Applied for a training position yesterday cause I was told it was the place to go to learn. After taking the test, and being green in manual and cnc work. I got an interview with the owners son. About 15 minutes into the conversation he keeps staring out the window (clearly checked out) and starts coloring on my application. I tell him that I want to be with a company that will value me, and allow me to learn more than my current position (burni cnc). He then tells me that Im asking to much to be in training, and that my current job is to easy. Why would I want to do more for what Im being paid at? Point is is to see value in yourself and get what you know you could be worth. This is whats wrong with America not being valued enough and being paid enough to live. Do not waste your time with this place if you want to be paid your worth. They start at 9 dollars machining. The highest they pay is 18 with 8 years experience.
