Good prices. Today I bought Top Round sliced for only $2.99 a lb. Made a Beef Salad with Spring Mix, Onions, Tomatoes Asian Cucumber. All ingredients from Food max.

Prices are Groovy. Some Shelves are stocked of the things I use. While others are sometimes bare. Which means those must be the hotter items that people buy more of before leaving the store.I enjoy looking at the price tags for Maxx Savings.

Food max in Chico and Oroville offer the best prices compared to any other stores in the he area. Not only that....they are well organized....have wide aisles that are easy to navigate with other shoppers...and plenty of cashiers to help make your shopping experience convenient and fast.

Has actually been noticeably getting better pricing, more variety, remaining in stock, the staff can be helpful others flat rude and irritating. The store seems to be being kept more clean in appearance and organized though the parking lot is the same filthy and thats from the people in this town being disrespectful and the homeless living up to peoples expectation and not being clean.

Great shop for groceries~ Weve found the produce is nice and trustworthy (holds up well if we dont cook it right away). Also a great place to get generic birthday cakes that taste great and work for all occasions (surprisingly difficult to find around this town for some reason).

Im giving 4 stars. At the end of the day this is a fine grocery store with good selection and decent prices. Sometimes they have forklifts blocking the aisles and big ladders in the way. I know they have to stock, of course.

Its where I go for deals on meat. Yummy, yummy meat. For the BBQ, maybe a little stir fry, definitely tacos. Mmmm eat dinner with the family.

They still need to open mre registers but they kept everyone moving. Seems like employees arent as customer friendly as they once were. Not as many hellos and can i help you find anything.

Advertise meat for sale then usually have none. Also their meat tends to go bad very quickly. Long lines at checkout

Place had no employees when I came i and their were a couple of uncleaned spills. When I went to get in line only one register was one and self checkout was closed.

The produce is always atrocious and no matter how many complaints are filed they refuse to clean the displays and remove the rotten produce. To make matters worse, the meat department was entirely cross contaminated by old blood and the chicken packages were so bloody that when I picked up a package the blood poured down my wrist like I cut myself. Dirty. Disgusting. Unacceptable. Do NOT waste your time or money here.

Rude staff. Good percentage of time they try and close doors earlier than hours posted. Have made complaints to corporate but they dont seem to care their employees close the store early. Sometimes just 5 or 10 mins early one time as early as an hour earlier

FoodMaxx is a great place to shop, for your grocery needs. There a lot of great employees. And relaxing, very clean place to come buy your groceries.Its very easy to find what youre looking for from one end to the other. Sometimes you can find some very good bargains,I must explain during the beginning of the pandemic, this was the only store we can find toilet paper or paper. I purchased some 2% organic milk tonight, thats not due to expire till May. The milk was spoiled. I called to report it because I bet money the whole shipment is spoiled due to being left out to long. The clerk tells me they are short staffed and thats the reason for the spoiled milk. Smh. Im very disappointed.

Its a store that a million people shop at, they dont have some things I was looking for. The shelfs are always stocked. They need a better selection of healthy foods. All in all its a good place to shop.

FRUSTRATING!!The night supervisor is a real piece of work! Had me jump from line to line. Making me later for my dinner party on New Years Eve. He told me I couldnt use the Self Check Out after I had already begun ringing my groceries. There were 3 other SCO registers open and NO ONE behind me. I asked why, he said I had too many groceries. For who?! My son and I were the only ones there. Soooo, When I got back to the line, 3 more customers had gotten in line in front of me. While waiting to be checked out, he took a customer thats behind me, with a full basket, and ushered her into another line with only 1 customer. When I asked why he would take her first, he says, I know what Im doing. Just do what I say. You better off that way. Rude! I stayed and the other lady finished and left before me. When I left, I told him that I felt like that was wrong and he should think and be aware of the way he speaks to his minority customers 🤔

The people there are usually always nice and helpful. Can usually find what Im looking for and the prices are pretty good.

