Being from California it felt odd hiring CALIFORNIA Closets for my townhome in Philadelphia...but also comforting. I had another local company come and give me a quote for 2 closets, design, etc. and both came in around the same price. I found, however, my rep from California Closets, Shannon, was creative and decisive, yet listened to my wants and needs....the perfect combo. I love what she designed and even more when it was installed!

California Closets manufactured and installed a bookcase to my custom-designed specs. Design professional Heather Demonte was easy to work with and helped me to create a design that matched what was in my head. Our installer was fast, friendly, clean and efficient.Though somewhat limited by available options, the custom cabinetry was not nearly as expensive as having a carpenter create them from scratch. They were also less expensive than the Closet Factory, which played a lot more games with their pricing and discounts. All-in-all, I am very satisfied with California Closets and would use them again. Highly recommended!

Shannon was professional and on time for our consult. She had great input on which designs would look best in our space. We did one side of our closet and loved it! Then a few months later when we decided to do the other side, we called Shannon and she had already taken the measurements as she thought wed change our minds! Great experience!

I contracted with California Closets to design and install a custom closet in my master bedroom and laundry room/closet. Tanner was my consultant, and he was very prompt and attentive. I had an in-home consultation a few days after reaching out to California Closets, and Tanner came to my home (with a mask). He measured each of the spaces and created a 3D rendering to envision what they would look like. He allowed me to make as many adjustments and upgrades as I wanted, and since I was happy with the result, we scheduled the date of installation right then and there!A few weeks later, I received confirmation that my closets were ready. I had two amazing technicians (unfortunately, I cannot remember their names) come to the house (with masks and shoe covers) to install both closets. They finished everything within about 2-3 hours, and they cleaned up once they were done.Im super happy with my closets, and I will most likely have them come out again to do my office and guest bedroom closets!Thanks for everything, Tanner!

Yes, youre paying for quality. Yes, youre paying for the service. Yes, youre paying for professionalism. And its worth it.My wife and I were expecting our first in just a few months. Steve (designer) stopped by - completely professional and all safety precautions for COVID were in place. He even took off his shoes to come in the house (we would never ask). He took his time to see what our expectations were, perform his measurements, and came up with multiple design options that fit the bill for us. On top of that, he was so personable and could definitely see myself grabbing a drink with him. But I digress ..After taking a 50% deposit (our system was ~ $6K), production on the materials took ~ 6 weeks, but it was worth it. Don (the installer) came on the day of and called in advance. He took his time and made sure everything was installed flush and the filler materials made everything seem built-in. The quality of the materials exceeded our expectations. Steve stopped by in the afternoon to see how things were going and he actually stayed until the end to ensure everything was delivered to Californias Closets expectations. I could tell they spent 20+ minutes at the end (after completion) to ensure every detail was spotless. Even vacuumed and cleaned the rest of the room to boot.Would definitely go with CC again for our next project! Thanks to Steve and Don!

Excellent job and quality craftsmanship. The design is beautiful, and the installation was done with extreme attention to detail. Every renovation or custom piece always has challenges but the group at Philadelphia California closets figured out how to get around those and did an excellent job. I have used them multiple times and plan to do so in the future.

After the pantry was installed the installer used the wrong handles for the door. a mistake that can not be fixed. the cabinet looks like a closet in my kitchen so I would have to say that I should have planned better for this investment.

I made the decision to redo our master closet despite my husband’s arguments that it would be expensive and was completely unnecessary. He saw nothing wrong with wire racks. After consulting with Cindy at California Closets studio in Wayne, PA, I proceeded with the next step of having her to our home for a layout consultation. My homework assignment of counting the clothing, shoes, hats, etc. that I wanted included helped both Cindy and me enormously in determining our reconfigurement. She was - in a word - outstanding. I would also be remiss in not stating the joy I felt in being in the hands of such a professional. We benefited greatly from her many years with CC. Within short order, she drew up 2 plans, each proposal with a different layout and price point. It was her attention to the details that made the whole experience so easy, right down to the hardware. Of course, I had apprehensions, but on the day scheduled for our install, every anxiety disappeared with the expert team sent in. I opted to paint the walls prior to install and I am so glad that I did. And the crown molding was the best decision ever. No, the best decision was walking into California Closets that day and meeting my designer, Cindy. And, yes, my husband loves it.

They built shelves across a wall for home office. We were so satisfied with the master bedroom closet that we asked for this other project. We are even MORE satisfied with this second job that we are trying to find a third venture!

We have had our closets and Murphy bed for over a year and love them. Everything works great and when we needed extra shelves, they were very responsive. Installers were on time and professional, designer was patient and had great recommendations.

My second time doing work with California Closets - I dont think Ill ever use another company for custom closets. The process is so easy...they come to your home, work with you to propose a design, then show it to you virtually almost immediately. Sign and pay, and you get on the schedule for installation. If youre looking for something custom, its way better quality in my opinion than the container store, and somehow cheaper. Lifetime warranty on chips or cracks or anything on the finish. Tons of options to choose from.

