Friendly and helpful. but deceptive. The four tires I bought were advertised as being less than $70 a piece ($280 total.). But the bill had four different types of added fees that added $180 to the price.

Terrible customer service after we tried to get an issue resolved. The from desk lady Rhonda was nice at first but then when we asked for clarification on an issue ( alignment specialist was late and then never showed so she said my appointment had to be rescheduled after I had already been waiting for over 30 minutes. Then she stated I needed to call before I came in to make sure that he was actually there to do the alignment.) when we tried to call back later to talk about what happened and express our frustration on the fact that we had make an appointment that they weren’t keeping because an employee didn’t show, she hung up on us. We’ve brought serval cars to this location and never had a problem until that day. We will no longer be going back to that location. When your store has an issue that is your fault it’s 100% up to you to make it right and all she did was cause more in-convince.

I have been dealing with this company for years, never had an issue until the sales guy talked me into a flex shopper deal for some tires that I DID NOT NEED. One day later my car was in a terrible accident and the car was totaled. Left me stuck paying a bill for tires that I didn’t use for 24 hours. Never use them again or do business with Flexshoppers EVER AGAIN!!!

The GM, James McGowens was great. He was able to quickly identify with my needs and offer me the best deal he could do on the set of four tires I wanted. Short staffed, these guys are working hard to service customers as fast as they can. Fair price, good service.

James McGowens and crew are very professional and caring about the customers needs. James also offered me a program in which I didnt have to pay upfront when the repairs became pricey. So grateful that I went there. They have great customer service and thoroughly explained everything to me. I didnt feel bamboozled, he was very honest and gave me options. I used to go there but I stopped due to poor customer service and lack of professionalism, since James is there and has made the necessary changes that store is AWESOME. I will be back.

Brian is AWESOME!! I was getting my tires changed down the street at Walmart & I had a lug nut that they couldnt get off. Walmart suggested that I go to an all service auto place to get the lug nut off & then come back. I went to NTB & Brian helped me immediately, was super nice, got me right in less than 2 minutes, and had me on my way! I highly recommended Brian & this NTB location!

Not What I Thought They are Really Expensive

Excellent experience from the panicked phone call I had to make on 95 to the service I received from the entire crew here at NTB.Driving up north from Florida and hit pothole on 95 that threw my balance all out of wack. Called and spoke to James who told me bring it over we’ll get you right in. I walked in asked for James and man he wasn’t lying. My truck was in the bay in less than 10 minutes. My truck is a F250 and a bit heavy in the front end for the lift but Tommy and Clarence went WAY above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of and safe to get down the road. I originally was going to get an alignment and rotation but due to the weight of my vehicle I was only able to do the balance. Tommy took the time to explain the balance process to me and showed me how far off my wheels were. I really appreciated that and the up front HONESTY as far as not being able to get the other services due to the limitations of the equipment.You hear of nightmares of shops taking advantage of out of town travelers, DEFINITELY NOT THE STORY HERE!!!!!!Super professional crew!If I lived in the area I would use this shop for my needs.Thank you guys for being open and for helping me out.You guys turned a stressful situation for me into a very positive experience.If I could give out 20 stars for a review I would!!!Again James,Tommy, and Clarence THANK YOU!!!!

They need more techs, but the over burdened employees they have did their best and I was satisfied.

Didnt have the tires I wanted after I was told that they did .Didnt install my tps sincers that I need Didnt know this until after the fact .couldnt do my front end alignment because they were out of gas .bottom line very bad business

Stopped here for an emergency tire replacement while traveling to Richmond. Excellent customer service. Marcus was very helpful. Would definitely come back here if the need arose.

When my car broke down on I-95, I was worried that I wasnt familiar with any of the mechanics in the area to know which ones did good work and could be trusted not to take advantage. But I lucked out when I had my car towed to NTB. They stayed late to try and get me back on the road and when they werent able to get it fixed the same day, took such great care of me that I felt more like family than a random customer.I really cant say enough good things about these guys, but if youre looking for a good mechanic in the area -- give them a try!

I called on yesterday to schedule an appointment to come today for 2 tires and an alignment. I gave the representative the size of the tire and he only had 1 tire but stated he would have get the other tire in before my scheduled appointment. I came for my 11:00 am appointment and 2 hours later they only have 1 tire on the car because they are waiting for the tire to arrive. No one ever provided me with this information until I asked and they knew that I was waiting. Had I known this, I would have simply rescheduled my appointment! If the representatives in the shop werent goofing off and using profanity then maybe someone could have taken the time to relay this information to me without being prompted.

