My car died in the parking lot of the VCA right next door to this auto shop. I walked over and asked if the guys would come take a look—they were super friendly and helpful and came right over, jumped my battery to get my car working again, and offered to put in a new battery since my battery was on the older side. The battery replacement took ten minutes (so glad it was quick since my cat was waiting in the vet) and seems to have been very reasonably priced. So happy my car broke down next to these guys, they made a bad day turn quickly into a better one!

Had to leave my car in the middle of the night to an overnight attendant who was very accomodating and got a call early next morning about options & cost. Everything went very smooth and cost effective. This is my new go to shop as long as a live in this area.

Old MDX has an issue with the SVA brake light constant on. Left the car there for half a day. BJ tells me that there is a steering code which can only handled by dealership. Very honest and professional.

Great & honest service! and thats a lot to say about a mechanic these days. These guys might not be the cheapest but they are more affordable than a dealer and more trustworthy than most other places, plus their techs (especially J) are pretty knowledgeable and thorough. Just make sure you schedule ahead because they get pretty busy and be prepared to leave your car all day. I highly recommend them.

Incredible competence and flexibility. Our entire family has trusted Jim Davis for over 30 years. The Mercedes place couldnt find tires for our 1990 560 SEL (after 3 days!), basically gave up (!?) and said wed have to get new rims anyways. I took it to Jim Davis who overnight sealed the rims, got all the tires I needed, and I saved A BUNDLE.I used to take my 1991 Toyota in and say, I got $162 - do what you can to make it legal and not kill me. Jim would explain what was fixed, everything needed later, and what could be ignored.I got the AAA Plus membership just so I could tow it up to 100 miles to these guys.Also NICE and POLITE people work there!

Honest service. I took my car in for a battery replacement because my dealer service shop told me the battery was weak.Michael at Jim Davis Auto Service told me he could not in good faith sell me a new battery because he did a load test and the battery was fine, and he showed me that the manufacturers date code showed that it was only 2 years old and had a 6 year warranty. And he did it at no charge!

Over the past year, Ive used their services on 3 occasions (smog check, tire replacement, steering fluid pump replacement, bulb replacement) on my 12-year old Accord. They were always prompt, knowledgeable and their charges reasonable.Im so pleased with the latest encounter that I decided to write this review. They were able to diagnose that the brake lamp indicator was due to a blown bulb. Time: under 10 mins. Cost: a token fee + cost of bulb. On another encounter, they were able to engineer a quick solution (replace rubber tube instead of the entire pump line) to get my old car running. I highly recommend their services.

This Review is solely for the mechanic Michael who works at this place.He is extremely rude and not customer friendly at all.Given the good reviews, I guess they probably do a good job, but I would rather take my car to a place where I am not snapped at.Good riddance to Jims Automotive. Never coming back here again.

Competent and honest. After being introduced to Jim Davis and Michael 15 years ago, I slowed down on how much I do on my own vehicle, and about 12 year ago (when I got a used roadster and had been to Jim Davis a couple times) I stopped working on my own car. These guys have helped me keep the roadster running at top notch all that time. I live farther away now, but I still insist on taking my cqr to them. Once my wifes hatch back went off warranty, she started bringing her car here as well. Michael and BJ mainly run the show now, and it is as good as ever. Their honesty and skill keeps us coming back anytime we have a problem, ane my wife does her normal oil+ servicing here too.

I had my brake pads and rotors replaced last week. Michael did a great job, charged a fair price and got my car back to me in a couple hours.
