As someone who cares about his car I must say Nicks shop has done an excellent job for me on multiple occasions.I had engine problems and Nick gave me a reasonable estimate and did not overcharge for parts (like many shops do). He also took the time to show and explain the fix to me.The only negative I can think of is the time the repairs took. Due to the size of his shop he can only get so many vehicles through. But he was honest about this and communicated well.

I had a rattling sound in my car, I dropped it off Nick was able to give me a fair quote, and was able to give me a realistic time frame I had until it NEEDED to be fixed. Had engine issues with my car. Called and was able to bring my car in the same day for a diagnostic. I was called by a worker and given an explanation of what was wrong and it was explained in a way I could understand. I was given a reasonable quote and work was completed in a timely manner. Car runs better than before. Staff was friendly and polite. Will definitely go back if I have car issues in the future.

Nick you are awesome! My husband and I have been unable to drive one of our vehicles for the past two weeks due to it being at the dealership. Initially our car would not start, we were told it needed a new starter, great. It was fixed and everything was fine. Then we were told a fuel line split and that would be a couple hundred dollars to replace, and then were told that our engine was going bad which would be even more money. Mind you, we have had this car since October of last year and have NEVER had an issue with anything up until now. Our car was basically being held hostage from us at the dealership due to many ridiculous reasons. One night our windows were left down when we had torrential rain and the inside of our car was saturated. We did some google searching and came across Nick In Time, we brought our car in for Nick to take a look at it and check everything over for us. We have been iffy on driving it due to just not knowing the actual problem or if there even was one to begin with. I have never trusted a service provider to do good work for fair prices as much as I have with Nick of Time. My fiance and I now take our 3 cars there. I work for another Mechanic company which happens to be mobile. Our lines froze in the 10 degree weather, we shopped around for places to come and mount and balance some tires. I called and immediately was told without a question yes, and was not charged for the time to use their mounting machine. Its hard to find good people and a little bit of kindness goes a long way. I would most certainly recommend this company for any work needed in the Owings Mills area.

I had my exhausted system looked at the dealership and was told I need it to replace everything for about 1300. I was told about Nick of time and I called to explain my problem they told me to bring the car and they will look at it, to my surprise they only need it to weld a piece that came Lose and it cost me way less than what the dealership was asking. Very honest and quality service. Wont take my car anywhere else

Running from S. FLA hurricanes, my 2011 Audi A5 broke down. I originally thought the repairs would be $$$ but it wasnt that bad at all! Nick was very honest and even took the time to check up on me the next day knowing I would be driving back to Florida. If Im ever in the area again I know where to go!

First off, I dont normally write reviews, however, I brought my Mercedes Benz CLS 550 to Nick for a full service. One of the nicest and most honest people Ive met doing european service. He tells you when its right, I let him have the car for two days doing all my major service, diff, oil, checking all fluids, everything was top notch. Hes also one of the first to tell you when he cant accomplish something as he has a good tally of experts he deals with who can accomplish the goals. He advised me on my transmission service to deal with Whitcraft who were also exceptional. Not allot of people do quality work on European vehicles, Nick is one of them. Nick will have my business for the foreseeable future. I like people who take their time to do things right and Nick is top notch.

I have a 2001 Oldsmobile Aurora V8 that I purchased used in 2006 with a mileage reading of 20K. The vehicle retailed for 46K in 200l. The vehicle now has 90K miles. I have enjoyed owning and driving this vehicle, except for its major flaw: very poor resistance to under body metal deterioration because of rust and corrosion.When the vehicle leaking brake fluid lines were replaced in March 2018, it was found that the left-side rear coil spring seat was nearly completely gone due to rusting which rendered the vehicle unsafe to drive. Since the vehicle was overall still OK with 90K on the North-Star V8, I sought to get this deteriorated coil seat repaired. The blue-book value of the vehicle was only $1500-2000 which precluded an expensive restorative-type repair. I got repair opinions and cost estimates to fix the coil seat from five different reputable auto repair shops: four of the five were either too expensive or would not do the repair at all. The fifth shop, Nick of Time Automotive, proprietor, Nick Hill, said he would fix the left-side coil seat for $500 and also reinforce the right-side coil seat for $150 which was near failure because of rust deterioration. Both of these jobs were without warranty because of general rust throughout the underbody. I accepted the risk and got Nick Hill to do both jobs. I am very pleased with the thoroughness of the restructured left-side coil seat and the reinforced right-side coil seat repairs. I expect these repairs to last for many years.If you have a special vehicle with a serious structural problem preventing it from being driven, I suggest and recommend that you ask Nick Hill to examine the vehicle. Nick has unusual skill in working around and shielding temperature sensitive fuel tanks which eliminates additional job expense for removing and replacing these parts. Nick’s 16 years plus experience in welding, metal fabrication and fair pricing may keep or put your special vehicle on the road again.Satisfied Customer, Bruce O. Fowler, 30 April 2018