They have a few good employees who know what customer service really is, but only a few. Now they have stopped allowing customers into the store 15 minutes before closing and starting at one hour before closing, they announce how long you have until they close every 15 minutes! I found that to be extremely rude and shows little respect for the customer.

The store is clean & well stocked, employees are great. However, this is the only store if been to that is pushing the hardest for NO cash. All self checkout is NO cash.

Dirty and no meat selection

Incredibly unprofessional employees who barely wear the mask and wont bother enforcing the rule. Theres so many people in and out with no mask there, save your money and go to Winco in Chico because that isnt an issue there.Just very disappointed in the employees lack of care on the mask mandate.

Dont go in there after dark looking a little scroungy like we just get off work you go in there theyre going to follow you around like youre a thief they always do

I dont shop here often, but like to check it out now and then because prices are usually pretty good. When I arrived at the store all of the carts were in the parking lot. That was a first. I had to walk back out and round one up. The store needs to be emptied and reorganized in my opinion. I always walk more than I should have to looking for the products I want. On this trip I was happier with the produce area than I have been in the past. The organics section had what I needed and there seemed to be more grown in the USA items available. I did find various isles blocked by stockers and their equipment. This is probably normal for late Sunday afternoon, but still annoying. On a positive note the FoodMaxx bakery always has the best pumpkin pie you can buy and are well stocked during the Holidays. Get the 11 inch pie, its the best!

Prices are not bad here. I always buy a big bag of ice as it is a good price. Employees are friendly and helpful. Have pretty good luck at finding decent tasting fruit. Has a nice selection.

Just came back from shopping at foodmax. We go there because it is cleaner and less crowded. There is a huge sign out front at the door that says it is mandated for everyone entering in the store must wear a mask. I have been trying to ignore the few that dont but It makes me angrier and angrier every time I go in. Today there were 5 people including an employee with out masks. I wear my mask because it protects other people if I were to have covid 19. It does not protect me from the thoughtless people who do not wear a mask. I am 68 I have had cancer 2 times I am having heart p4eoblems right now. My husband is 78 and just went through cancer and has had a heart attack. We are susceptible. What good does it do to have a big sign that says you have to wear a mask if you dont enforce it. People who dont wear masks endanger our lives. But I wear a mask to protect them they wont wear a mask to protect me. Why are you allowing it!!!!10 days laterwent to Foodmaxx here in Oroville, California again. What a big mistake!. I passed 13 people without masks. I asked my self why am I wearing this mask (to protect them ) when they show no consideration for me. When I got up to check out the clerk Daniel T was wearing his mask only over his mouth, When I asked him What the sign out front meant, the one that says state mandate requires anyone entering the store to wear a mask. He said Its there because they told us it had to be. I tried to explain to him that my mask protects people from me (if I had the virus) and their masks protect me from them. HE said why do you have the virus? He said frankly he doesnt were his mask once he leaves the store. And there is nothing he can do he just works there. After hearing to much of his nonsense I walked out. I have been having heart problems my blood pressure has been extremely low, but When I walked out of that store my blood pressure was 147/93 and my hearty rate was 92. I have been shopping at foodmaxx for years but, I will never shop there again.

I realize it is difficult to keep up with less costly places to shop. Sales are great! If you try to give price cuts on items people shop for weekly or biweekly you would draw back many of your customers.

Im not really a fan of this store. I had a problem with the night supervisor once when I had everything worked out with several employees and the store manager to return some money that they shorted me in my change due. And this guy refused to give it to me. I had to come back the following day. The store manager couldnt understand why his employee did this. But it cost me a 35 mile drive to get my $30 dollars back. Plus, theyre meat selection is poor.

Has mix arrays of staple ethnic foods. Be careful of the expiration dates on milk products. Saw a whole section of milk several days past their expiration dates still on the shelves. Fresh produce has good selection and restocked consistently. Good job produce section!
