I pulled up some online reviews for local shops and was quick to drive over to Transmission Plus before I had further issues.Most shops just throw parts at your problem. In my case, it could have been a new transmission. Trans+ didnt do that. They pulled the code, offered a real diagnosis, and a fair price for the fix. I didnt need a transmission, just a torque converter (2005 Ford Expedition). They had me back on the road a day later!I believe the highest compliment anyone can bestow on a business is a recommendation for others to go and use their services. My transmission threw a code and I stopped in for help. Bob & Jason were quick to help, accessible, and overall very friendly.

My wife noticed that our brakes were fading, so I took the truck to Transmission Plus. They were able to get all 4 done within the day, so I didnt have to get a ride to work the next day.I felt good about their shop initially because they were friendly on the phone and their shop looked very clean and organized when I pulled up. They have a nice big aquarium that my kids loved to look at while I talked to the guy.I would recommend this shop to anyone. They gave me a good price and the service was done as promised, in time.

These guys rebuilt, and repaired my transmission, and had it complete right on time as promised! They provide an excellent guarantee and top craftsmanship, at all times, and all at a very fair price! The vehicle was picked up cleaner than it was when I dropped it off!! It is hard to find an auto shop with the kind of pride in their work like I found with this auto repair shop. I needed a thorough review of an aging vehicle. They performed it on the scheduled day and within a few hours. They clearly outlined what was wrong and which items needed the most attention. The quote was very reasonable based on other quotes I have received. I will go back.

I had a breakdown on I10 assuming that it was my transmission. I called the team @ Transmission Plus & the owner Bob told me to bring err on down. When I arrived at the business they was awaiting with open arms. They made a quick diagnosis of my Hummer H2 (transmission & transfer case rebuild) & went right to work on it. They had the transmission & transfer case out before I left the establishment, I felt like I was at a pit stop. During the repair process I received updates on the progress & an estimated time of completion. Ive been around a tool box repairing vehicles for over 30 years & when I met the mechanics they gave me a sense of comfort, they were extremely professional with their work & advice. The final bill was less than the initial quoted price & with that I am grateful. The truck runs like a well lubed machine Im glad that I chose Transmission Plus!!

If I could give them a negative I would. Spent $700 to replace rear main seal. Didnt give me a call to let me know how long it would take. Always closing the shop before closing hours. Never answered the phone. 3 months later, I took my truck to another shop because it was pouring out fluids from the bottom. This shop didnt replace the seal and/or they didnt put a plate (which is used to have an extra seal). I wouldnt recommend them. EMERALD COAST in Panama City is the best. Honest and liable

I had a transmission replaced about a month ago. Very professional, the quote was fair and came in on budget. The communication was timely. I also had a transfer box issue 2 days ago and they fixed for free. I would recommend them to my family and friends.

We decided to take our aging 2003 Honda Odyssey for one last road trip to the beach this summer. It turned out to be one trip too many for the transmission, alas, and we ended up having to get the transmission replaced while at the beach. While there are no two ways about it that it stinks to get a major car repair down while on vacation, Transmission Plus did a great job taking car of the car and getting us back in business and able to drive home.

I highly recommend Transmissions Plus. Like most people I depend on my automobile to be dependable for work and travel. I have a Hummer H 3 and over the past several years I have had issues with the SUV cranking on a consist basis. It would crank great for weeks, maybe months at a time then it, BOOM! It just wouldn’t start. I would try to crank the vehicle over and over, then maybe 10 minutes or 30 minutes later it would start right up! I took the vehicle to several shops over the last several years…private and dealerships… with no luck. In the shop, everything checked out fine and one dealership even charged me for a new battery, which I did not need and the problem re-occurred a couple of days later.The last time it happened I called Transmission Plus. They were awesome. They called a tow-truck for me and didn’t charge me for the tow. Jason, the mechanic, told he would keep my SUV until he figured it out. He researched the issues that may occur with my model vehicle and felt that he had resolved the issue. He found there was a class-action law suit, but not a recall for a particular problem and went to work ordering the needed parts. It has cranked like a dream ever since!Most recently, my AC blower stopped working and took my car back to Transmissions Plus. The owner, Bob, gave me a courtesy ride home and picked me up when the service was complete. Jason had my car repaired the next day. Come to find out, the following week I received a letter from Hummer stating there was a recall on the very issue and that it could cause a fire within the vehicle. The letter stated that the parts were not available and they would contact me when they became available. Bob is now going to help me get reimbursed from Hummer for the cost of the repairs.This is top-notch shop that is upfront with their pricing and they are trustworthy. I appreciate everything they have done for me to keep my vehicle running. Bob is an avid fisherman and always keeps fresh local caught snapper in the freezer….he told me every time I come in for oil check he would give me some! In fact, I think I need my oil checked! 

