This shop is a really fun treasure hunt for art collectors and book collectors alike. You gotta set aside some time to dig and find that piece that catches your eye, but when you do it is well worth it. The owner is extremely friendly and will make a fair deal with you. 10/10 would recommend when in Philly.

Owner is extremely rude and the inventory is overpriced trash. Youll find better quality at the local flea market. 👎

This is the hippest book & art store in Philly presently. The owner is an awesome curmudgeon that I adore. Paintings are beautiful, great selection of books. Feels like a NYC bookshop from the 80s when NYC was cool and full of aspiring artists and had a majickal energy you felt in the air.

Jules has got great books, antiques, records, pictures and all sorts of different memorabilia and bits of popular and old cultural artifacts. One of my favorite shops in Philly. You will not find the breadth of choice in many other places like this. If you take your time you can be sure to find something good here you will pay a reasonable price for. Highly recommended it.

Nice place, but you need go there after 2 pm,the open time is not on schedule;Good man,but you need spend time to findwhat you want, inside is too crowded and not managed well;Great for choose different books and prints, but not for real old books or rare books, there are only ten leather band rare books which are pretty dirty and old.In the end,its good for citizen not for scholars.

A bit disorganized, but that is the charm. You never know what you will find once you start rummaging through old books, vinyls, paintings or knick knacks. Highly recommend for the lovers of all things vintage.

I went here by mistake thinking it was the Book Trader. Reviews for that store recommend starting upstairs. Upon starting upstairs, the proprietor began screaming and cursing at me that he was calling the cops.Apologizing for my mistake, I came back down and asked him one or two questions about the books. I have never met a more rude and unpleasant person in any store. He told me he can’t help find a book because the books are not organized because he doesn’t sell too many these days!Well that was no surprise. I regularly go into town and buy bagfuls of books, but not from people who show such contempt. That I dress like an Orthodox Jew is possibly a coincidence. The owner might just hate everybody.

Jules buys lots at auction and resells em, sometimes without knowing what hes acquired. Its a fun treasure hunt of a place, and occasionally theres something worth bringing home.

A bit overwhelming but if you have time to really dig through the shelves I have no doubt youll find something that youll be into if you like old books, vinyl music, art, or one of the many big boxes of postcards. I could get lost in here for hours.
