Lexus 450H- Wheel alignment. I feel very lucky to have been referred to Advanced Auto and Truck Repair. I added 4 new tires and needed to get an alignment. I was a little skeptical going somewhere other than my dealer.Boy, I am so glad I did. Advanced Auto and Truck Repair did a great job on my alignment. My car drives smoother and straighter now for half the price my dealer would have charged.STOP reading reviews and just go here. They are extremely knowledgeable and trustworthy. Point in case. Originally, I brought my car in for an alignment and brake job. Accordingly to my dealer, I only had 1mm and 3mm of brake pads left. Thankfully, I got a second opinion because Advanced Auto and Truck Repair said I still have 30% of my pads left and they are not ready to be replaced. They could have taken me for $800+. But they were honest. And it is so refreshing to have found an honest mechanic. I know there are many good honest mechanics out there but it is very expensive going through the hassle trying to find one. I am very fortunate to have found this place!

I was telling the representative on the phone about my 03 Miata and my P0012 code, and right away he told me the issue about replacing the timing belt. About two weeks ago, I actually went to Mazda and got the same diagnosis for $166. I wish I had brought it my Miata directly to this shop the first time around! Honest and upfront about the repairs!

I took my car in for the rear brakes to be repaired. The service was great. I asked them if it could be finished by 12:00 pm and they were on time. The price was cheaper than the other shops l called in the area. The courtesy guy who picked me up was very friendly. My first time here and l will visit them again in the future.

Weve been going to Advanced Auto and Truck Repair for quite a few years now for our routine maintenance and any time weve had get something fixed on our cars. They have always been very reasonable and will always explain what needs to be done for the fix and weve been satisfied every time weve had them do work.

They treat you good and don’t steer you the wrong way just to make money.

Quoted for $369, total came out to $368. Work was done fast, was offered a ride home when I dropped off my car, and car works great now! After they ran diagnostics, they let me know what the issue was and other issues that I had not known about. They were not pushy in the slightest about the work they suggested and I would definitely recommend!

I kept hearing a squeaking noise when I would apply the brakes to my vehicle. I called the shop at 8am when the opened and talked to a very kind gentleman who said bring it in and they would check it out within the hour, free of charge for inspection. I dropped off the car and they called me back within 2 hours and told me there was nothing to worry about and it was just rust from my rotors which did not need to be replaced immediately. Most places would try to pressure to change parts and make repairs but I can honestly say this place is full of hardworking, honest people who you can trust.

I was very frazzled when I called midway from my drive home from work at 5:30pm when my breaks went out. Megan from the front desk was so nice and helpful. I inched my way on the side streets and made it safely to your shop. Next day my breaks were repaired as well as some other needed work. 1st time customer and 100% agree with other locals who say Advanced Auto repair is the place to go.

I have used Adavanced Automotive for my family’s 4 vehicles. They are always professional and courteous. They always let me know exactly what needs to be done and why so there is never any surprise. (Which I’ve heard other shops do a lot) The work is always completed in a timely manner. I have used them for years and will continue to do so and recommend them to everyone I know. They have truly prolonged the life of all of my vehicles.

First off, finding an honest repair shop is hard these days. Finding one when you are not in the same town is even harder. The guys here at advanced are a real class act. I had them look over a vehicle that I was considering buying, I am from out of state so I had to trust the word of strangers...but they delivered. They Then gave me a detailed run-down of what they found upon inspection, they even gave me a run down of the area where the car lot was, shared personal experiences with ones in town they dealt with, and got the vehicle in within a very timely manner. If I am ever in the area, I would 10000% give my business to the guys at advanced. I dealt with Jim and Dave, but if all the employees are as honest and upfront as these two, you are in great hands.

This place is great. I came in for my first time with a concern and not only did they take a look at my car right away but one of the men offered to give me a lift home while they fix everything up since I didn’t have a way to get back and couldn’t wait there because of covid-19 purposes. When I came back to pick up my car one of the owners broke down the estimate for me and also personally showed and educated me about brake pads and how they can deteriorate over time and become really dangerous. Everybody needs a guy. Youve found one here. Theyve been always good and upfront with things I should do v. This game I have to do v. Things that could be just left alone. They extended the life of my Aztek for 17 years. They have coffee. What more can I ask for in a mechanic?

