I took my Cub cadet 26 inch snowblower to have it looked at as it wouldnt start. A week later thomas (mechanic) called and told me that my carburetor was shot and needed to be replaced. I gave the green light to have it fixed and within 2 days it was ready to be picked up. Thomas went the extra mile by showing me what needed to be done to keep the carburetor in great working condition. I couldnt be any happier by the service that was performed on my cub cadet snowblower. I will not hesitate to go back for any other issues that may arise. Thank you small engine repair service. Im one happy customer.
Anyone up for a class action lawsuit? Spent over a grand and waited a month to end up with it still not working! How theyre still in business is beyond me! DONT GO THERE! CROOKS!
I dropped off 2 generators for repair in April 2021. They called about 1 week later gave an estmate. I agreed to the price. Waited, finally called the 2nd week of July. I was told that the mechanic that worked on them took them apart and then quit working there. They cannot be fixed now cause parts are missing. We cant help you, come pick them up. We are not responsible cause he quit. Crooks, thieves and liars. Dont go here
Very poor job on a simple task that is repairing a flat tire, probably due to no standards, I will post pictures and everyone can decided whether you want to get that kind of service or not, I personally will never used them again.
A long story short, unbeknownst to me, I overfilled my Toro snow blower with oil, causing all kinds of problems. I took it to Kips where I expected to leave it for repair. I explained what I did to a young man in the service department. He immediately knew what the problem was. He confirmed it at the snow blower. He told me all I needed to do was drain the excess oil. I brought it home, did what he said, and it is working fine. No charge! An unscrupulous repairer could have charged me a lot of money. I appreciate the honesty with which I was treated and the fact they didnt charge me a thing. Ill certainly return there the next time I screw up my snow blower or lawn mower!!!!
Great place with great prices.
Was told my bill would be $52 and when I picked up my mower it was $102! Cashier thought I already put down $50 for service which I did not. The cable was $22 that they replaced and installed. Who would spend $80 on installing a cable that I could do myself?!?! Horrible, just horrible customer service! Actually, non existent customer service. Will not go there again and will share this experience with my neighbors.
Have done business with predecessor 25 years.Bought mowers, blowers, all service.New owner just charge $168 labor to tune up push mower, plus 3% to use a debit card. Total bill$228...Time to find new business to work with.
Not worth the time or frustration. Brought my lawnmower in for a simple blade sharpen after calling and being told they could do it that morning. After checking in and paying, I was told it would be done some time next week. After I explained what I was told they told me theyd mark my work order Priority 1 and may be able to have it back later that afternoon or first thing Monday. When I called for status Monday afternoon they said it wasnt done yet and maybe tomorrow. Called again Tuesday afternoon for update, after some time to find my work order I was told it was done but they had to finish the paperwork and theyd call me back in a little bit. After not receiving a call back I decided to go today, 3 days later, and get my lawnmower one way or another. When I arrived to pick up my lawnmower, they sifted through a pile of work orders and pulled out mine, told me I owed $120 which I replied with a No I dont. After I provided my copy of the work order they were able to find theirs and pushed my copy back at me. Once I unloaded my lawnmower from the car I checked if they actually perform the job I found new scratches on it that werent there when I dropped it off. I always prefer to use local businesses where I can and had good experiences with this business before but it seems they are under new management and either are overwhelmed or unorganized or both. Lack of communication, lack of follow through and seemingly dont care about their customers. I will not be back and its a shame.
I have been using Quantz for all my lawnmower servicing needs. They offer quality work and good customer service. However, if you are bringing in your mower for annual maintenance/tune-up, I highly recommend you bring it in at the END of the season. If you bring it at the start of the season (April), expect to wait 3-4 weeks to get it back since everyone else is doing the same thing!
If I can give this place a zero I would. I saw some of the 5 star review on this and I would argue that their being too generous. The place and business is not forthcoming on repair when they picked up my new lawnmower, I was charge $90 for no repair, and the idiot owner asked if he can leave the lawn mower so that I dont have to pay for the pick up service. Quantz small engine you suck!
We have taken our Toro push mower to this place every spring to have it tuned up. NEVER AGAIN. To whoever the new owner of this place is...you will likely lose your loyal customer base if you double the cost of your services. And charging $48 just to look at it when we told you what service we needed done is just cheating your customer. We paid over $200 to tune up a push mower??? I wasnt buying a new mower! If youre looking for small engine or lawn mower repair services, I would recommend you look elsewhere. The most recent reviews tell the story. Which is too bad, because it use to be a really nice place to do business.
Terrible customer service. Called serval times to check status of the mower and no response. Finally went to pick it up, and was asked to pay for charges that were never discussed or disclosed before. Do yourself a favor and find a different shop. Thought it would be good to work with a local small company...but clearly that was a mistake.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The price that I was quoted was very competitive. I would definitely go back.
Friendly service and a vast array of parts and repairs to assist you in all of your small engine requirements.
Supposedly fixed my stalling snowblower. It still didnt work, I took it back and the the shop employee couldnt find the problem.
Took awhile for the diagnosis communication but once done it runs better than new!
Great service and many many parts in stock to always have what you need 3
Service is horrific. Charged money to look at a mower that he couldn’t fix and then said if I wanted the mower back he would charge me $8 per day for storage. What a joke!! Do yourself a favor and bring your business elsewhere.
Good quality work. I go there for my lawn mower and blades service
This is the only place I go for small engine repair. I needed a new push-mower and they had just what I wanted, used for a great price.
Great people and very helpful
VERY knowledgeable. Picked up and returned my riding Troy-Built that was smoking and dying out!