Transmission (used) and clutch replaced cost $2600 and part of their work broke before 10 miles and they would gladly make repairs for an additional charge. They refused to stand by their work. Bob told me he could find only one transmission only for $1200 so I got on the Internet and found 5 right away including one which was $600.00 with shipping included that had 5000 miles on completely rebuilt transmission from a 99.5 % seller but he insisted on using the one he found for $1200. He had me over a barrel after telling me he would remove it from the rack and I could come get it. What does that tell you? My advice is not use this business.

The office staff are very friendly and will go the extra mile for the customer. The master mechanic and builder are very professional and courteous. My oil was changed the week of 9/20/12 prior to leaving Atlanta for Panama City Beach, FL for my girlfriends getaway weekend. Midway there my oil light came on. We checked the oil at the rest stop and was low. I put enough oil to get to Panama City and decided not to look for a local Precision Tune due to they are the company in GA that did the original oil change. After checking reviews Transmission Plus came up with great reviews. I took my Lexus SC430 to their shop only to find the mechanic left the old oil ring on the car which caused the oil to leak out due to not sealed properly. Transmission Plus gave great / fast service at a reasonable price! Thanks for your help! I would recommend this shop for all automotive needs very attentive and professional.

These guys got me out of a jam. My transmission started going out on my car on the way to the beach. I called Bob andhe stayed late with a mechanic to make sure I made it to his shop. After I told him how brief my stay was he started on it that night. He had it ready by the time I left the beach. These guysare awesome. I highly recommend them.

Our trans was in bad shape but we made it to the RV park. Being from Michigan we took a chance on Transmission Plus. Bob took excellent care of us and the job was done right at a fair price. We highly recommend Transmission Plus.

I drove all the way to the beach to have my car checked because my transmission was slipping based on reviews thinking I would get great service😡 I was told to take my little one out that was sleeping so that he could test drive it around the block. He hoped in my car and reversed, then pulled back up and hops out says Somethings wrong with the power steering so I cant help you He then says Get that fixed and come see me....Walks off doesnt say anything else...Thats perfectly fine because my money can spend elsewhere!! And I will not be back so freakin RUDE!!!! 😡😡😡😡

Charged me for new motor and fan. Which I hope it is. But now the transmission will not go into reverse which worked fine before BOB GOT AHOLD OF IT AND IS STILL RUNNING HOT. WHAT MAKES THINGS WORSE IS NOONE WILL ANSWER PHONE GOES STRAIGHT TO VOICE MAIL FOR THE LAST WEEK. If anyone has a different number please let me know.

My transmission wasnt shifting properly, went to 3 or 4 places in town (panama city), best price was. 1600 and 4 days. aginst my better judgement, i went to the beach and got the best deal. transmission fixed, saved chunk of cash, got it back on time. wow, honest mechanicsthank you

I received friendly professional service from Transmissions Plus. I called our two local mechanics who both recommended this company.They replaced the transmission and timing belt on my Honda Odyssey as quickly as they could get the parts in. I would recommend them to tourists and locals.

Dont trust this place...this shop is for one-time customers only. Never fixed our transmission. Charged about $4K to rebuild transmission and it did not work. Never refunded. The owner Bob is dishonest and lack of integrity. Im filing FCC complaint.

