Oh. This is hands down one of my favorite places in Pasadena. When I arrived, I was soo shocked by how cute and amazing this place looks both within and outside. Outside there are a good amount of tables to sit outside and enjoy the fresh air with your beverage. Inside people are either on their laptops or conversing at the 4 or 5 tables inside. The pink matcha is a must try. I recommend coming here by yourself with a book, or bring a friend or date for a great time. Great job Coffee And Plants, I will be back.

I am never disappointed with the food here! A few of my favorites include the blueberry and poppy muffins, the charcoal latte, the rose bowl latte, and the avocado toast on the weekend! Who knew eating vegan couple be so yummy! 😋 😋

I loved it. From my experience parking was close I didn’t have to cross the street, if heading facing the street so it was overwhelming. And coffee was amazing. I also got a pastry which was also amazing. Staff was very sweet!

The place was a really cute to be at. But I did not like the food nor the drink there. I dont recommend anyone to eat hear at this place to be honest.The reason why is because the Chai latte tasted too spicy and not sweet. I felt like I was eating something that was burnt. The pumpkin Pie there was not good at all, it tasted very salty and buttery. I couldnt taste the pumpkin in it at all.

This place is so LA & I mean that in both a bad (unfortunately) & a good way.ITEMS ORDERED:The Zion (cold brew, orange syrup, almond cream, orange peel for garnish)Pink Matcha (matcha, hibiscus syrup, beet juice for color)The current in store menu does not have descriptions on drinks with names you would not be able to guess what they were. You have to scan their QR code for a more detailed menu. Small complaint....but they should just have drink details on the in store menu since it just slows the ordering process down in general because many people would probably still end up asking questions about drinks.TASTE:This place is 100% plant based which I like. So for any drinks with milk they give an option of oat or almond milk. Ordered both the drinks with almond milk.The Zion pretty much tastes like a weak cold brew with a splash of milk & slightly sweetened. I like strong coffees so Im quick to say a coffee needs more strength but I think even most coffee drinkers would find this one too weak. I could kinda detect the flavor of orange but maybe thats just when I read the description. Also, there was no orange zest for garnish on my drink.Pink matcha is basically a well made matcha latte with that LA touch. When it came out the bottom layer looked more purple than pink & with the green layer on top it just is a very pleasing drink to look at, which is what I expected from this place. Matcha flavor is good & present while the hibiscus provides a different (not bad) type of not overpowering sweetness.SERVICE, LOCATION & PARKING:Service was kinda on both ends of the spectrum. The cashier who took my order had that type of what do you want!? in(famous)LA type attitude, didnt even greet or anything. While another girl who gave me my drinks was nice. Also, this place is cash free.The subpar service was even more so highlighted since I went to 2 other new (to me) coffee shops the day before this visit & they had exceptional service. Also, kinda just letdown in general since Ive been wanting to come here for some time now.The interior as well as some exterior of this place is vibrant, green & inviting. Theres 4 very small tables inside with the wall side being booth seating style. Theres more available seating available out front.For a place thats 100% plant based in Pasadena I kinda thought theyd have paper or bamboo straws or something. But they have the usual plastic.They are located on Union St in Old Town Pasadena which as you may know, provides quite the parking experience. More specifically they are in the One Colorado shopping area very close to the iPic theater & Sushi Roku.It you get lucky youll find really close by (metered) street parking. But more than likely youll need to park at the De Lacey Parking Structure which is not too far of a walk. They provide 90 minutes free without validation. Its located on De Lacey in between Colorado & Green.Im in Pasadena pretty often & this wasnt the worst (definitely not the best) experience so Im not completely opposed to making a return here. Maybe.

Ok, ok, ok. Let me explain the rating. I LOVE coffee, and I also LOVE beautiful places. While the beauty of this place was one for the best Instagram eye— the coffee was so expensive and disappointing I couldn’t even allow more on the stars. The staff weren’t very welcoming either — so it didn’t help. The menu was vegan centered so I didn’t try any of the pastries. If you’re looking for a cute spot to take pics— try it! Just don’t order a drink! YUCK!

