Chad is the best!! Very thorough. Reasonable (but def not cheap) prices. He warranties his work! Go see him...u wont be disappointed. I wont trust my car to anyone else. The reason I didnt give a perfect 5star is ... business hours. Im used to service hours 730am-7pm. He operates 9-5, pretty much. Note, the hours obviously arent a big deal though, bc like I said,, I dont trust anyone else to repair my car.

I Dont know or care about what some other irrelevant mechanic from some other shop has to say about Chad. Chad had my BMW a few days ago and he took great care of it. He was very kind to me. His prices to repair everything that I needed done were very fair. I appreciate that a lot. He knew what he was doing. He didnt try to rip me off. He didnt mess anything up. He was very clear about what needed to be done. He did it in a timely manner and handled my car with care. He didnt try to say something was wrong with my car that wasnt, even when I thought the problem was worse than it actually was. That really matters. He was very patient with me in regards to making my appointment as well as picking up my vehicle. I will keep going to Third Coast Bimmers for anything I need regarding my vehicle. I highly recommend this place.

I took my car to Third Coast Bimmers for an alignment and bushing replacement two years ago. Chad Kelly did a great job! I didnt have any problems with those two issues. He gave me a fair price and answered all my questions prior to doing the work. For car repairs, I think it is important to wait for some time before posting a review to make sure the work is good. My car has been running well and I have not needed repairs since then. Based on my experience, I would highly recommend Third Coast Bimmer and consider bringing my car there the next time I need a repair. One downside is he doesnt offer a shuttle or loaner car service which is an inconvenience but a reasonable trade off for the high costs of the dealership.

Chad is a certified master mechanic with decades of experience. I found him online as an alternative to the BMW dealer...one of the best decisions Ive made. I no longer have BMWs, but he has worked on my Fords, Hondas and GM products. Always diagnoses correctly, estimates correctly and finishes when he says he will. Oh, and always used OEM parts. Trust him completely

Once again Chad delivers. I had my 2012 Jaguar XJL in his shop for a basic 4 wheel alignment. Once it was on the rack he contacted me to inform me that he recommended that I also replace 1 upper control arm and a couple of bushings. Just so I could get a visual I drove to the shop and he gladly showed me the problematic areas- I then agreed to replace all of them. He did a great job and in a timely matter. This is my 3rd time to have my car to Chad and he always does what he says hes going to do, does it right the FIRST time, and communicates with me throughout the process. They sound like basic tasks.........because they are. But, very few shops are capable of performing all of them- CHAD is. If my warranty wont cover it Id never go anywhere else. I also left a positive review on YELP from my first experience. Thanks a million Chad!!

Chad is awesome and this review is late as hell, but my parents purchased me a 2005 BMW 325i with 157k original miles. It was in great condition for the miles cosmetically along with the transmission and electronics. We bought the car for 600 bucks because the original engine was blown. Chad located a long block through LKQ with 59k miles on it and did a full engine replacement along with seals, new coolant, AC freon and a few other tidying up things and he got the car running in time for me to return to school. His prices were great and he warranties everything. I have had zero problems with the car and have been driving for almost a year. Control arm bushings and steering coupler along with power steering pump are next on the list, I will happily be returning to Chad because he makes the money worth it with OEM parts. I trust his judgement and my car with now 164k miles has proven to be reliable entirely because of Chad and his attention to detail and follow up in his work. His oil change prices are beyond reasonable a d should put the dealer out of business honestly. 5 stars all the way around. Dont give up on your BMW until Chad has done some work. Youll get many years out of it depending on your situation.

Chad did an excellent job diagnosing my power steering issue. He also found a coolant leak that I was unaware of and was able to program my new keys for my Mini. I would recommend Chad, because hes honest and very accommodating.

Revision: The big issue here is that Chad was asked to help decipher the electrical issues so we could determine if they even had a transmission issue. Instead he bit the hand that fed him and still didnt get it right.As Chad stated below, they tried to sell the customer a transmission repair and after a lot of trying they couldnt get it fixed. Why? Because he had over 15 codes including p0730, p0736, p2763, p0735, p0729, p0721, p0700, p0705, p0851, u0167, p050b, u0402. With this many codes you very often have an electrical or computer module issue.Lets take a closer look at the facts:U0402 is Invalid Data Received from Transmission Control Module. If it isnt receiving the correct or complete data it isnt going to shift correctly.P0851 - Parn/Neutral Position Switch Circuit Low Voltage - Why isnt it getting enough voltage? Electrical? Computer? If this switch isnt working correctly it will cause it to not start at times and cause shifting issues.U0167 - Lost Communication with Vehicle Immobilizer - Again, if the immobilizer system is having issues, it wont start. How does that justify a transmission rebuild?P050b - Cold Start Ignition Timing Performance - starting issue? Seems to be a common theme. And, in most vehicles the ignition wire and fuse connect into the transmission harness because the transmission needs to know what position and status the ignition is in.Transmission Codes: p0730, p0736, p0735, p0729 are all Gear Incorrect Ratio errors. P2763 is Torque Converter Clutch error. P0721 is Speed Sensor error. P0705 is Transmission Range Sensor Circuit Malfunction (related to the Neutral/Park code above). HIGHLY unlikely to have this many electrical codes caused by an internal transmission issue.So, we wanted Chad to help figure out the electrical first because most likely once he did it would correct most, if not all, of the issues. And, until we could do so we couldnt justify selling a transmission rebuild.As Chad stated, going the transmission route didnt correct his issues and it probably didnt need it.Im not going to address the rest of your comments but, rather, will leave that up to the readers to do their own homework and decide. Finally, we all make bad decisions at times and I really hope this was just one of the mishaps as you really did seem to be genuine when we spoke several times before I sent you some jobs.Im very disappointed having to leave this review. I own a shop in Friendswood. Before I expanded into full auto repair we sent 3-4 foreign cars to Chad to diagnose and/or repair and when we do that we simply refer the customer to the shop instead of saying we can do the work and then outsource it and mark-up the repairs to our customer.Shortly after we expanded into full auto repair we had a Land Rover come in for transmission issues. Our diagnostics turned up a number of other issues including a large number of electrical codes and any of them or the other problems could have caused the transmission to work incorrectly. We didnt want to sell him a transmission repair until we got all the other noise out of the way or at least diagnosed and decided it was best to send it to Chad.Long story short, Chad didnt fix any of the other issues and, instead, sold the customer a transmission repair. The customer got the car back and still had the other issues (he called to let us know) including some shifting problems.The lack of professionalism, morals and character is astounding and disappointing all at the same time. When I expanded into full auto repair the first thing I did was to go to the shops that were sending me transmission work and I reassured them I would never try to steal a customer they had sent to me. Weve had several sent to us that didnt end up being transmission issues and we always refer them back to the shop that sent them to us. Its the ONLY right thing to do.Im really disappointed in you, Chad. I thought you seemed like a decent person but this tells me you put profits over doing whats right and that is a deal breaker for me.
