Shame on you Rising Sun Beauty…… I watched how a customer was mistreated today by a staff-owner and it was despicable. The fact that they allowed a customer to be irate and loud for all other customers to hear was alarming. They never tried to pull the customer to the side nor did they try to remedy the customers complaint. The woman was making a complaint about a staff member that gave wrong information and the staff refused to take responsibility.They tried something similar to me about a product that I bought from them. I made a complaint about it and they refuses to help me. fortunately when I contacted the vendor the vendor remedied my problem and offered an apology on behalf of Rising Sun Beauty . So if you have an issue with product. Write the company take video and pictures. No company likes to hear that the people that are purchasing their products are not satisfied or that a company is misrepresenting their product. Shame on you for mishandling your customers.

Just visited and staff showed other staff my receipt with the all black on and ponytail and she gave me the death glare as if I did anything wrong. Such a weirdo then to follow me as a walked out and still stare rudely at me. Bad customer service nobody isnt suppose to show anyone my receipt if I was finished my process. Why I dont shop at establishment where ignorant people are because they dont care about there jobs or how to treat customers.

They have pretty decent selection as far as cigars hair products wigs and other hair accessories.

The service and products have declined, I only go to this store when I do not feel like driving to Cheltenham Mall, will not make that mistake again, ask for help, because no one will ask do you need help. The particular hair I was looking for, they had a downgrade I ask for beach curl, the guy show me curly pop and said it was the same, then got an attitude because I told him I did not want that, I wanted what I ask for. Poor customer service, and when I told him I will take my little change someone else, he keep talking I told him,have a good day, my patronage, will no longer be done at this store, I inform my nieces to no longer shop their, I told my hairdresser, she been stop shopping their,. I will shop at a store that appreciate me as a customer👏🏽!!

Excellent the young lady was so professional blurting out does anyone need help, she is a great staff person for the store. I really was in and out getting my hair and glow spray.

Helpful staff, better prices than Hair Town for the items that I purchased.

I enjoy shopping here when I am in the area. They have majority of all the hair supplies needed, plus some. The only disappointment was the lack of hair products for babies, the limited supply for children.

My #1 go to hair store.. Wide variety of merchandise to choose from. They have the most wigs Ive seen in any other hair store in Philly.. Rather it be human or synthetic, lace front, full or half,pink or grey.. They have something for whatever your preference may be.. When it comes to beauty, skin or hair products they pretty much have you covered on everything (men and women). They have lots of beautiful accessories as well. This is pretty much a one-stop-shop and I will continue two have them as my number one hair store in Philly. Staff are very nice,helpfull & talented (if u need help with installs or whatever).. Even the security @ the front door greets ppl who enter. . I love this Beauty Supply store..FYI : I always get so excited when I enter the store & forget to take pics ...

This was my go to store until today. They have a large selection and always have what Iam looking for; however, like another customer mentioned they do not honor their prices. I was purchasing an item that clearly had a bright orange sale sticker for $19.99. There were multiple wigs (same style) on the shelf with the same exact price. There was a manequin above priced at $24.99. Instead of providing good customer and allowing me to purchase it for the price on the product, the manager wanted me to pay for the price on the manequin essentially paying for their mistake. This is poor customer service. I opted not to buy item due to the principle. Its basically false advertisement. He could have allowed me to purchase the items and simply fixed the mistake as most stores would have done. The manager rather lose the sale and now a customer too. Sad part is I was purchasing items for a loved one for a funeral. Unfortunately, the customer service sucks. I will not pa the tronage this store for future needs.

Extremely large variety of hair products and everything else you need. Prices are low and the employees are helpful and friendly. I plan to purchase more products very soon

My favorite beauty supply store they have just about everything ! Prices are great and they stay open later than most hair stores.

They do not honor when a product is sitting under a sale sign. I had a list of things to get and one of the items came up more than what the sign said, however I was told o well. There was even a witness there, who overheard and cosigned that she also seen the product under the sign, still the manager said he would not fix it.When I mentioned I was spending over $100 in the store so why cant they honor and fix that one product, I was told $100 is not anything.So since my money is not important or valued to them, I will go somewhere else. This was my go to store, but for now on ill just order what I need online or go to the hair store in Cheltenham. Everything is priced correctly and everyone is friendly and helpful in Cheltenham.

DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!! I was accused of stealing because the scanner went off ... security tried to do a pat down and I declined after he preceded to put his hands on me I decided to get a refund they took 30 mins to give a refund because they had to wait for the “manager” to check the cameras to verify if I actually stole or not “ once it was confirmed they gave the refund and didn’t even apologize for the events that took place one employee tried to come across the counter and assault me because I kept repeatedly ask for a refund... DO NOT SHOP HERE THEY ARE RASIST AND IGNORANT

Customer service sucks here. Employees are annoyed when asked questions about products. I greet them & crickets. One flat out told me, ” oh I don’t know”. On two separate occasions. I had to suggest that she find an employee who did know. Security is too extra. They assume every customer is a thief. No matter how much is spent. The workers here need a crash course in customer service.

Very unprofessional and closes earlier than what is written on the website. The site says closing time is 8:30. I got to the store by 8:12 and they locked the door and refused to allow me to shop. I will not go back to this store again

Rising sun Beauty Outlet was good just went to get some Grow Strong Shea Butter cream that grows your hair and it only cost $5.99 a jar and it really works because it really makes your hair grow..so I will give it a star rating 5

So far so good! They have alot of selections in hair pomade, barrettes, hair, and everything else. They are fast and nice as well

The workers are rude they don’t like to help nobody find nothing the security guard horrible. They don’t have returns which is very dumb nor do they have exchanges. I DO NOT recommend shopping there

I called the store 3 times to see if it was open due to COVID-19, each time I called they would answer but once I inquiry if they are open for business so I can drive 20 mins from my home to purchase hair bundles the staff/owner deliberately hang up. Due to their unprofessional behavior and lack of customer service. I will go to another beauty supply store.

I love this store. It has everything and amazing prices.

I know the wig workers for years because I was going there more than 3 years. They helped me, quick service, not too hard to find help, varieties products, they be friendly with you and be honest with you. The ladies that work in the front of the store dont greet you as much and the cashiers is cool but a little inpatient. I like it nevertheless the sale associates in the front will help you, but they need to be corrected for lack of customers service.

This store is a bit on the high side with pricing of some things but they always have a vast selection of things not found in other hair stores. So i suppose it evens out in the end.

Very large store, lots of brands to choose from in hair care products. The back area is all hair and wiggs and extensions. Not sure if theres a salon back there or not. I here ppl talking about one, but never went that far in too see for myself. Wouldnt be surprised if there was, theres plenty of space for it.

I was there when I was going through cancer treatments and wearings wigs. The staff could not have been nicer and was extremely helpful. One person in particular really went the extra mile to help me and I will always remember her for that.

So I started purchasing products from this beauty supply store because I liked the customer service. That changed today, i revisited and was treated as if i was going to steal and when i complained they made excuses for the employee. Lastly their true colors showed when i left and ironically the teller left a sensor in my bag. They just lost a customer, no thanks.

Bought 2 human hair wigs from that store at a good price and they lasted long I loved it definitely going back..!

This place is huge. Aisles and Aisles full of hair. The people who work there are helpful. They did not have the brand of hair that I wanted though.

So far this place has everything I go in looking for. Recently went in and wanted rose water. I was looking for a bigger bottle I asked an employee if they had a bigger bottle, he was busy so he asked a nearby employee to help me out and she immediately said that she was busy without looking up from what she was doing. It only takes 2 seconds to help a customer out and to not even acknowledge me after he kindly asked you to help was plain rude.

I love all things hair/makeup/beauty and this place has it all. There are aisles and aisles of wigs, packaged hair of all kinds, styles, textures, lengths. In the back of the store there is an area where you can be fitted for wigs and hair pieces on the spot. There is so much here, it could be overwhelming!

The Owner is amazing!Ms. Kay!!!Sweet, caring, and supportive.She has a personal relationship with her customers,and supports and donates to Non- Profit organizations in the community.Ive been a customer for over 20 years.

Its a wonderful place to go 🛍 for hair and all kinds of things you need with all different hair style you want like hair cream brush comb and stuff to make u smell good earrings necklaces bracelets whatever you need yourself or family and friends. And the people there are friendly and nice wouldful to the people who come in. Great place to go get your 💇.

