My Velde experience was great. Beth in the office was very kind, professional and answered all my questions and concerns. Keith Minor, service advisor was great, he kept me informed regarding the repairs needed for my vehicle. Keith, also let me know exactly what the warranty company would pay and the amount that was my responsibility before I picked up my vehicle. Also, I was very happy I was given a loaner vehicle to use until my vehicle was repaired.Thank youSharon

I had an issue with a fuel leak on my truck on Saturday. Being from out of town and on a tight schedule, I was in need of help. After talking with other dealers on the same road, without success, I came to Velde Cadillac-Buick-GMC and talked with Chris Ragusa. He was able to provide me some tools from a technician and a remnant piece of a fuel line so I could repair the problem and get back on the road. Ilooked at gmc.com and I found a car that I liked. I called Steve. Steve FaceTimed me and did a video so I could see the inside and the outside of the car. I am two hours away from this dealership. His attention to detail and customer service was phenomenal. I went to drop my child off at Western Illinois University And I stopped by the dealership. I was able to test drive the vehicle and purchased it. The entire transaction took about one hour. It is the fastest deal I have ever made. I have purchased many vehicles and nothing ever went this smooth. I wish this dealership was closer to my home. Brian in the finance department was also excellent. He explained everything in detail. I am very impressed with the dealership and I will recommend it to others even though it is two hours away

Our entrance started a bit cluncky, we had a set appointment, but arriving at the Dealership, nobody seem to know. After 10 min. we were directed to a Salesperson. From that point on everything went very well. Our sales contact person was Steve Yerbic, he took really good care of us.Addendum: now 10 days later, I had an appointment to fix a minor detail. After arriving at the Dealership, I was told that the person who would work on the car was not in this day.. I drove 1.5 hrs (roundtrip) for this appointment, nobody had the courtesy to call me ahead of time to re-schedule the appointment.

I came in for a simple oil change. My car was over filled with oil. I was not happy as I left and it was smoking and sputtering. Im not entirely sure how they drove it to the lot for me to pick up without realizing their mistake as I noticed it almost instantly. I returned to the shop and it was fixed immediately but as I indicated I noticed it instantly and I would have assumed a trained professional would have as well. I was a little put out by the excuses that were used. I wasnt even offered a free oil change. I had to ask for one. I should have been refunded my money and offered a free change as well. Just bad business. I will possibly rethink using this shop for the reason that they did not notice immediately their mistake.

I had a scheduled 11am appointment for an oil change/tire rotation/5000 mile regular service. It took over 90 minutes for my service to be completed. Thats not the irritating part. The irritating part is that when I received my truck and my service summary, it was clear that little attention was given to the maintenance of the truck. The tire treads were marked good at 8 and 9 which was interesting because thats what they were over 5000 miles ago. The battery was tested as Good when I knew that it was nearing its end of life. I ended up taking the car to another service center to have the battery tested and it failed with flying colors. I was offered to bring the Yukon back and Velde would complete the 27 point inspection, but I didnt have another 90 minutes for an appointment plus travel to complete what I had already paid for. Im deeply disappointed and Ill need to consider other options.

I took my car in for another service appointment and receive another excellent service and customer experience at the dealership in return. I dropped off my 2016 Buick Regal at the dealership on Tuesday. I was promptly greeted and checked into the system. I was able to obtain a loaner car, which is very convenient since I work nearly an hour round trip from the dealership. The service rep contacted me numerous times throughout the day to provide an update on my car. The service department handled all the issues that I reported and went above and beyond to detect a minor issue with my vehicle by riding with me to discover it. I commend this dealership to taking the extra step to make sure that I receive an exceptional customer experience while servicing my car. Thanks!

While I was there I brought up that the battery was the original one (6 yrs old) and ask the service advisor, Chris Ragusa, if he thought it was time for a new one. He was forthright with his advise and so I had them install a new one while I was there. He’s very professional and tactful, without being pushy. I think he is excellent in his job.

Person who changed my oil did NOT WEAR A MASK or gloves and told me he did NOT wear masks. The service manager did not have a mask on at first and when I questioned him about it, he said mask was in his office. He did go get a mask when I asked him to. I would not recommend this place and I am not going back!!