John and the Philadelphia team did a great job for us in our MBR closet. The smooth and easy computer-aided design process gave us a closet design that improved our use and storage space and gave us more hanging space as well. Amazing experience overall with my CC designer and installer. Nicole P worked with me to turn a studio apartment into more of a one bedroom. Her end design was not only appealing to the eye but functional and most importantly, within budget. My installer was timely, professional and paid attention to detail. California Closets designed and fitted closets for my 1 bedroom 1 bath condo in 2012. When I sold the unit in 2018, my condo sold for $30K more than any of the other units like it that were for sale. I had my bedroom closet redone and had California Closets come out to design the internal closet storage. My rep, Shannon, listened and designed to my specifications. Once the closet arrived at the factory I was notified and scheduled for assembly. The guys came out and did an amazing job and were super clean. I just had Shannon come back out to reconfigure two more closets and can’t wait to see the finished product.

We did a huge renovation on our small Philly row house (it actually turned into a total gut), where every square inch of space was not wasted due to the limited footprint and square footage. I love the way my coordinator made my idea come together on paper. When I saw the finish product it was even better than I imagined. She asked all the right questions and showed me samples. Such as colors, layout, dressers, knobs, shelves anything I wanted it was possible. Then when it was all put together. The quality of materials was amazing. Design coordinator listened, suggested valuable improvements but did not try and up sell. Installers were in and out in two and a half hours. Solid construction, elegant.Everyone was friendly and professional. Definitely pay a bit of a premium, but it’s worth the zero-defect outcome

The designer was great and understood exactly what I wanted. It was also really helpful that a mock up was made immediately that we could change on the fly during the consultation session. I have used California Closets for 2 separate projects. The first was for a master bedroom closet which turned out great! And the 2nd was for a craft/sewing closet in my home office. This most recent project turned out better than I could have hoped for. The space needed to serve several needs: storage, wrapping paper and gift bags/tissue paper storage, sewing machine, sewing supplies and area to work, other craft materials, and finally we stored our home printer in here as well.I worked with Nicole Parkinson on this project and she was so insightful and imaginative and listened to all of my needs and created the perfect space for all of it. In addition, she was so professional and friendly. It made it a fun experience, not a home project. Id use them again in a heart-beat!

I worked directly with Cheryl out of the Wayne location of California Closets. Cheryl is terrific! The installation was a wall of enclosed shelving, closets and drawers - with lots of mirrors :). The installation itself was better than painless - the installer provided helpful information as to how I could change shelving heights and add shelves, etc. later. I was doing a whole house renovation and other contractors saw the finished closet - and expressed their admiration for a quality product/installation.

Workmen were on time and polite and provided a high quality product. salesperson in the Wayne, PA office was helpful, listened to us describe our needs and was helpful in working with our unique spaces as opposed to pushing a cookie cutter product. All of the above was true both for his and her walk-in closets ( project #1) as well as combination book cases/desk /filing system installed in an upstairs den.

I got sliding floor to ceiling door, wall unit with bed and all the closets installed. Designer Shannon was so nice, courteous, punctual with so many brilliant ideas! Mike and other guys who came to install were super professional and nice.When our sliding doors started to slide on one side due to our unevenness of the floor, they were there to figure out a solution until they found and fixed it. You definitely can depend on their customer service!

Mike came to our residence to see our closets and discuss what we needed in closet space. He had a 3D program that we could rotate and see the space. That was so helpful to decide. Pricing was similar to other estimates we had gotten. The installation was timely, the work and clean up was meticulous.

I really love the closets we had installed in our rowhome. We had his/hers closets done in the master bedroom and a pantry system installed in a kitchen closet. The process began with an in-home consultation, I received designs that we altered and then the installation process was SO EASY I just answered the door, showed him the emptied closets and later that day they were DONE. I am very happy with our purchase. I believe we paid ~$900 for bedroom closet systems, $1,100 for pantry.

I am so pleased with my three closets. The whole process from start to finish was absolutely flawless and I loved the outcome even more than I imagined I would. The initial consultation was so professional and provided the best use of space utilizing my priorities. Result was beautiful and functional. Construction process was scheduled quickly and completed as promised without any stress or residual mess. I was hesitant to spend the money it is not cheap but absolutely worth every penny! Do it!

I live in a condo and had an entertainment center installed only to find out my floor was uneven so that one end of my new furniture was an inch off the floor. I was told I needed a base installed around the bottom to hide this issue at a cost of $400.00. I felt I had no choice so I went ahead with it. When I wrote stating I was unhappy since I was not informed of this originally (my installation was several months prior) the owner Mike refunded the $400.00. We recently had a new home built, and decided to have California Closets installed in our Master Closet, which is quite large. We worked with their designer, Christine, who spent a lot of time with us making sure she understood what wed need, how we could most efficiently set things up, and what our style preferences are. She came up with a design that was amazing! We then had the closets installed and we are THRILLED with the result! The cabinetry is beautiful as well as solid. The installation was fast, high quality, and clean. And the whole room exceeds our expectations in every way. We had lots of details incorporated, like valet pulls, jewelry drawers, wire baskets, etc., and all of it works well together and looks like high quality furniture. We couldnt be more pleased - we wouldnt change a thing! Thanks!
