and says that my laptop could not be turned on and that all the data was corrupted. I panicked and asked him if it meant the data was lost. He said yes and promptly asked me if I wanted to reinstall the OS which would cost me another $80 on top of the $160 he was charging me. He provided ZERO EXPLANATION as to what happened. After failing to get an adequate response, I sent an email to him saying how frustrating this was: not only did he not warn me that this could happen, but he also rushed me through my data downloading process while leading me to believe that I would safely have my laptop back in one piece over the promised time. On top of all of this, I was getting spurts of communication from him saying that my data had been lost with zero explanation why.His boss then calls me and apologizes, but proceeds to blame me for not backing up the data beforehand saying that things happen all the time. He even asked me if I knew what Dropbox was. I was so aghast by his response and explained to him what had happened. He waived the $80 but the data could no longer be salvaged by then. I collected my laptop from Jeffery who did not apologize for this whole incident at all.Long story short: these guys are a scam. Do not go there. They have zero customer empathy and do not understand what good service means.

Incredible computer repair

Ive used The Computer Fixer for out of warranty service on my previous MacBook Pro. Once to replace a damaged hard drive, and another to fix problems with the mainboard. Ive found them to be responsive and fair, with good turnaround times in both cases.
