This establishment, Asia Crafts Inc at 124 North 10th Street in Philadelphia, has its advantages and disadvantages based on my personal experience after visiting it.Advantages:- Fun stuff- Cute stuff- Conveniently located in China TownDisadvantages:- Expensive.- Staff are not attentive.Would I recommend this place? No comments.Would I come back in the near future? No.

How can one not miss the old Hello Kitty stores? I loved all the little knick knacks this store is selling. Very clean and organized space and decent prices. I loved the selection and would definitely recommend a trip.

Today, 8/21/21 at about 2pm, I walked into their store and an employee immediately approaches me to yell at me and accuse me of lying. When I opened the door, I saw them ask another customer to put on hand sanitizer, so I did so without them having to ask me. Next thing you know, this lady walks up to me and yells at me that I didn’t put on hand sanitizer and says she didn’t see me do it. I insist that I did, but she continued to say I was lying. I was so frustrated but too shy to yell back at her for accusing me and embarrassing me in front of all the other customers. Every time I’ve gone in there, one of the employees is staring at me while I’m browsing and they’re too expensive anyways. Never going back again and I’ve also written a review on Yelp.

This place is such a delight. So many goodies in here!

Phillys Chinatown is out of this world, and I didnt realize there was a Sanrio shop! When I see Hello Kittys face I automatically go towards it! LOL This shop has a TON of awesome Sanrio goods and they have anime stuff too! Theyve got lots of big Sanrio plushies that I was devastated to not have room in my suitcase for. The woman that runs the shop is REALLY sweet and she took good care of me.

*note* a lot of the items are pricy, but that’s because these are OFFICIALLY LICENSED and sometimes LIMITED items, which can be hard to come by even on resell sites.this is probably the only store in the philadelphia (+greater) area that fulfills exactly what comes to mind when i think “hello kitty store”. from the minute you walk in, you’re greeted with the sweetest store owner (who asked us to use sanitizer upon entering; i appreciate the care for safety) and shelves LOADED with sanrio stuff. most of the hello kitty stuff is largely displayed, but the store makes room for other sanrio characters. along with plushies and collectibles from other franchises, there are asian snacks, toiletries, and even a small selection of sanrio sake/wine.

Lots of collectibles from a few franchises. Little pricey but one of the only places to get Sanrio merch in Philly. $10 card minimum

Staff were rather rude to me and my friends when we visited. We got screamed at the moment we stepped through the doors to put on hand sanitizer which we immediately did. I heard the older woman say something rather mean in chinese thinking I could not understand her as well. We left promptly after that. Its sad that this establishment is like that since I have been visiting this store since I was very young and the overall demeanor of the staff has gotten worse and worse.

I love this place. I visit every time Im in Chinatown. They have a lot of cute stuffed pokemons and nice pens.

Lots of cool items centered around Asian interest. They have quite a few manga and anime character items as well as Sanrio (Hello Kitty, etc...) items that you will not find anywhere else. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Philly doesnt have many anime shops but this is one! Its majority hello kitty but there is some naruto, one punch man, dragon ballz, and other cute things!!! Definitely worth checking out if you like anime. They also have awesome stickers.

Adorable store packed with all things anime. Attention to detail. Every inch of this stores space is utilized and packed perfectly. Lots of specialty items. Pokemon, Pusheen, hello Kitty wall to wall. So much to look at. Clean and well organized though.

I love this store! The owner was friendly and knew the very old anime I was looking for, went to the back and found a necklace I loved! Will be back when Im in the area. Highly recommend for fans of anime and art supplies. Also has lots of imported goods

Great merchandise.

I bought a bootleg item from here before and I asked the cashier if the anime box was a mystery box or no and he said it wasn’t. I opened it and looked inside only to find that I didn’t get the character I wanted. I called and ask if I could return it and they said no. Like I could literally buy the authentic item for cheaper online. Don’t waste your time here, they overcharge for unauthentic items from China. The figure didn’t even assemble right in the end.

Lot of stuff that you dont need and the same saleswoman was so vigilant that was uncomfortable to be looking around...

Cute store, respecify for lovers of Kitty White/Hello Kitty, Gudetama, and Pusheen. Staff is not overly helpful but they are friendly. Things are fairly priced considerng they are imported, so keep that in mind. Several things were on sale.

