I was traveling from out of town with a small group of people, using a vehicle that we had just recently installed a roof rack for storing a bicycle that we were transporting. Unfortunately, the bike had been really overtightened to the roof rack and so we could not remove it from the roof, even while using wrenches and pliers; this only chipped paint on a plastic knob that was on the rack.I was able to find Tune-up bike shop, and my father and I went there. When we got there, the lights were a bit dim, but I saw several welcoming signs. Upon getting inside, I spoke with a lady at the front desk, but she had to take a quick phone call. My father and I then were then attended to by a man who looked at the rack and told us that he would get someone with more expertise dealing with ceiling racks. The owner of the shop then came out and was very helpful in trying to get the rack unstuck. Ultimately though, it took the manager of the location to get the rack off, much to the appreciation of my father and I. The rack had had us very confused, as we did not use the cam lock properly and had instead overtightened it. Fortunately, the bike shop had provided several sets of hands to all provide help to us out-of-towners.When we went back in, the first man to help us put the front wheel of the bike back on, as the front wheel had to be taken off to use the tire rack. He then pumped up the tires and after a much-deserved tip, we were on our way.Throughout the process, everyone we spoke to was very courteous, polite and wanted to help, including the owner and manager, who both ended up being the most experienced with tire racks. It was a great experience and if I ever find myself with another bike problem in Philadelphia, I will certainly know where to go!

First experience with Tune Up. Brought my bike in with a flat and needed a new lock. They changed the flat super quick and helped me pick the right lock for me. I dealt with a mechanic named Larry and he was great. Would highly recommend.

Horrible customer service, felt rushed, wasn’t interested in getting my bike back to me in a timely manner unless I spent money on full tune up. Not satisfied at all.

Fast, friendly, and knowledgeable. I walked my bike in for a flat repair. They said itd be ready by the morning. One of the technicians appeared to be on his break and offered to fix it right then. So unnecessary. So appreciated. Theyve definitely earned my business for all upcoming needs.

Brought my 70s Schwinn in for a flat fix, and a brake cable replacement. Super quick turnaround, and the folks at Tune-Up went the extra mile and gave my old as dirt bike a little tune up. it rides better than it has in the 17 years Ive owned it. Thanks Tune-Up!

Been biking in the city for 10+ years. The staff here is very knowledgeable; always impressed with their attention to detail. Most importantly, they’re young, honest folk who won’t try to up-sell you (important in these trying times). Very welcome addition to Fishtown/Northern Liberties.

This place has amazing customer service and really cares about their customers. They fixed my bike multiple times and provided expert advice for bike maintenance as a bike novice. The crew is friendly and open, and never made me feel disrespected in any way. I give my highest recommendation!!

I brought two of my road bikes for adjustments. Both were having issues and were not riding well. The shops mechanics had my Cervello and Fuji riding like new.

First time visiting here. I gave them a call before i went there to make sure what i need (brakes adjustment) could be done by tonight and the staff told me if i only wanna do a brake adjustment, it would be done quickly. I arrived there 20 mins after the call and the lady said since it’s too busy, I have to leave my bike for a week to get my brake adjustment. I couldn’t leave it there for 7 days because I’m making money off my bike by delivering food at the moment. I wouldn’t even try to come if they didn’t tell me it would be done right away. Wasted my time. She didn’t seem sorry that i had to make this trip in this 100 degrees just to do nothing.

Took my bike for a tune-up. Such shoddy work. Had to take it into another shop a week later. Spoke to the owner and he was unpleasant and unwilling to help. Please go anywhere else.