Actually took the time to dig through the bandaids previously applied to get to the actual problem. Then came up with a solution. Good about keeping me informed of the progress.

Transmission went out during our trip from Indianapolis to PCB. We brought the vehicle to Bob. He was super in what was a traumatic situation. He helped secure a transmission which arrived 5 days later than promised, help get us a place to stay and held our luggage when we had to move out of our vacation condo. He also offered to let us go to his complex and use the pool for the day while we waited. When the transmission arrived, Jason worked late and got us set for the very next day. Super people. Cant thank them enough for everything.

This long overdue review cant sing enough praises for Bob and his crew at Transmissions Plus. The tranny on our Ford chassis RV was making an increasingly louder whine, which they diagnosed as a failing pump in early October of 2016. We are full-time in this RV, so time was crucial for us for numerous reasons. Bob gave us 3 options and we chose a rebuilt with a quote of around $6500, give or take, gave him a deposit on a Wednesday and he ordered the unit. We dropped the camper off Sunday and the following Friday it was done, $700 UNDER quote! He kept in touch with updates and was really clued in to the fact that this is our home and the inconvenience that created. We drove it back to our volunteer jobs in Arizona and it ran perfectly. They were absolutely great, and I am a retired mechanic and a fussy PITA! Thanks Bob!

I am the Owner and would to comment on the review of Tracey Carrington. Miss Carrington came in to my shop and said that she did`nt want to be there and she tried everything to keep from coming. We have never worked on a car for her before. She wanted the price on everything that would make her car overheat. I said I would need to check it first. She than got mad and left.

I was on vacation to pcb when 3 days before I had to return home my z71 tahoes rear differential exploded. Literally exploded! I started calling around and got the same response of I can maybe get it next week or the week after. I called transmission plus expecting to hear the same thing but instead was greeted courteously and they completely understood my situation and urgency. They sent a tow truck immediately to my location to get my truck and called me back to make sure I was ok. That afternoon I received another phone call to instruct me of what they had found and I needed a whole rear axle assembly and they could have it in by the next day. The next day they called to say it was in but I needed rear brakes and I had a frozen shock so Id need new ones I figure while its there why not. 47 hours after my tahoe catastrophically left me and my family stranded transmission + called to say they test drove it and everything was working fine again. I was so relieved! We own an auto repair shop in KY and I understand the time and effort it takes to accomplish the task transmission + accomplished especially when the tahoe has an aftermarket suspension lift, wheels, and tires. I am extremely grateful for the honest hard working people who came through for me and mine in my time of need. These guys are great! I highly recommend them for any of your needs!

Very unsatisfied with their service. My serpentine belt came off, so my car lost its charge to the battery and power steering. Towed it in to their shop on Monday and let them know that I could pick it up at the end of the week. Called on Friday and they said they ordered the wrong belt and they would call me back on Saturday. Ended up calling them on Saturday and they were closed. Called them back on Monday and they said they were just getting the right belt put on and they would call me back with a quote for the full repair which they failed to do once again. Decided to take the taxi to the shop on Tuesday to talk with someone face-to-face, and the manager was out. Talked to the mechanic and he said they finally put the belt on but they still needed to find my power steering leak. Said he would start on it and have it done in 3 hours. Got a call back from the manager 1 1/2 hours later saying that they would have to order the hose for my power steering and would have to keep it another day. Sick of my car being held hostage, I just went and picked it up and took it to another shop to finish the job. When I let the manager know how unsatisfied I was with their service, he was full of excuses. Just totally unprofessional... Wouldnt suggest this place to anyone.

The gentleman behind the desk, Im assuming the owner, raised his voice to me when I asked for a quote. Very rude, not sympathetic to my stressful situation at all. I will not be back!

This place is garbage called Bob to tell him that my parts were not properly put on at his shop he gave me a stupid answer we dont warranty it will not recommend this place to anyone not even my worst enemy shop like this wont last long
