I live across the street from this place.. Let me just tell you that they 100% sell the oldest possible food to you everytime. Very bad quality. Always the bare minimum they need to legally sell it. Everything is almost expired/tastes off. Not everything..but alot of stuff. Over the course of 8 years here I can say that they are the worst grocery store Ive ever found by far. No care in the world about expiration dates. Food tastes so bad sometimes you wonder how thats not expired or if they just sell you expired food.

Meat selection is disgusting. Steak 99% of the time tastes awful. Chicken is the worst..tastes like rubberbands. Their ground beef isnt even good. Wouldnt recommend any meat at all from here. Junk food tends to be expired as well. Pop tarts, bagel dogs, potato chips, beef jerky and many other items ive gotten from here taste expired and just old. Place is pretty much a dump no use for junkfood or meat. Overall 0/10 for a grocery store. Avoid at all costs.

This is by far my favorite place to shop, I worked here many moons ago and loved my job so much. Even now when I walk in I feel at home I like the smaller cozy store and they still have everything I need there. Love love love this place and the people too.

Its a smaller jewel.... the people are nice and helpful however the selection is really small.... if you live nearby its nice, otherwise not worth a trip

Granted Ive worked at his store for 12 years, so as an employee i gotta say i love this little store. Its a small community in its own way. And we work together as a team. Pretty good chicken from the deli. Good bread and donuts from bakeshop.

The most incredible pharmacy staff who go above and beyond for the seniors at so the senior living community down the road everyday. Denisa and her team including Cindy and cathy go out of their way for the sake of the seniors and were even able to coordinate vaccines for 100 seniors and staff at a time when it was extremely difficult to do so. Im very grateful for the pharmacy team.

Curbside experience here has been excellent. The guys and gals that bring the groceries out are timely and friendly. Seem like good, reliable people. Food selection is great. Best curbside grocery experience out there.

Horrible pickup. Only got 1/2 of order did not have option to cancel order and was told oh well its the holidays!!!!! Also told that items advertised and in my cart arent even carried at that store!!!!! Seriously, what a joke. Horrible store would never shop there. VERY POOR CUSTOMER RELATIONS AND COMMUNICATIONS. IF I COULD GIVE NO STARS I WOULD!!!!!! Customer Service 800 line said should have been given an option to cancel order at that point since only 1/2 there but I WAS NOT GIVEN THAT CHOICE. Never again. Horrible experience!!!!!

I love Jewel. When shopping based on the flyers there are really great offers/specials, especially when using the Jewel app! Literally just got a free full size of organic peanut butter! Along with many more great super offers. The customer service is always great and helpful. Products are well stocked and very organized and clean quality products. Love Jewel! In our family we used to never go in thinking it was extremely expensive but definitely has some of the best sales.

I have to say, they have an excellent bakery, and the hot food is well made. However they didnt have green peppers when I went which was disappointing.

Tuesday evening 8/10/21, cashier double scanned most expensive item. The item was $8.59. Weird that only the most expensive item was double scanned!

Close to home. Have the items our family of three use at fair prices and some can be BOGO value. Hours open are attractive since we are late night people.

They have an awesome deli section that you can order sandwiches from. You get to choose from literally dozens of cheeses, hams, turkey and chicken.

The Jewel on Dundee usually has no stock of the items on sale. I always have to go to the smaller Jewel, which they always have stock.Also, Jewel tries to sell way to much expired yogurt. They had June 30th expiration dates on the shelves, July 3rd. I just told some kid last week to get the old yogurt off.Try teaching your employees how to read expiration dates, its not that hard.🤦‍♀️

Its a very small, old school, Jewel. Chicken is usually dry on Mondays... Great on others. The rotisserie chickens are on slow rotation. The employees are always really friendly. But its just limited by space and probably budget.

Great local grocery chain that usually has cheaper prices than some of the other grocery stores in the area. Its the closest grocery store to my house which makes it convenient. If I want more selection, I head over to Marianos.

While the employees are nice and helpful this Jewel is far from a desirable shopping stop for me. I usually stop in at lunch time to grab soup and salad and whatever my grocery list has on it. There is never any soup other than the very bottom of the pots. The salad bar is ok but the lettuce can be brown. And they dont even have a nice huge deli Im used too. Asked where whole chickens are and was told they dont carry them. Plus the entire store set up is backwards from what Im used to. Overall these arent the only flaws Ive seen but this is my last choice when I need to go to Jewel.

Ive been going here for nearly 10 years now, and it seems like the managers are trying to cut expenses by not throwing out as much rotten food. I couldnt even tell you how many times in this passed year Ive had to come back after realizing all the berries and carrots they sold me were rotten. At LEAST half their produce has visible mold on it on any given day. Its only a matter of time before this place gets converted into a Marianos

Too many times I attempt to buy produce only to have a stocker blocking me or, as yesterday, literally getting me out of the way so he could stock strawberries. He didn’t even care that I didn’t get the berries. Not the first time I left the cart with other groceries in an isle. Went elsewhere. If it happens again, I am done with Jewel.

I don’t shop anywhere else. This Jewel location is by far the best managed grocery store in the area. The store is always stocked full with all my grocery needs. Everyone is always helpful and friendly. Shop here and you’ll see what I mean.

Smaller market-place Jewel that is convenient for those in and around Downtown Palatine. While not having the upscale look-and-feel of Marianos or Whole Foods, the updated produce section does fine. Within walking distance of many condos and townhomes, its location and convenience is its greatest advantage.

This store is small, old, and needs updating. Its pretty well run, but particularly after the Caputos renovations its not competitive.

I have been going to that jewel for decades. It has certainly changed a lot throughout the years but, the staff is very friendly, the selection is vast, and the prices are reasonable.

This is one of the famous grocery store near Palatine Railway station. This place sells more organic stuffs than any other retail chains. This places sells liquor at discounted prices. Every now and then u can find liquors and wines on sale.

There is a reason shoppers keep returning this Jewel-Osco store in Palatine. Between the great service, fresh produce, great tasty bakery selection and meat and deli items, the store is clean and well organized. Steve Colello, the store director contributes greatly to the community in many ways, year-round.

The store is dirty. The lines are long. The bagger sneezed in his hands, wiped it on his shirt and continued to bag. When I asked him to stop bagging my order, he simply move to a different checker and continued bagging. The manager was made aware and he did nothing

Great store for all your needs

Never had a problem there with employees. But lets get real the prices for food and the quantity is horruble. They play the whole choose quality over quantity or quantity over quality game. So pathetic they have the right distribution system but dont actually realize many people want to help tend the garden so that the garden tends to their needs. Very greedy, they dont pay their employees enough.

Stopped in for a quick can of soda. People were friendly and prices are good.