Love this place! I ordered the pink matcha that has rose and beet juice in it and it was perfectly delicious and not overly sweet. I also had the tomato mozzarella flatbread pastry and thought it was tasty and a great savory snack. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and even a little dog bed for your BFF who wants to lounge with you. It’s kinda tucked into an alley, so park wherever and then make your way down Miller Alley rather than going on union etc.

This is a coffee shop that perfectly balances coffee, almond milk (vegan!) and syrup. Every iced latte Ive had has been delicious, and if youre a fan of iced lattes, you know it can be hard to find a coffee shop that really does them well. I usually dislike substituting whole milk for almond milk, because of how much different the two milks taste. But, Coffee and Plants blends the almond milk into the drink so well that Ive actually come to prefer it (vegan, no lactose, etc). Of course, I have to come here, because Coffee and Plants is the only place around that blends them so well. But, Im definitely not complaining - love the plants, love the area, and its just all around a highlight of my week.

The atmosphere is great, and fun to take pictures there. But the drink was not very tasty. It’s mostly just for the aesthetic. I won’t come back since both the drinks were really bad . The service was okay.

This is a cute, small, and nicely decorated coffeeshop. They’re completely plant based and offer oat and almond milk (it’s be great if they’d add soy milk to the menu). I got an iced chagaccino and an iced latte, both of which they did really well. The chagaccino is a fun menu edition that I’ve only seen at one other place. It’s made with chaga mushrooms and various spices.

Really aesthetically pleasing coffee shop. Love that its all plant-based. The baked goods and vanilla latte was amazing!

Aesthetics are great BUT coffee is bland, and it’s a coffee shop... so overall disappointing. My friend got a rose bud latte and it tasted exactly like my vanilla latte.... both very bland and watered down. For the price, Starbucks is WAY better.

This place is so cute! A must visit if you’re in Old Town. If it’s a weekday, it’s a great place to meet up with friends for a coffee. Weekends it’s usually busy so finding a place to sit inside is difficult.

Omg! I love this coffee place! It is perfect and sooo cute. Great staff and customer service. I drove almost 50 mins to get to this specific coffee shop and was not disappointed. The food was amazing ! I had an almond latte which was delicious, however my favorite drink from here is the Blue lavender latte, even though its non caffeinated it was still my favorite. If you happen to visit, I highly recommend getting it.

Im a coffee aficionado, and I can tell you they have the best coffee. I go there at least once a week since I had a cappuccino a couple of months before. Love this shop.

Pretty place, definitely exciting to have a fully plant-based coffee shop and Id like to be supportive. I try to compare coffee shops by ordering similar items so I had the cappuccino with almond milk. It was ok but not particularly flavorful and definitely expensive considering it turned out to be what I would consider a small sized drink and not a memorable one.The croissant could be a bit more moist, but it was the last one left so maybe it wasnt the freshest. Considering how hard it is to find a decent vegan croissant it was pretty good, though, haha...Overall alright, I just wish the coffee was better especially for the steep prices.

My husband and I wanted to try a few new places in the Pasadena area, and while walking around, we came across a sign on the Main Street, saying there were coffee and plants in the back. We followed the sign a little back patio, and came across hands-down the cutest coffee shop I have ever seen. We are both crazy coffee nuts, and we have travelled the world (Germany, Armenia, Dubai, Greece, several states) looking for great coffee shops. This place easily makes the top 5 list. Easily.I’m not a fan of non dairy options, so when the owner, AC, told us everything was dairy free, I was worried I wouldn’t like the taste. He recommended trying oat milk, because it’s the closest to dairy options. My husband got a cappuccino with almond milk, and I got myself an oat milk 24k chocolate latte.The drinks are delicious. Seriously delicious. I could not tell that my drink was missing dairy.We also bought a cute little Coffee & Plants pin, something to take home, and I wanted to spend more money in the cafe.I cannot begin to explain how cute this place is. It’s a little tight, and finding parking is a pain, but once you’re inside it’s hard to want to leave. Highly recommend and I’ll definitely be back.Want to see more photos? Ive really enjoyed my visits to Coffee+Plants. The specialty drinks are really fun. My favorite is the Lavender Latte (blue one in the pic). As a coffee lover, I also appreciate a really great cup of black coffee too. Their blend is one of the best Ive tried and should not be missed.