Their communication, knowledge, thoroughness, etc. were phenomenal! Syed went above and beyond to communicate about my car and its status. I was kept informed the whole time and they answered any questions I had.After they did the repairs, I did take the car to another place, where they let me look underneath it myself to confirm any problem areas. Out of the things Advanced Auto claimed needed to be fixed ASAP, I could only see a couple that would be issues in the near future. It also appears they replaced some components that had been replaced just a couple months prior (I found this out afterward from the people who had worked on the car previously).After getting a second opinion from another mechanic and getting vastly different answers, Id probably go back to Advanced Auto for well-done & reasonably priced repairs, but only once I get multiple opinions and know for certain there is a major issue.

I had a check-engine-light issue that I couldnt figure out on my own, and Advanced quickly identified the problem, gave me a fair price to fix the issue, and had my car finished the same day. I prefer to typically work on my car myself, not only for cost savings but also for fun. The price they gave me to fix the issue made too much sense to pass up, despite the missed opportunity to get out the socket wrenches and hang out in the garage. I would recommend their services to any family and friends and will surely be back myself. Great service, very friendly, and fair prices.

A friend of mine was treated horrendously. He called them on Monday about the one code he had gotten from his emissions test. His car has extensive body damage as well but that might not have been an issue. Apparently, they waited eight hours to plug in their diagnostic tool and then called him saying the code he had given them from his emissions test wasn’t real. They didnt return his paperwork to him, for some odd reason. My friend asked for his keys and asked why it had taken all day to plug a car in, and an employee came out from behind the desk, charged at him, and got right in his face. Then, the employee started calling him rude names while my friend walked away to go to his car to leave. He left his own review of his experience and it has inexplicably disappeared from the reviews. I wont ever give this place business.

Came today to get an estimate for IDOT repairs after their tow truck damaged my car. They were very upfront with the fact that I would need a body shop and not their shop if I wanted my car completely fixed and recommended one for me. They were very fast and even offered to do a smaller repair if I couldn’t afford the body work. Will definitely come back for any auto needs!

Heard about these guys from a friend and tried them out. They did such a good job the first time, I have continued to return. They’re helpful, friendly, down-to-earth, and very informative. If you need a thorough explanation of what and why, they will give it to you. A couple times, I’ve taken my car in not know what the issue was, and they got to the bottom of it and fixed the root of the issue and the issue itself. I’m a “no shortcuts” kind of person, so I respect a wholeness-focused work ethic, and these guy have that. Trust is also extremely important to me and I feel they are entirely trustworthy. To do good work is their primary focus, and that comes through when you talk to them. These are guys who know and love cars and care about people.

Almost 20 years ago, being new to the area, I asked coworkers where they take their cars for repairs. This place came highly recommended. So when my daughter called last week asking what to do with a car that broke down on the road, I did not even consider the many shops near where she was. David explained to me what absolutely has to be fixed and what other services he recommends. The car is back on the road and runs better then ever. The whole experience felt like having a trusted friend help me in the time when I am vulnerable and just don’t have any leverage. Definitely no unpleasant aftertaste, usually associated with a visit to a random shop.

My dad had put freon in my cars air conditioner twice and it just wasnt staying cold. I asked for recommendations from a Facebook group in Palatine, and this place came highly recommended. I called and made an appointment, they explained to me what they were going to do to my air conditioner on my appointment day. I dropped my car off, the gentleman inside was very nice and explained to me again what they would do and what it might cost. I had a friend pick me up, but they do offer a shuttle service within Palatine. They called me a few hours later with the results and the good news that my air conditioner was fixed (nothing major, just needed a charge). I was able to pick up my car after work, and the gentleman who checked me out and gave me my keys was also very nice. They followed up with me and offered me $10 off of my next service there. Its always nice when a recommended place turns out to be as great as people say it is!

We recently moved to Palatine area, my 2015 sienna was due for service. After finishing the free services and toyota care plus (extended service), I was debating between dealership and independent shops. Advanced Auto and Truck repair had great reviews everywhere, so decided to take my car there - I am glad that I took that decision. They were friendly from the time I dropped my vehicle and were honest with their observation, did not try to up-sell any additional fixes, they even upgraded my wiper blades to a better one without any extra money after I noticed some issue with their initial replacement. I truly support them and will take my vehicle again without second thoughts.