Had an inch long tear in my tire, called Merchant to confirm that they had my size tires. They confirmed they had my tires in stock and said they would be able to install today. When I arrived they were friendly and began working on my car immediately. Great prices, friendly and prompt service! Would come back.

Very friendly and professional shop manager there named Marcus.. when i got there he was the only person running the store and only had 2 guys in back. there were other customers there already.. he told me it would be done at 12:15 and it was almost 11 then. i personally didnt think it would be ready with all the people waiting and such short staff. But it was leaving the driveway at 12:09. Not only that, i think he did most of the work considering his name was on my state inspection paper as the inspector. i did have to get wipers, 2 bulbs, and secure my battery (very detailed inspection) but i am 100% satisfied. i am so impressed. What a bunch of losers working in and running the shop. i took my car in for a simple transmission axle seal replacement because the dealer told me it was seeping. i leave over 1000.00 dollars less and i have a leaking axle seal, then my axle pops out and i have to be towed back. the put a new axle in and forgets to put fluid back in, i have to come back again to add fluid. then i have to come back so they can install another seal. Tommy Young messed if up originally. then John Cook messed it up. Robert Willson was the service manager that i dont know what lies he told to get that job, but he definitely isnt a service manager. And the i talk to the big guy at the counter and he just looks at you like he is confused where he is. All of them need to be drug tested. Where is Ron Banks or Marcus? This place is going down hill fast.

Came here to have my inspection done on my work van also to get an oil change and tires rotated. In about 2 hours I get a call saying my van slipped off the lift and now the driver side door needs to be replaced. How do you do this? They said the lift wasnt placed right and thats what caused it to fall. You had one job. They are paying for it, but its not just the door, the step on the inside is bad too. I will not be coming back here. They also didnt rotate my tires and didnt give me a next oil change sticker

Came here to get my brakes worked on. After paying almost $1000, a month later my abs light, brake light and tire pressure light came on. I took it back and they said a brake fluid line had not been tightened that they fixed it. Driving home the light came back on I called and they said the light had not been reset Took it back the next day and then they said they reset the light but it had come on again. They let me know that an abs sensor was damaged and wanted $300 to fix it. Something they obviously messed up in the first place. No thank you.

Poor customers services from tech, act as if he was doing me a favor, been going to merchants for the last 5 years now this is the worse one. Sorry but Im done never again. Some hiring need to be done an new worker who can and knows how to treat customer rude tech. Seems to me that he has problem at home please dont take it to work sir. Im a paying customer I just request my keys back and left will go somewhere else. Smh...

Horrible customer service. Rude and lied about there being any place close by that could do inspections when his tech was not working. Went in three times and all three times no mechnics available for inspections. If you want a great place close to here go to Ronnies Automotive. Great service at a far far far better price.

I came to post a review about my visit there on saturday 1/5/19, and i noticed a gentleman i was talking to had already posted a lot of negative stuff. i am actually the gentleman he was referring to that had been there for a long time. But i was ok with it because i was informed upfront that there was a lot of vehicles and appointments ahead of me and they actually offered me a ride home. he states in his post i was here for 3 hours when he came, in fact i was only here for 1 1/2 and he was only here for 2 hours and 45 minutes. car tires dont even come with 21/32 of tread as he said his had, they come with 10/32 to 11/32 max. as he was talking to me he was bragging how his car was gonna pass inspection and im not a mechanic and could see his tires looked as if he put them on used caused they were dry rotted as could be..I hate to see a business get negative reviews on something that is a total lie. he tried to get everyone to write a negative review because his junk failed inspection and i see another customer followed his lead, i am not. it took a while but i was informed prior and SO WAS EVERYONE ELSE. I was gonna give them a four star but since he posted such a misleading post i think i should tell the truth and give them a five star. i apologize for other peoples post and i know the truth as do you guys. Thanks for repairing my vehicle correctly the first time. by the way i noticed all the negative reviews is by people getting state inspections, and from what i saw when i was there all of them deserved rejection stickers. guess NTB is doing inspections correctly.