This place was aesthetically pleasing. I was really excited to try their blue latte based on pictures of other reviews. I ordered it with oat milk and even though it was really pretty to look at, taste wise it disappointed me. The taste was really bland and not worth my money. Beware this drink is non-caffeniated so that is also another strike for me. I would have rated this place higher if it wasnt for the owners sarcasm. My order had already been placed and he approached us asking if we were from Pasadena etc. As we were talking I noticed they had stamp cards at my reach, which are usually offered to the customer when they make a purchase. I simply asked if he could stamp a card so I could come back and he replied very rude No in a very sassy way....I was shocked and replied why not? In my head I thought am I missing something? It took him a few seconds for him to say I mean I could have refused you know? Then he went on saying imagine if I had refused? And I understood he was probably joking but I dont understand why an owner of a new small business would joke around like that with new customers on their first interaction with the place....I could have definitely felt very offended and ask for my money back. Which I didnt but thats the reason I wont be returning to this place. Even aside from the whole owner to customer interaction, the taste of the latte is not worth me going back. I would much rather go to other coffee places like Jameson Brown Coffee Roasters or Copa Vida their lattes are perfection.

The place is very cute and the coffee is good but your staff need to drop the attitude. I went Saturday afternoon and there were only 2 other customers waiting. The cashier was very sweet and helpful as it was my first time there. I paid for my drink and moved to the side/back to wait for it to be ready. Another staff says “can i help you with something?” I replied I was waiting to which says “she (the cashier) told you to wait outside”. Luckily, my drink was ready so I left. Sorry Im partially deaf and didnt know I was supposed to wait outside. Between the partition, masks and music playing its a wonder anyone can hear anything. I won’t be going back.

The plants will still be there.I hadnt actually intended to go here. I was on my way to somewhere else.But... coffee? Plus plants? And everything is plant based?Delicious cappuccinos and lattes.Pretty fly for a cacti.Drinkable gold.This place is amazing. I had entirely too much caffeine.

Its a cute and cozy place! Be aware: its not a large place with lots of seating and plants. Its a very greenly decorated coffee shop that has a really well done plant theme, but dont go expecting to see special botany.

Good coffee spot thats probably way better when itts not covid. The drinks were great but the atmosphere of the shop and the instagrammableness of the drinks are probably much more appealing than the flavors of the drinks themselves.They had some pretty unique coffee drinks with gold, lavendar, and other flavors but they seemed a bit overpriced for a take out drink. Came to support the business during the hard time and try something new but cant wait to be able to sit down outside in the patio and hang out with friends.Parking really isnt great in the area, but theres a garage with one hour free near the apple store around the corner and metered street parking on side streets.Cant wait to try this place again soon!

This is not your topical coffee house. A great place to grab a cup of coffee and chat or do work. The coffee is delicious. I live their latte. This is the most perfect coffee shop to stay for hours!

This place is amazing, such unique lattes Ive never heard of! I tried the superfood latte and not exaggerating it was the best thing Ive ever tasted. Ill definitely be coming back to try the Rose and Lavender lattes. Amazing decor inside, very cozy and the staff was really nice. Would for sure recommend.

This is exactly what the neighborhood needed. Ive worked in the area many times and finally the perfect place for a delicious coffee and treat. Beautifully decorated, great staff, perfect location and vegan! What more can I ask for.

Went here last week and the woman that was working here was so rude and no personality. I even called ahead of time to see what matcha they used and she was even rude on the phone. The matcha is good quality but I will not be going here if Im gonna get bad service.