This beauty store is great because they have a large selection. Its very hard not to find what u need. The only problem is they have this 1 Haitian clerk that works the register and shes loud, rude and very unprofessional. She brings the store down. Shes very ghetto.

I love this place they always have what I’m looking for especially in smaller sizes. But i wish they would stay open longer on Sundays like Roses next door does.

This place is a horrible excuse for a business. I walked around for 15 mins with no help, nobody ever greeted me. I walk to the register where one person was just standing there and the other was eating. The one eating told me they didnt have what i was looking for an the other girl said they did and gave me an aisle which I went to but she never walked back to see if I found it. The customer service up front sucks and they didnt seem to care when I came to the front complaining. I will never visit this bump again!!!!!

Good customer service. I came here looking for Senegalese twists and received exceptional service. Prices are a little bit higher than Beauty Time across the street but the selection is much larger.

The Asian wig MANAGER “Sue” is super unpleasant! Her disposition... straight NASTY! 😫 There are close to 1000 wigs on display and she’s following me around & rolling her eyes at me, because I tried on like 4 wigs. The policy is: Only allowed 3 try ons😩 How am I supposed to decide with all these freakin wigs!!! She better chill!!! 🤷🏽‍♀️

Warning🚫some of the wigs Brazilian are not real they get to tingle&nappy brought 3wigs from this store and the hair is no good for the price if the hair........the store is nice & big.

Customer service is lacking. The employees walk by without speaking and inquiring if a customer needs assistance. The employees at the register does not reply with consumer says thank you. The cashiers should say thank you to the consumers. Employees are a reflection of management.

I was helped as soon as I walked in, the woman was very patient with me, and picked out two beautiful wigs.

Today 2-12-17...Security guard informs me that the store is closed 5 mins before closing time.. all I wanted was lashes.. he just caused them to lose a customer... on top of that I saw him allow other customers into the store after he told me they were closed.

This store sells a lot of name brand household products among other items super cheap! I buy here all of the time and save so much money on bed linen, laundry detergent, toiletries and more.

I called to find out what promotions they had on their wigs, since l am nearly 45 mins and a state away. The woman on other end stated they dont give out their promotions over the phone. It was a rather unprofessional and odd statement to make. What was the secret? So, you just show up and hope they have good deals? Although l am the daughter of immigrants, l can see how people tend to back away from these Korean/Chinese hair-care businesses, because you expect a certain standard of service. I already am reluctant to buy from them. Wish l could find a black or american - owned hair care venues. ;-(

I went here to buy my first wig. Nai was very helpful & explained everything I needed to know as a beginner. They apparently only allow customers to try on a total of 3 wigs. Being my first time, Nai let me try on 6. The store wasnt busy. I chose the 5th one, it was perfect! Then Su (a coworker) walked up & gave her a harsh lecture right in front of me about me trying on over 3 wigs. She was extremely unprofessional & extremely rude to me. I told Su, its my first time, and had I not tried more than 3, I would not be buying the wig. Su didnt care, she would prefer the store not make any money over customer satisfaction. I felt horrible for Nai. That never should have happened, and its not good if they want repeat business. Su really ruined my experience.

I went there today looking for a lace front wig. I searched all over the store and finally found the perfect one. A really nice woman helped me try the display wig and it was perfect. However, when she went retrieve it for me to buy, the particular color I wanted (the same color as the display wig) was out of stock. My bday is tomorrow and I really loved the wig so we asked the manager, Anne Chin, if we could get a discount since the wig was used. She unapologetically said NO and that if I wanted I will have to pay full price. I wasnt looking for any big discount, maybe $5 or so, but she refused to budge and told me that there wigs are already way underpriced and that I wont find wigs that cheap anywhere else. The wig was $50 dollars and it was synthetic and I know for a fact that other stores sell it around the same price or cheaper. However, what bother me most is her rude attitude and the fact that she wanted me to pay full price for a wig that had already been used multiple times. The rest of the employees agreed with me and were sympathetic to the situation but Mrs. Anne Chin seemed to care less. Unfornately, I do not think I will return there again nor will I recommend it to any of my friends or family.