Place is absolute garbage went to get my car inspected was told a 3 hour wait with one car in front of me. Took over 4 hours for them to fail my vechile in 20 mins. They claimed my ball joints were bad that I had tread showing from my tires yet I had 21/32 tread left on the tires and I needed new brakes. After finding out they failed the previous 6 cars 1 being a 2017 I should of flagged the place. That being said 2 tires lower ball joints and front brake pads they quoted me almost $2000 dollars. I do not suggest this place they are a bunch of jack legs. Not to mention the guy I was sitting with in the lounge was waiting 3 hours already for work to be done when I arrived to find out the mechanic took his vechile apart and didnt know how to fix it and they were waiting for another mechanic to come to try to fix a simple issue.Update* ball joints are worn but not bad enough to not pass inspection, brakes and tires were 100% legal that being said got quotes from certified dealers cost of repairs was over half what that NTB quoted DO NOT GO HERE

Came in for an inspection three cars in front of me 4 hours later still waiting the one who does inspections thank you likes to walk around and do nothing my family member owns a shop the 42 Bays they get a car done in about 30 minutes I will go there but too far to drive suggest for you not to go to NTB

Worst ! Worst ! Worst ! If there was a zero start option i would give it to them ! Went there to install headlight bulbs, and it took them an hour to change the bulbs which is absolutely fine . But the had messed up all of my other parts while installing the bulbs ! Who’s gonna pay for those damn stuffs ? They don’t even know how to take out a screw and if they do but they cannot put it back in ! Was Saying i can’t took it out, it will be stuck there for some ! Never going back there ! Not recommended to go people there if you want to keep your car straight !

When I first walked in, they walked past me like they didnt notice me. Then had me waiting at the front desk for ten mins and when finally coming out to see what I wanted, the man came out looking like he had an attitude. I had a schedule appointment if theyre not going to take people during their scheduled appointment then they shouldnt give the option.

If you are in a rush, this isnt the place to go. Took my mothers car there to get an inspection, was there for hours on top of hours; not because they were busy but because they do a lot of sitting around running their mouths instead of working. By the way, they rejected my moms car (for a second time) saying something new was wrong with it after we fixed the things from the first rejection. Straight RIP-OFF!

Went in for a state inspection and oil change.. The gentleman at the counter was very upfront and honest about the inspection process and what all is checked for Virginia. i watched them through whole process and everything was done with care and even torqued my lugnuts back when the put them back on. I must admit i was skeptical by the reviews of going there but that was the only place i could find to do my inspection.. as i arrived an angry man was leaving because his car failed inspection. in all honestly it looked like it shouldnt be on the highway so i went in anyways. im glad i did. i dont have anything bad to say about this place. oil change was done perfect with no smell afterwards like i normally gets for a while. the have a poster up that says what is checked for inspection and they check it all.Kudos to these guys.. im definitely going back.

Walked in .. The place wasnt busy, didnt get greeted or even a be right with you for 12 mins. Then it took 1 hour and 27 mins for a oil change and tire rotation. Definitely not wasting my time again.

Let me start off by saying this Merchants auto tune service, has have to be one of the WORSE Businesses Ive been to in awhile. First, I enter the Merchants, as I walk to the counter there was an employee eating Sunflower Seeds that was servicing me. Before coming to Merchants, I called to Merchants because I want to get an oil change as Im on the phone with the Manager, telling him that I have a coupon for and oil change and tire rotation for about 20 dollars. The Manager says ok bring it in we do the high mileage for the same price.At that time Im at another Auto tune business but they had a better price so, as Im talking to the Employee, that is eating Sunflower Seeds, as we are speaking he says,that Im lying and he never heard of that so, the Manager comes around the corner and say Yeah, Ook we can do that. It took 3 hours for me to get my Vehicle back and I arrived at the business 8 am that morning.When I got my vehicle back the MANAGER, brings the key to the counter and his pocket is full of Change, after he gets out of my car and he for some reason was acting weird. I get in my Car and find ALL OF MY CHANGE missing out of the Holder that I had just filled the day before. And as Im looking at my receipt they charged me 35 dollars and they didnt even Rotate my tires. I called up to the business the Next day a lady answers the phone gets an attitude Because I said something was missing from my car. ITS SAFE TO SAY I WILL NEVER GO TO MERCHANTS AGAIN if I dont have too.

Went to NTB of a 2008 Honda Accord to see if my car will pass inspection with all the negative reviews got there when the store open was out within an hour all I need it was a couple of windshield wipers which I change every 6 months I think it was a fair