More like Asia Kitsch, but they do have a few brushes, some paper and some inks. There are a few bead type things and some origami paper. They have a dozen or so Chinese learning books, and some practice books for students learning calligraphy. All in all, their actual craft stuff is probably 5m of shelf space. The entire rest of the store is devoted to typical Chinese gifts; plastic Buddhas, waving cats, fans, tea sets, Wal across, a few toy foam weapons, bamboo plants and steaming fountains. If you are looking for cheap trinkets, this is the place to go, if you want Chinese craft supplies, you may be better off looking elsewhere first.

I love this store. Its one of the few places in Philly where you can get Sanrio items and other cute items from Japan. The people who work there are always really nice. It is expensive for some things but it is all very cute.

Both times I’ve purchased non-Hello Kitty merchandise from here I’ve found that it’s bootleg — first a blind box figure, then a keychain. It’s disappointing to pay ~$13 only to find its a bootleg, when I can import it for the same and guarantee it’s authenticity.I hope they consider importing official merchandise in the future.

Place is amazing filled with mostly Sanrio items and other anime characters. However, be prepared to pay for high prices! Also, the store attendants watch you like a hawk and follows you around discreetly. I suppose they assume everyone that goes in there has the intent of stealing or shoplifting. But she changed her tune and actually gave me a heart felt smile after I paid quite a bit for hard to find Badtz-maru items...smh.

I saw briefly some of these reviews here...what are they talking about...some other store...in Chinatown you find China....Asia Crafts...so, try finding it...but if that wasnt what you wanted, its not what you will find...Who did they find,..did they speak actual Chinese..? I am a card carrying member of Shanhai Bazaar..you dont know whats somewhere unless your willing to hear the end of the story...what was theres? i like shopping in Chinatown..GRH

I love to go here...I call this the hello kitty store because the first thing you see is a whole bunch of hello kitty stuff. They have a lot of fancy anime jewelry. Nice anime wallets. They also have clothes, plushie, chopsticks, keychains, kitchenware but small stuff pillows, pencils, notebooks, backpacks and umbrellas in the front, and many other things as well. They are a little pricey but they are worth it.

A pretty nice store has lots of odds and ends. a lot of anime stuff pillows and memorabilia.

Its a place? overpriced as hell but that’s expected. It was rlly generic stuff thrown together on shelves but not a lot of selection at all. You will not find whatever you are looking for if you already have something in mind. No manga, no legit figures (they got Pop figures though of course lol). Very very little plushies, posters, gundam, keychains, whatever else. Very sad this is the only asian pop culture specialty store in philly. Might as well just go to the two shelves for weebs at barns and nobles, at least you’ll be able to look at manga after the 4 minutes u spend looking at the 12 items. Only giving it two stars instead of one because they had a minifridge with a few drinks, including ooi otchya and pokari sweat. Went to at least look at miku figurines (they had one sudo-figurine in a box), left with a bottle of pokari. so yeah, two stars.

I used to love going here for the Hello Kitty merch and friendly staff but lately the last couple times I went the staff has been rude and talks to me in a really snippy tone and shoves a small basket in my hand like Im going to steal something each time I go.Not as friendly of a place as it used to be.

Such a cute store filled with kawaii things for kids and adults. Me being an adult loves Hello Kitty and I felt like I was in heaven. Some items were pricy but they are authentic licensed items so of course they are expensive. Id definitely go back in a heartbeat. People in the store were nice! Highly recommend going if you enjoy Hello Kitty items ( sanrio ) or any anime stuff.

Alot of different stuff

It mostly has a ton of hello kitty stuff but it also has a lot of anime stuff. They are also big on Rilakkuma products and My Neighbor Totoro products as well. Aside from the fact of the things they have everything is OVERPRICED! If you see something you like look it up online before buying it here because I guarantee you will find it much cheaper online.

Expect to be followed around the store as if you were going to steal something. Just went in to browse and felt so uneasy as we were being hawked by the female cashier. I guess for the prices they charge, people would rather steal the merch than empty their bank account by purchasing things.

If you like western culture this is the place for you

Really like this store but wish they opened on time. Today stood in the rain until 11:15 with a grouchy toddler. The shop never opened. Then gave up and drove home with a disappointed child
