I needed to replace my mortise entry lock, and wanted to go with a keyless system without converting from the mortise lock type. This isnt very common in mortise locks and isnt readily available at standard retailers. I contacted Woodland over the weekend about a Yale nexTouch Sectional Mortise lock and John got back to me very quickly with an estimate (that correctly reflected all the options I had requested) and he followed up with a phone call to review the details and verify the installation details. These locks are complicated to a non-expert in locks and John patiently helped walk me through the options (which can be daunting if you just look at the Yale catalog) and helped me better understand the product. John was professional, knowledgeable, extremely informative, quick to communicate and gave me confidence in my product selection. I am very happy to have found Woodland Building Supply and look forward to doing more business with them in the future.

Their door person will never answer his phone, and doesnt return calls. Ive tried to get in touch with him for two months and he never calls back. I would not recommend ever using their services as its very frustrating to keep trying to reach someone and have them completely ignore you and, they set front desk talking, they no help me

Needed some trim for my hundred year old house. They found a solution using some stock trim to make a similar profile. Very helpful and friendly. Definitely worth visiting before you drive out to the local big box stores!!

I really want to supportsmaller local businesses, which is why I tried to use this place. I called ahead asking if they had the dimensional Lumber I needed, and they confirmed they did, so I drove here (even though I live much closer to a Lowes), stood around for 15 minutes while staff rummaged around looking for said Lumber, only to be told that they dont actually have it. if Im calling ahead its because its out of my way to come there on a hope. So an hour invested in this, I dont have the lumber and Ill unfortunately just go to the damn Lowes.

Wow - Hersh at Woodland Building supply on Sedgely just made my weekend with his extra-superior customer service. Not only did he make my small order of one 2 x 12 with cuts super easy (instead of treating it like a little pain in the butt request), but he delivered to my home when I realized I had ordered from the wrong Woodland location! Truly above and beyond - easily the best lumber yard service Ive ever gotten in Philly. Now - on to turn this 2 x 12 into a garden bed! Thanks Hersh!

The worst customer service I have ever experience, can never reach anyone, they do not follow up, received defective merchandise, taking weeks to replace, would never never never use this store again, thier prices are the same as home depot, but the frustration of dealing with them if something goes wrong is horrible
