Lovely place, unique items, good business model.Would the hours were better, but understandable (as I understand it, the staff are volunteer)

I visited both locations today. I LOVE everything about this shop 😍 The employees/salespersons were very helpful and personable. I bought the cutest little finger puppets, an ornament, fun socks, and local crafts. I love that I know my purchases were meaningful as well.

There are so many interesting things to chose from and in a wide range of price ranges. Here is a woven bowl I chose. It was made by Zulu artists out of wire.

Unique gifts made around the world with craftmen/artists being paid a fair wage. Good for people and the planet. I highly recommend the trip to downtown Overland Park.

Love this place for gifts. Fair trade is where its at, and if you are buying someone jewelry, you arent losing anything to style just because you are shopping with social justice in mind.

I always enjoy a trip to Ten Thousand Villages. It is a tremendous fair trade shop with gifts, clothing, jewelry, and decorations from around the world. With the holidays approaching, the number appropriate decorations increase.

A nice store. One like I havent seen before. When we first arrived, we were met by a volunteer who told us about the mission of the organization, to promote healthy ecomonies around the world. The volunteers are very helpful. Definitely things there you wont find anywhere else!

I just love this place. Its a not-for-profit organization, and most importantly its fair trade. This means that every single thing you buy empowers impoverished peoples of other countries, and especially ones that help give women Financial Independence. One could argue that its a bit on the pricey side, but a lot of their dresses have pockets, and all of the baskets and Home Decor that I purchased there have held up incredibly well.

Every visit provides you with so much to explore and new things to see. Very nice to know youre helping someone who really needs the support in making a living. If youre looking for a gift and are unsure of what to buy, I think a trip to this store will result in something unique catching your eye. I think the pricing seems very reasonable.
