I have had the best customer service at Midas in Waimalu today from John the mechanic and Gina the smiling friendly face at the front desk! I always take my car to another place or the dealership and couldnt get in today. Had immediate need. They took me right in and handled the problem expertly! I will definitely be back!
My first time using Midas pearl city but I usually use Waipahu “way better”! The lady at the front desk was very disgruntled and had poor customer service. She said they don’t make appointments over the phone so I walked in. I wasn’t getting anywhere with her so I talked to Ricco the manager and he had great customer service and gave me an appointment at 3pm. So I started questioning the lady at the front “I thought you don’t do appointments”? Then she forgets to give us our registration and title for 5 days and never gave us a courtesy call to let us know. We had to find out on our own! Worst Midas experience ever. I’m never coming back.
I used Midas Waipahu services many times in the past. And its always been great. I expected the same from Pearl City branch but the experience was entirely different. I made an appointment for a safety check. The gentleman on the phone, i believe his name was John, was very nice and courteous. The only good part of this review. I arrived for my appointment 10 min early. Checked in with the lady in the office. Shes not welcoming, not friendly and very lack in customer service. Theres no waiting area because of COVID, which i understand. I asked her if theres anywhere in the surrounding area that i can hang out and wait. She replied, yes, outside.Then she said it wont be that long. My car was not even moved from the parking spot until 30min past my so-called appointment. Why bother scheduling people if you cant do it on time? If youre behind on something, Id understand. At least acknowledge me! After service, they left my car and my keys in the dock and still no one acknowledged me. I went back in the office to pay for it and left. I get that youre a mechanic shop n customer service might not seem important to you but this is not the way to treat a paying customer. Never again will i use your service.

Went for a safety inspection and they squeezed me in without an appointment and then patiently waited while my insurance took their time sending me my insurance card. Parking is limited, appointments are recommended and I will be back for other services
They don’t wear masks, mechanics or indoor staff, while interacting with me and while getting in my vehicle. Very pushy for new tire install, almost seems like they were scaring me into buying, I knew my tires were bad shape, but It still left with a bad taste for them. I’ve used other mida’s locations and never left feeling like that.
Great customer service, was in and out in under 30 minutes! However, I feel $97 is a bit steep for an oil change; $62.49 synthetic oil change, $22.50 Labor, $8.49 shop supply, $4.40 tax. Did not do anything “extra” without asking first, which most places DON’T do. They take coupons, but no military discount. They do get busy so call first to make an appointment. Overall they’re great, and I’d recommend them to anyone that is unable to change their own oil.

Many years ago Ford across the street recommended a new transmission for my 3 year old car...went to Midas and they replaced a pressure valve for $17 and it worked fine. Just started taking my MDX there for scheduled maintenance and very satisfied.

I have a subaru outback and this is the second time Ive had the car serviced by mark at midas. This time happen to be bad breaks. Everytime Ive give them the car I get the car back in even better condition. I wouldnt take it anywhere else!

Always have been upfront and honest. Prices are comparable and there have been a few times they could have charged me for something I didnt need, but they didnt.

They are slow and uncoordinated on information, but very friendly, VERY affordable, and will try to accommodate your timeline the best they can.
No personal interaction. Not satisfied with their oil change. Did not rotate and check tire air pressure. Oil change charge a little to expensive.
Expensive Diagnostics just replace some spark plug wires.
Rico the manager makes that Midas a place yiu can trust for repairs and servicing cars.