Just drove over 100 miles to test drive a vehicle at Velde, even made an appointment for 8:00 on a Saturday (as soon as they open)!Show up at 8:00 to another couple test driving it? What’s the point of making an appointment for as soon as you open up???VERY SHADY, if you set an appointment, you shouldn’t have ANY issues or have to wait... After a terrible experience at Dennison’s Chevy service Dept. we made the decision to come to VELDE GMC for service on our Chevy traverse. I have nothing but great things to say about the service we received from Velde. They provided my wife with a great loaner vehicle for the day while they did the work on our traverse and the people in the service Dept were great to deal with. They made the whole experience easy and pleasant. The traverse was fixed right and for the exact amount quoted,They will now do all of our vehicles maintenance and they will be my first place to go this summer when we upgrade one of our cars.

I have a 2008 Torrent from Velde GM, and I absolutely love it! When I lived in Illinois, we frequently had it serviced there as well, and it was always a great experience. They have a comfortable customer lounge, and they are always quick with their service. They are very proactive on keeping you up to date with what is going on with your vehicle, which is great. I would 100% recommend this dealership. They are great people to work with!

Due to a family illness had to move up the day of purchase at the last minute, they went and picked up the vehicle and had it ready for me when I got there. Beware! Watch out for misrepresentation. We called on a used car to ensure availability. After it was confirmed by the dealership, we shared we would be driving over an hour to see the car. When we arrived, the car had 4K more miles then advertised (Misrepresentation #1). Additionally, we were told on the phone that the vehicle was only used as a demo car; however, when we arrived we were told it was being driven by the owner’s wife (Misrepresentation #2). The car description said “*CLEAN VEHICLE HISTORY*’; however, when we arrived it was very obvious paint work had occurred on the front bumper (Misrepresentation #3). By far the worst experience we’ve ever experienced at any dealership...ever.

Was 2 hours away from home for a softball tournament. Reverse seemed to have went out on my escalade. The service department looked it over and determined I had no issue and it all seemed to have worked itself out. My car was totaled the beginning of September. With a very short window and opposite schedules, my spouse and I started the dreaded hunt for a new vehicle. My spouse was first to go to Velde and was introduced to Greg Stewart. That evening I had the pleasure of meeting him after work... HE WAS AWESOME!!! He worked very closely with both of us, dealing with our opposite schedules, constantly changing price ranges, desires in vehicles, dealing with insurance, etc. He would text us, email us pictures, take multiple laps around the lot searching for the perfect car for me... it took about a week to two weeks and he found my new (to me) GMC Envoy. Shortly after buying the vehicle, the engine light came on. He brought me in, gave me a rental while the service dept. worked on my vehicle. They had my car repaired that afternoon and graciously worked with me on the cost. By the time we were done with Greg, we felt like we not only got a new car, but a new friend as well. He even remembers the name I gave my Envoy and asks how she is doing when I call! I have dealt with some good car salesmen in the past, but Greg takes the cake! I have already referred a few people to him and will continue to pass along how awesome Greg and Velde GMC of Pekin are! Total top notch customer service all the way around. Everyone was super friendly. After September began so terribly, Greg and Velde made it end fantastically!! Thank you Greg!!!

Your service employees do not listen. I explained in detail twice the issues I was experiencing with my Yukon Denali, yet still had to make multiple trips (I live 30 min away) due to poor communication. Dealer did not have correct parts ordered to fix issue. Had to make two trips to complete the work. Wanted to blame GMC instead of being accountable for the issues and delivering solid customer service.

We couldnt find the 2012 SRX with the right color combination and options in our area so I took a look on Velde Cadillacs website and they had one very close to what we were looking for.I was able to work remotely with their staff and the entire transaction went great. We purchased a brand new GM Truck and my husband went in to get his oil changed and tire fixed. It took 2 hours and he was the only one in waiting room. We did not purchase our truck at this dealership and we where assured that the very expensive warranty we paid for can be used at any GM Dealership. 3 different employees asked, Did you purchase your truck here and my husband said no. Maybe thats why he had such terrible service. When my husband went to check out, the gal at the service desk told him he had to have paperwork that states he has coverage since he did not purchase his truck at Velde GM. She told him he would have to pay for the service which was covered. My husband had to argue with this person for 10-15 minutes and finally went out to his truck and provided a card with phone number from the dealership we purchased the truck. When she was told by the person on the phone that the warranty was online it took her only 2minutes to find it. They dont deserve 1 star! We will not be back!
